DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Targeted delivery of personal care products is important in reducing the incidence of unwanted effects and maximizing the effectiveness of the product being delivered. In particular, female sexual enhancement products benefit from application specifically to the clitoris while avoiding exposure of the users hands and fingers or other parts of the female anatomy.

The term “personal care product” as used herein refers to products for personal use such as sunscreens, toothpastes, shampoos, moisturizer, lipsticks, fragrances, lubricants, or makeup.

In some embodiments, a targeted delivery system allows the user to specifically dispense a personal care product at the desired site without contacting the product with ones fingers or hands. In yet other embodiments, the personal care product is inserted into a recessed chamber that is in turn covered with a protective cover that is removed by the user immediately prior to use and serves to prevent contamination of the product and maintain its integrity over time. In some embodiments the recessed chamber is constructed in a such a ways that by applying slight pressure on the underside of the top member, the recessed chamber is inversed, delivering the contents to the desired target site.

Some embodiments, as shown in FIG. 1, are directed to a targeted delivery system for personal care products allowing for delivery of a personal care product to a specific site comprising: a top member having a longitudinal central axis having at one extremity one or more recessed chambers, a bottom member having a longitudinal central axis attached to the top member along the edges of said top and bottom members creating a cylinder that can be inserted onto the finger of the user permitting targeted application of a personal care product to a specific site.

In some embodiments, the targeted delivery, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, further comprises a removable adhesive protective cover placed over said recessed chambers. In some embodiments the protective cover is made from aluminum foil. In other embodiments, the protective cover comprises a material that protects the contents of the recessed chambers from sunlight, moisture, bacteria or other contaminants. In some embodiments the protective cover is comprised of a covering section, adhered to the outer perimeter of one or more recessed chambers, and a tag used for removing the protective cover from the delivery system.

In some embodiments, the targeted delivery system comprises a single recessed chamber. In some embodiments, the targeted delivery system comprises one or more recessed chambers. In further embodiments, multiple recessed chambers are located adjacent to one another such that the contents of the recessed chambers is dispensed to the desired target site and simultaneously mixed upon delivery. In some embodiments the recessed chambers can be loaded with a personal care product. In some embodiments, the contents of a recessed chamber is a gel, liquid, suspension, cream, or wax. In a preferred embodiment, a recessed chamber is loaded with a female sexual enhancement gel.

In some embodiments a recessed chamber is formed from the same material as the top member. In some embodiments, a recessed chamber is formed from a separate material and inserted into a suitably shaped space in the top member. In some embodiments, the recessed chamber is capable of inversion so as to push out the contents of the chamber prior to application.

In some embodiments, the top and bottom members are made from hypoallergenic materials. “Hypoallergenic” as used herein refers to a material that produces fewer allergic reactions compared with other materials. In some embodiments, the top and bottom members are made from plastic, silicone or latex. In some embodiments, the top and bottom members are made from a paper product.

In some embodiments the top and bottom members are additionally attached on the extremity containing the recessed chambers. The top and bottom members of the delivery device can be attached along their edges to create a cone shape that allows the user to insert a finger into the device as shown in FIG. 1 and apply the personal care product to the desired target site. In some embodiments only the longitudinal sides of the top and bottom members are attached to form a cone into which the used may insert a finger and apply the contents of the recessed chamber to the desired target site.

In some embodiments the cylinder conforms to an adult finger. In some embodiments, the cone conforms to an adult finger. In some embodiments the top and bottom members are sufficiently pliable to allow for dexterior control.

A preferred embodiment is a targeted delivery system for personal care products allowing for delivery of a personal care product to the clitoris, comprising: a top member having a longitudinal central axis having at one extremity one or more recessed chambers, a bottom member having a longitudinal central axis attached to the top member along the edges of said top and bottom members creating a cylinder that can be inserted onto the finger of the user permitting targeted application of a personal care product to the clitoris without contacting other parts of the anatomy.

Some embodiments further comprise a removable adhesive protective cover placed over said recessed chambers. In some embodiments, the recessed chambers can be loaded with a personal care product. In some embodiments, the top and bottom members are made from hypoallergenic materials. In some embodiments, the top and bottom members are additionally attached on the extremity containing the recessed chambers. In some embodiments, the cylinder conforms to an adult finger.

EXAMPLES Example 1 Application of Female Sexual Enhancement Cream Using a Targeted Delivery System

A targeted delivery system is preloaded with a female sexual enhancement cream and a protective cover made from aluminum is adhered to the contour of the recessed chamber and additionally comprising a tab element allowing the used to peel off the protective cover to reveal the recessed chamber. The delivery system is configured in such a way that the user inserts a finger into opening of the device, the other edges of the top and bottom members being attached to form a cone shape. The user peels off the aluminum protective cover and places the recessed chamber containing the cream on the surface of the clitoris. By applying slight pressure on the underside of the top member, the recessed chamber is inversed, delivering the cream to the clitoris without contact with any other anatomical part of the user.

Accordingly, the targeted delivery system for personal care products of the present invention is simplified, provides an effective, safe, inexpensive and efficient structure and method which achieves all the enumerated objectives, provides for eliminating difficulties encountered with prior art delivery systems, and solves problems and obtains new results in the art.

In the foregoing description, certain terms have been used for brevity, clearness and understanding; but no unnecessary limitations are to be implied therefrom beyond the requirements of the prior art, because such terms are used for descriptive purposes and are intended to be broadly construed.

Moreover, the description and illustration of the invention is by way of example, and the scope of the invention is not limited to the exact details shown or described.

Having now described the features, discoveries and principles of the invention, the manner in which the targeted delivery system for personal care products of the present invention is used and installed, the characteristics of the construction, arrangement and method steps, and the advantageous, new and useful results obtained; the new and useful structures, devices, elements, arrangements, process, parts and combinations are set forth in the appended claims.
