FIG. 6 is a table exemplifying a rule for settling accounts for the bet of the second card game (blackjack game).

FIG. 7 is a plan view illustrating a card game appliance used to perform the card game method according to one embodiment of the present invention.

The card game method according to one embodiment of the present invention causes at least one player and a dealer to bet therebetween while performing first and second card games at the same time.

It is assumed herein that the first card game is a war game determining win and loss according to the rank of card and the second card game is a blackjack game. The first or second card game may be any one of various other card games.

As shown in FIG. 1, the card game method receives a first bet from the player for participation in the first card game (Step S1). In this regard, the participation of the player to the first card game may be voluntary or obligatory. Non-perticipation means that no first betting is performed.

It is further assumed that the first bet must be smaller than a second bet which will be described later.

Subsequently, the card game method receives a second bet from the player for participation in the second card game (Step S2).

Subsequently, first cards are distributed to the player and the dealer, respectively (Step S3).

If a plurality of player participate in the card games, card will be distributed to the players clockwise.

The first cards distributed to the at least one player and dealer are used to perform the first card game, to determine win or loss and to settle accounts based on the first bet (Step S4).

In the first card game, win and loss are determined depending on such ranks of cards as shown in FIG. 2.

More particularly, A represents the highest rank, K, Q . . . 4 and 3, representing the middle subsequent ranks and 2 representing the lowest rank. For example, if the card of the player is J while the card of the dealer is 9, the player will win against the dealer. If the card of the player is 5 while the card of the dealer is 6, the dealer will win against the player. If the number of the card of the dealer is same as that of the player, the game will be drawn.

However, the suit of cards will not influence the win or loss.

The contents of the settlement for the first card game may be formed as shown in the table of FIG. 3, for example.

More particularly, if the player wins against the dealer, the same chip as that of the bet will be paid. If the dealer wins against the player, the betted chip will be withdrawn by the dealer. If the player draws the game ties with the dealer, the first bet will be added to the second bet.

Subsequently, second cards are distributed to the player and the dealer, respectively (Step S5).

Since the second card distributed to the dealer is a hole card, it is distributed (or disclosed) showing the back thereof.

All the cards including the first and second cards are used to perform the second card game, to determine win and loss and to settle accounts based on the second bet (Step S6).

The second card game (blackjack game) is one that at least one player competes with a dealer through their hand.

After two cards have been distributed (or displayed) to the respective one of the players and dealer, each of the players can request to display third and subsequent cards as necessary (Hit). In response to the request, the third and subsequent cards are distributed to that player showing the faces thereof until the player judges that the total number of the distributed cards may reach 21 or a value closer to 21 (Display & Disclose).

The hand of the player is fixed determines when the player stops to request the distribution of card (Stay).

If the hand of the player has been determined, the back of the cards distributed to the dealer is reversed to show the face thereof (Display). And then, the total score of two cards of the dealer is calculated.

Here, the score of the cards is counted using the numbers shown in the table of FIG. 4 in dependence on the rank of each card.

More particularly, the card of “A (Ace)” is counted for “1” or “11”. The cards of “2”-“9” are directly counted for “2”-“9”. All the cards of “10”, “J” (Jack), “Q” (Queen) and “K (King)” are counted for “10”.

The score of the dealer or player is equal to the total number of the distributed cards.

If the score of the dealer so calculated is equal to or less than 16, this corresponds to “Hit” shown in the hit/stay chart of FIG. 5. One card is distributed to the dealer showing the face thereof (Display&Disclose). If the score of the dealer is equal to or more than 17, this corresponds to “Stay” shown in the hit/stay chart of FIG. 5. Therefore, the hand of the dealer is determined.

If the hands of the dealer and player are determined in such a manner, win or loss is determined according to the scores of card of the dealer and player. And then, the settlement for the second bet is performed depending on the determined win or loss. On settlement, the scores of the dealer and player are first calculated depending on their cards. Win or loss is determined for this game depending on the calculated scores of the dealer and player.

More particularly, if the dealer or player has a score closer to “21” (or equal to “21”), the dealer or player will win against the player or dealer.

If the score of the dealer is equal to that of the player, the game will be drawn (tied).

If the player wins, the content of the settlement to the player's bet is determined.

The contents of settlement on the second card game may be formed, for example, as shown in the table of FIG. 6.

More particularly, if a player wins by a blackjack (a combination of “A (Ace)” and “10”, “J (Jack)”, “Q (Queen) or “K (King)”), a chip equal to 1.5 times of the betted chip is given. If the player wins by any hand other than the blackjack, the chip equal to the betted chip is given to the player. If the dealer wins, the betted chip is withdrawn by the dealer. If the game is tied, the betted chip is returned back to the player.

The described content of settlement to the bet of the player in the second card game may be established in local rule for every casino.

The card game according to one embodiment of the present invention may be practiced, for example, by such a card game appliance as shown in FIG. 7.

As shown in FIG. 7, the card game appliance 1 comprises a set of cards and a table on which first and second card games are practiced using the cards, wherein the top face of the table displays first circular betting spaces 2a each for receiving a first bet from a player and second circular betting spaces 2b each for receiving a second bet from a player.

The second betting space 2b is larger than the first betting space 2a.

FIG. 8 is a block diagram illustrating a card game device which can perform a card game according to one embodiment of the present invention.

This card game device 3 comprises a display 4 for displaying a game scene being developed by the first and second card games; a bet input section 5 for betting through the operation of an operator on the player side; and a control section 6 for controlling the display 4 for developing each of the first and second card games thereon.

The bet input section 5 may be a touch panel on the display 4.

The control section 6 is configured to execute the following processes:

receiving a first bet from the player for participation in the first card game;

receiving a second bet from the player for participation in the second card game;

distributing first cards to the player and the dealer, respectively;

using the first cards distributed to the player and dealer to execute the first card game, determining win and loss and settling an account based on the first bet;

distributing second or subsequent card to the player and the dealer, respectively; and

using all of the cards distributed to the player and the dealer to execute the second card game, determining win and loss and settling an account based on the second bet.

FIG. 9 is a block diagram illustrating a card game system for performing a card game according to one embodiment of the present invention.

The card game system 7 comprises a plurality of card game devices 3 and a server 9 connected to each of the card game devices 3 through a communication line 8.

Each card game device 3 and server 9 can transmit and receive various data through the communication line 8. The server 9 controls the card game devices 3 so that a plurality of players can participate in first and second card games.

More particularly, the server 9 can transmit and receive data and information between each card game device 3 through the communication line 8 such that the above-described processes are batch-performed in place of each card game device 3. As a result, a plurality of players can participate in the first and second card games. For example, the communication line 8 may be a communications network such as Internet (Data Transfer Network by TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol)) or LAN (Local Area Network).

FIG. 10 is a block diagram illustrating a program used to perform a card game according to one embodiment of the present invention.

This program 10 is designed to cause the control section 6 to execute the above-mentioned processes in each of the card game devices 3 according to one embodiment of the present invention. This program 10 may be stored in a recording media such as magnetic disk, CD-ROM or semiconductor memory and may be downloaded through a communication network.

In accordance with the present invention, both the two types of games performed at the same time are of “competition type” between the dealer and the player. As a result, fun for the visitor side can be improved to increase the number of users, resulting in improvement of the profit on the shop side.

Since the account in the first card game is settled in the middle of the second card game, the settlement of accounts can be performed smoothly without delaying the progress of the second card game.

The present invention is not limited to the above-mentioned embodiments, but can be carried out in any one of various other forms without departing from the range of technical ideas described in the following claims. For example, the card game devices 3 may be in the form of a personal computer, a mobile phone, a smartphone or an information terminal equipment rather than an exclusive device.
