Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a seal cap, and more particularly to a seal cap which can be coupled to the opening of a container in an airtight way.

2. Description of the Prior Art

An airtight container is used to contain tea leaves, coffee beans or the like, preventing the food from humidifying. The airtight container can block air from entering the container so as to provide moistureproof and oxidizationproof effects.

As shown in FIG. 8, a conventional airtight container comprises a container body 80 and a seal cap 81 coupled to the top of the container body 80. The seal cap 81 has an air hole 811 at a top portion thereof. A oneway valve 82 is coupled to the air hole 811. The oneway valve 82 has a press button 821 and a spring 822 to push the spring 822 outward. The press button 821 can be pressed inward to open a seal member 823 in the air hole 811. However, the manufacture cost of the oneway valve 82 is high and the assembly is complicated. Accordingly, the inventor of the present invention has devoted himself based on his many years of practical experiences to solve this problem.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In order to solve the aforesaid problem, the primary object of the present invention is to provide a seal cap which is costeffective and convenient for assembly.

According to the present invention, there is provided a seal cap comprising a main body, a retaining cover, and a fastening member. The main body has a slab shape and is flexible. The main body comprises a press collar and an engaging portion. The press collar extends upward from the main body. The engaging portion is disposed around the main body. The engaging portion encircles the press collar. The press collar has a connecting portion therein. The retaining cover covers the main body. The retaining cover comprises an annular inner wall, an outer covering body, a trough and a coupling portion. The outer covering body covers the annular inner wall. The outer covering body has at least one press opening. The trough is formed between the outer covering body and the annular inner wall, and faces downward. The trough communicates with the at least one press opening. The press collar is inserted in the trough. The coupling portion encircles the outer covering body and is located above the engaging portion. The fastening ring is located at an outer side of the connecting portion of the main body, so that the connecting portion is tightly connected to the annular inner wall of the retaining cover.

Preferably, the engaging portion has a circumferential wall which extends upward from an outer side of the engaging portion.

Preferably, the press collar and the engaging portion are in an annular shape, and the press collar has a Ushaped crosssection.

Preferably, the main body is a plastic slab.

Preferably, the retaining cover further comprises two press members. The outer covering body has two press openings at two opposing sides thereof. The two press members are disposed at the two press openings and rotatably connected to the outer covering body. The two press members lean against the press collar.

Preferably, the coupling portion has an annular engaging opening at a bottom of an outer periphery of the coupling portion.

When in use, the seal cap of the present invention is coupled to the opening of a container. The top of the container is inserted in the engaging opening to lean against the coupling portion, and the circumferential wall is against the container to seal the container. When the user wants to release the seal state, he/she just presses the press collar which is exposed out of the two press openings inward to create a gap between the circumferential wall and the container. After that, the seal cap of the present invention can be taken out. The manufacture cost of the present invention is low and there is no need for assembly, so the present invention is costeffective.

In conjunction with the two press member, when the user wants to release the seal state, he/she just presses the two press members inward to squeeze the press collar so as to create a gap between the circumferential wall and the container. After that, the seal cap of the present invention can be taken out.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

Embodiments of the present invention will now be described, by way of example only, with reference to the accompanying drawings.

As shown in FIG. 1 through FIG. 4, the seal cap according to a first embodiment of the present invention comprises a main body 10, a retaining cover 20, and a fastening ring 30.

As shown in FIG. 1, FIG. 2 and FIG. 4, the main body 10 has a slab shape and is a flexible plastic slab. The main body 10 comprises a press collar 11 and an engaging portion 12. The press collar 11 extends upward from the main body 10. The press collar 11 is in an annular shape and has a Ushaped crosssection. The engaging portion 12 is disposed around the main body 10. The engaging portion 12 encircles the press collar 11 and is an annular shape. The engaging portion 12 has a circumferential wall 121 which extends upward from an outer side of the engaging portion 12. The press collar 11 has a connecting portion 13 therein.

The retaining cover 20 is disposed on the main body 10 to cover the main body 10. The retaining cover 20 comprises an annular inner wall 21, an outer covering body 22, a trough 23 and a coupling portion 24. The outer covering body 22 covers the annular inner wall 21. The outer covering body 22 has two press openings 221 at two opposing sides thereof. The trough 23 is formed between the outer covering body 22 and the annular inner wall 21 and faces downward. The trough 23 communicates with the two press opening 221. The press collar 11 is inserted in the trough 23 and attached to the retaining cover 20. The coupling portion 24 encircles the outer covering body 22 and is located above the engaging portion 12. The coupling portion 24 has an annular engaging opening 241 at a bottom of an outer periphery of the coupling portion 24.

The fastening ring 30 is located at an outer side of the connecting portion 13 of the main body 10, so that the connecting portion 13 is tightly connected to the annular inner wall 21 of the retaining cover 20.

As shown in FIG. 3, when in use, the seal cap of the present invention is coupled to the opening of a container 40. The top of the container 40 is inserted in the engaging opening 241 to lean against the coupling portion 24, and the circumferential wall 121 is against the container 40 to seal the container 40. When the user wants to release the seal state, he/she just presses the press collar 11 which is exposed out of the two press openings (221) inward to create a gap between the circumferential wall 121 and the container 40. After that, the seal cap of the present invention can be taken out. The manufacture cost of the present invention is low and there is no need for assembly, so the present invention is costeffective.

FIG. 5 through FIG. 7 show a second embodiment of the present invention, which is substantially similar to the first embodiment with the exceptions descried hereinafter. The retaining cover 20 further comprises two press members 25 which are disposed at the two press openings 221 and are rotatably connected to the outer covering body 22. The two press members 25 leans against the press collar 11.

When the user wants to release the seal state, he/she just presses the two press members 25 inward to squeeze the press collar 11 so as to create a gap between the circumferential wall 121 and the container 40. After that, the seal cap of the present invention can be taken out.

Although particular embodiments of the present invention have been described in detail for purposes of illustration, various modifications and enhancements may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention. Accordingly, the present invention is not to be limited except as by the appended claims.
