AUTOMATIC ILLUMINATION DEVICE FOR UMBRELLA

An illumination device for umbrella comprises at least one illumination member and at least one magnetic member, wherein the illumination member has a lampshade with at least one illumination element and a lamp stand, the lamp stand has a battery, a control circuit with a sensing switch and a control switch connecting with the sensing switch, the illumination member is installed among the umbrella ribs, on the umbrella ribs or on the runner tubular of an umbrella body, the magnetic member is able to control the illumination states of the illumination member, so that the illumination member is automatically turned on while the umbrella body is opened, and the illumination member is automatically turned off while the umbrella body is closed.

Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention generally relates to an illumination device for umbrella, more particularly to an illumination member that is installed among the umbrella ribs, on the rib or on the runner tubular and can automatically activate or cut off the power while opening or closing an umbrella.

2. Description of the Prior Art

Prior umbrella is able to shield sunshine, other functions shall be mostly pointing to the aspect of shielding rain. Hence while walking in the rain or a dark place, people holding umbrellas may not be clearly visible by car drivers and motorcycle drivers, and car accident shall be happening more often, especially at night.

Umbrella with LED is thus developed. That is, LEDs are installed on the cap, shaft or handle, and manually turned on and off. The places of such LEDs as cap, shaft or handle, will affect illumination, and the illumination directions of the LEDs are only toward up and down. So that in case of having no other lighting sources, people holding umbrellas will not be clearly visible by car drivers and motorcycle drivers, and it must be seriously dangerous to those people who hold umbrellas at night; on the other hand, the prior umbrella with LED has following disadvantages as well:

1. While the umbrella is out of order, LED may also be useless.
2. User must manually turn on LED, and it still lacks convenience.
As a conclusion, the present umbrella with LED still has a long way to go for improving aforesaid disadvantages. Therefore, to provide an illumination device for umbrella that can automatically activate or cut off the power while opening or closing an umbrella and concentrate light in order to clearly show up people holding umbrellas shall be a best solution.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The main objective of the present invention is to provide an illumination device for umbrella in order to set at least one manual installing and dismantling illumination device on an umbrella.

The second objective of the present invention is to provide an illumination device for umbrella that has the functions of emitting light upwardly and emitting light downwardly, therefore the user can be clearly visible. So that the possibility of night accident can be reduced while walking in the rain.

The third objective of the present invention is to provide an illumination device for umbrella, wherein the power of the illumination device can be automatically activated or cut off while the umbrella is opened or closed.

To reach above objectives, the illumination device for umbrella comprises at least one illumination member and at least one magnetic member, wherein the illumination member has a lampshade with at least one illumination element and a lamp stand, the lamp stand has a battery, a control circuit with a sensing switch and a control switch connecting with the sensing switch, the illumination member is installed among the umbrella ribs, on the umbrella shaft or the runner tubular of the umbrella body. Through the magnetic member controlling the illumination states of the illumination member, the illumination member may be to automatically activated while the umbrella body is opened, and the illumination member may be automatically turned off while the umbrella body is closed.

Preferably, the umbrella body has a umbrella shaft having an runner tubular, a plurality of umbrella ribs integrated with the top of the umbrella shaft and radially disposed, and an umbrella fabric disposed on the scope that the umbrella ribs reach.

Preferably, the illumination member has at least one fixing base in order to stick the illumination member onto the umbrella body.

Preferably, the illumination member can be fixed by way of screw, base or other fixing methods so as to fasten the illumination member 1 onto the umbrella body.

Preferably, the control switch of the illumination member is able to switch to a state selected from the group consisting of continuous illumination state (ON), continuous dousing state (OFF) and automatic illumination state (Auto).

Preferably, the illumination element is an LED or other components capable of lighting.

Preferably, the magnetic member is installed on the rib, the umbrella shaft or the runner tubular of the umbrella body.

Preferably, the illumination member is installed on the rib, the umbrella shaft or the runner tubular of the umbrella body.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Following preferred embodiments and figures will be described in detail so as to achieve aforesaid objects.

With references to FIG. 1A, FIG. 1B, FIG. 2, FIG. 3A, and FIG. 3B, which illustrate a schematic 3D structural view of a first preferred embodiment of the illumination device for umbrella of the present invention, a schematic lateral structural view of the first preferred embodiment of the illumination device for umbrella of the present invention, a schematic control circuit view of the first preferred embodiment of the illumination device for umbrella of the present invention, and schematic application views of the first preferred embodiment of the illumination device for umbrella of the present invention. As shown in figures, the illumination device is integrated with an umbrella body 3 that has a umbrella shaft 31, umbrella ribs 32, 33 and an umbrella fabric 34 and includes: at least one illumination member 1, which has a lampshade 11 with at least one illumination element 111 and a lamp stand 12, wherein the lamp stand 12 has a battery 121, a control circuit 122 with a sensing switch 1221 and a control switch 123 connecting with the sensing switch 1221, the illumination member 1 is installed on the rib 33 (or rib 32) of the umbrella body 3, the control switch 123 is able to switch the states of illumination; and at least one set of magnetic members 2, which is installed on the rib 33 (or rib 32) the umbrella body 3 and controls the sensing switch 1221 of the illumination member 1, each of the to magnetic members 2 is a magnet.

Preferably, the umbrella body 3 has a umbrella shaft 31 having an runner tubular 311, a plurality of umbrella ribs 32, 33 integrated with the top of the umbrella shaft 31 and radially disposed, and an umbrella fabric 34 disposed on the scope that the umbrella ribs 32, 33 reach.

Preferably, the control switch 123 of the illumination member 1 is able to switch to a state selected from the group consisting of continuous illumination state (ON), continuous dousing state (OFF) and automatic illumination state (Auto).

Preferably, the illumination element 111 is an LED or other components capable of lighting.

Preferably, the illumination member 1 can be fixed by way of screw, base or other fixing methods so as to fasten the illumination member 1 onto the rib 33 (or rib 32).

Preferably, the illumination member 1 has at least one fixing base 124 in order to stick the illumination member 1 onto the umbrella body 3.

Preferably, the sensing switch 1221 of the illumination member 1 normally keeps on a close state, so that the sensing switch 1221 may let the control circuit 122 be in an open state while the magnetic members 2 are adjacent to the illumination member 1, and thus the illumination member 1 is turned off. (the magnetic members 2 are to control the sensing switch 1221 of the illumination member 1)

Preferably, the battery 121 of the illumination member 1 is a one-time battery or a rechargeable battery.

For the preferred embodiment, through the control switch 123, the illumination member 1 is able to switch to the continuous illumination state (ON), the continuous dousing state (OFF) or the automatic illumination state (auto). Such that the illumination member 1 keeps lighting while a user manually switch the control switch 123 to the continuous illumination state (ON); on the other hand, the illumination member 1 keeps off-lighting while the user manually switch the control switch 123 to the continuous dousing state (OFF); and while the user manually switch the control switch 123 to the automatic illumination state (auto), the illumination member 1 with the sensing switch 1221 is gradually away from the magnetic members 2 if the umbrella body 3 is opened, the magnetic members 2 may activate the sensing switch 1221 of the control circuit 122 to start the illumination element 111 of the illumination member 1, as shown in FIG. 3A. If the umbrella body 3 is closed, the illumination member 1 with the sensing switch 1221 is gradually adjacent to the magnetic members 2 so as to cut off the sensing switch 1221 of the control circuit 122, hence the power from the battery 121 of the illumination member 1 is cut off as well, and the illumination element 111 of the illumination member 1 is turned off, as shown in FIG. 3B.

With references to FIG. 2, FIG. 4A and FIG. 4B, which illustrate a schematic control circuit view of the illumination device for umbrella of the present invention and schematic application views of a second preferred embodiment of the illumination device to for umbrella of the present invention. Compared to the first preferred embodiment, the difference is that the illumination member 1 can be installed on the runner tubular 311 of the umbrella shaft 31 of the umbrella body 3. The sensing switch 1221 of the illumination member 1 normally keeps on an open state. While the magnetic members 2 are adjacent to the illumination member 1, the sensing switch 1221 controls the control circuit 122 for conduction in order to turn on the illumination member 1. (the magnetic members 2 are to control the sensing switch 1221 of the illumination member 1)

For the second preferred embodiment, through the control switch 123, the illumination member 1 is able to switch to the continuous illumination state (ON), the continuous dousing state (OFF) or the automatic illumination state (auto). Such that the illumination member 1 keeps lighting while a user manually switch the control switch 123 to the continuous illumination state (ON); on the other hand, the illumination member 1 keeps off-lighting while the user manually switch the control switch 123 to the continuous dousing state (OFF); and while the user manually switch the control switch 123 to the automatic illumination state (auto), the illumination member 1 with the sensing switch 1221 is gradually adjacent to the magnetic members 2 if the umbrella body 3 is opened, the magnetic members 2 may activate the sensing switch 1221 of the control circuit 122 to start the illumination element 111 of the illumination member 1, as shown in FIG. 4A. If the umbrella body 3 is closed, the illumination member 1 with the sensing switch 1221 is gradually away from the magnetic members 2 so as to cut off the sensing switch 1221 of the control circuit 122, hence the power from the battery 121 of the illumination member 1 is cut off as well, and the illumination element 111 of the illumination member 1 is turned off, as shown in FIG. 4B.

Further, as shown in FIG. 5A and FIG. 5B, the runner tubular 311 is disposed at least one fixing latch base 41, so that the fixing base 124 of the illumination member 1 is able to insert into the integrated fixing latch base 41 of the runner tubular 311 so as to firmly attach the illumination member 1 onto the runner tubular 311.

As shown in FIG. 6, the runner tubular 311 is disposed at least one saddle-type movable latch base 42, so that the illumination member 1 can be mount on the saddle-type movable latch base 42, thus the illumination member 1 is firmly fastened on the runner tubular 311. Further, the illumination member 1 has a solar panel 13 for collecting solar energy.

As shown in FIG. 7A and FIG. 7B, the runner tubular 311 is disposed at least one movable latch base 432. The movable latch base 432 can be fixed on the runner tubular 311 via a soft or hard fixing member. As an example, at least one cable tie 431 is to firmly fasten the movable latch base 432 onto the runner tubular 311, thus a socket-type movable latch base is formed for convenient fastening.

As shown in FIG. 8, the runner tubular 311 is disposed at least one elastic band 44 that is able to firmly attach the illumination member 1 on the runner tubular 311; the elastic band 44 can be replaced by Velcro as well.

As shown in FIG. 9, FIG. 10A and FIG. 10B, which illustrate a schematic 3D structural view of a third preferred embodiment of the illumination device for umbrella of the present invention and schematic application views of the third preferred embodiment of the illumination device for umbrella of the present invention. The illumination device is integrated with an umbrella body 3 that has a umbrella shaft 31 having an runner tubular 311, umbrella ribs 32, 33, and an umbrella fabric 34, and includes: at least one illumination member 5, which has a lampshade 51 with at least one illumination element 511, a lamp stand 52 and a clasp 53 installed on the surface of the lamp stand 52, wherein the lamp stand 52 has a battery and a control circuit with a control switch, the clasp 53 of the illumination member 5 can be fastened on the runner tubular 311 of the umbrella shaft 31 of the umbrella body 3; and at least one set of wire-hang device 6, which has a fixing structure 61 and a collapsible wire-hang structure 62 with a wire 621, the fixing structure 61 is extendable to connect with the holding portion 35 of the umbrella body 3.

Preferably, the umbrella body 3 has a umbrella shaft 31 having an runner tubular 311, a plurality of umbrella ribs 32, 33 integrated with the top of the umbrella shaft 31 and radially disposed, and an umbrella fabric 34 disposed on the scope that the umbrella ribs 32, 33 reach.

Preferably, the illumination element 511 is an LED or other components capable of lighting.

Preferably, the lamp stand 52 of the illumination to member 5 has at least one fixing hole 521, so that the fixing hole 521 is connected with the clasp 53.

Preferably, the battery of the illumination member 5 is a one-time battery or a rechargeable battery.

Preferably, the wire 621 of the wire-hang structure 62 is an inelastic wire with a certain length.

Preferably, the wire 621 of the wire-hang structure 62 is a flexible wire.

Preferably, the wire 621 of the wire-hang structure 62 is a collapsible wire in order to control the length thereof.

For the preferred embodiment, while the umbrella body 3 is opened, the user is able to hang the one end of the illumination member 5 on the runner tubular 311 of the umbrella shaft 31 of the umbrella body 3, as shown in FIG. 10A; while the umbrella body 3 is closed, the clasp 53 of the illumination member 5 may quickly bounce away and drop downwardly, the user then manually turns off the illumination member 5 in order to shut down the illumination element 511 of the illumination member 5, as shown in FIG. 10B.

As shown in FIG. 11, FIG. 12A and FIG. 12B, which illustrate a schematic 3D structural view of a fourth preferred embodiment of the illumination device for umbrella of the present invention and schematic application views of the fourth preferred embodiment of the illumination device for umbrella of the present invention. The illumination device is integrated with an umbrella body 3 that has a umbrella shaft 31 having an runner tubular 311, umbrella ribs 32, 33, an umbrella fabric 34, and a holding portion 35, as shown in figures, the illumination device includes: at least one illumination member 7, which has a lampshade 71 with at least one illumination element 711 and a lamp stand 72, wherein the lamp stand 72 has a battery, a control circuit with a control switch and a pressing switch 721 connecting with the control switch, wherein the pressing switch 721 is to control the illumination states of the illumination member 7; and at least one magnetic connecting device 8, which has a separate magnetic structure 81 and a clasp 82, wherein the separate magnetic structure 81 is able to be separated into a first magnet 811 and a second magnet 812, the first magnet 811 is extendable to connect with the clasp 82, the clasp 82 is fastened on the holding portion 35 of the umbrella body 3, the second magnet 812 is extendable to connect with the lamp stand 72 of the illumination member 7.

While the umbrella body 3 is opened, the user firstly presses the pressing switch 721 in order to conduct the control switch of the control circuit for turning on the illumination element 711 of the illumination member 7. Continuously, the user is able to separate the first magnet 811 and the second magnet 812 that are connected with the illumination member 7. The first magnet 811 is therefore attached onto the rib 33 (or rib 32) of the umbrella body 3, as shown in FIG. 12A.

Further, while the umbrella body 3 is closed, the user presses the pressing switch 721 again in order to shut down the illumination element 711 of the illumination member 7. The first magnet 811 is thus taken off from the rib 33 (or rib 32). The first magnet 811 and the second magnet 812 are integrated in order to hang the illumination member 7 on the holding portion 35 of the umbrella body 7, as shown in FIG. 12B. Due to that the pressing switch 721 is able to cut off the circuit, the power for the illumination member 7 is therefore shut off the illumination element 711.

Preferably, the umbrella body 3 has a umbrella shaft 31 having an runner tubular 311, a plurality of umbrella ribs 32, 33 integrated with the top of the umbrella shaft 31 and radially disposed, and an umbrella fabric 34 disposed on the scope that the umbrella ribs 32, 33 reach.

Preferably, the illumination element 711 is an LED or other components capable of lighting.

Preferably, the illumination member 7 has at least one fixing hole 722 in order to let the second magnet 812 fasten the illumination member 7.

Preferably, the illumination member 7 is able to directly attach onto the rib 33 (or rib 32), the umbrella shaft 31 and the runner tubular 311 by way of connecting with the second magnet 812.

Preferably, the battery of the illumination member 5 is a one-time battery or a rechargeable battery.

As shown in FIG. 13A and FIG. 13B, the back of the illumination member 7 can be added a magnetic element 73, the runner tubular 311 has another magnetic element 3111 also, thus to the user can directly contact the magnetic element 73 of the illumination member 7 with the magnetic element 3111 of the runner tubular 311, so that the illumination member 7 can be firmly fastened on the runner tubular 3111.

Compared to other prior arts, the present invention has following advantages:

  • 1. The present invention is capable of setting at least one manual installing and dismantling illumination device among the umbrella ribs, on the ribs or on the runner tubular of the umbrella body. Hence, the user can conveniently and easily install the illumination device on different types of umbrellas, such as straight umbrella, collapsible umbrella or automatically open and close umbrella.
  • 2. The present invention provides the functions of emitting light upwardly and emitting light downwardly. Therefore, the user can be clearly visible for night car drivers while there is no light around the user at night. So that the possibility of car accident can be reduced; on the other hand, if the umbrella is with light color, the effect is even better.
  • 3. The power of the present invention can be automatically activated or cut off while the umbrella is opened or closed.

Although the invention has been disclosed and illustrated with reference to particular embodiments, the principles involved are susceptible for use in numerous other embodiments that will be apparent to persons skilled in the art. This invention is, therefore, to be limited only as indicated by the scope of the to appended claims

Claims

1. An illumination device for umbrella, wherein the illumination device is integrated with an umbrella body 3 that has an umbrella shaft 31 having a runner tubular 311, umbrella ribs 32, 33 and an umbrella fabric 34, comprising:

at least one illumination member 1, having a lampshade 11 with at least one illumination element 111 and a lamp stand 12, wherein the lamp stand 12 has a battery 121, a control circuit 122 with a sensing switch 1221 and a control switch 123 connecting with the sensing switch 1221, the illumination member 1 being installed in the umbrella body 3; and
at least one set of magnetic members 2, being installed in the umbrella body 3 and controlling the sensing switch 1221 of the illumination member 1.

2. The illumination device for umbrella according to claim 1, wherein the illumination member 1 and the magnetic members 2 are installed on the umbrella ribs 32, 33, the umbrella shaft 31 and the runner tubular 311 of the umbrella body 3.

3. The illumination device for umbrella according to claim 1, wherein the control switch 123 of the illumination member 1 is able to switch to a state selected from the group consisting of continuous illumination state, continuous dousing state and automatic illumination state.

4. The illumination device for umbrella according to claim 1, wherein the sensing switch 1221 of the illumination member 1 is a magnetic reed switch or another switching component that normally keeps on a state selected from the group consisting of:

close state and open state.

5. The illumination device for umbrella according to claim 1, wherein the runner tubular 311 is disposed at least one fixing latch base 41, the fixing latch base 41 being integrated with the runner tubular 311.

6. The illumination device for umbrella according to claim 1, wherein the runner tubular 311 is disposed at least one movable latch base 42, the movable latch base 42 being fixed on the runner tubular 311 through a soft or hard fastener.

7. The illumination device for umbrella according to claim 1, wherein the battery 121 of the illumination member 1 is a one-time battery or a rechargeable battery.

8. An illumination device for umbrella, wherein the illumination device is integrated with an umbrella body 3 that has an umbrella shaft 31 having a runner tubular 311, umbrella ribs 32, 33, an umbrella fabric 34, and a holding portion 35, comprising:

at least one illumination member 7, having a lampshade 71 with at least one illumination element 711 and a lamp stand 72, wherein the lamp stand 72 has a battery, a control circuit with a control switch and a pressing switch 721 connecting with the control switch; and
at least one magnetic connecting device 8, comprising a separate magnetic structure 81 and a clasp 82, wherein the separate magnetic structure 81 is able to be separated into a first magnet 811 and a second magnet 812, the first magnet 811 being extendable to connect with the clasp 82, the second magnet 812 being extendable to connect with the lamp stand 72 of the illumination member 7.

9. The illumination device for umbrella according to claim 8, wherein the illumination member 7, through the second magnet 812 that the illumination member 7 is connected with or a magnetic component on the back of the illumination member 7, is directly attached to the umbrella ribs 32, 33, the umbrella shaft 31 and the runner tubular 311.

The illumination device for umbrella according to claim 8, wherein the umbrella body 3 is connected with a set of wire-hang device, the wire-hang device having a fixing structure 61 and a collapsible wire-hang structure 62 with a wire 621, the fixing structure 61 being extendable to connect with the holding portion 35 of the umbrella body 3.
