DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The technical contents of the present invention are described in detail with embodiments below.

Refer to FIG. 1 and FIG. 2 respectively a front perspective view and a rear perspective view of a variable-thickness display device according to one embodiment of the present invention. The present invention proposes a variable-thickness display device, which is installed in a unique frame, and which comprises a display panel 11, a back plate 12 and a telescopic connection member 13 arranged between the display panel 11 and the back plate 12. The display panel 11 has a frame 111 and a screen 112. The back plate 12 is a rectangular-like body and has an opening 121 and holes 122 for accommodating connection ports. The back plate 12 also has a plurality of fastening elements 123, which are pivotally installed in the back plate 12 and can be rotated to different positions.

As shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, the area of the display panel 11 is larger than the back plate 12. In one embodiment, both the display panel 11 and the back plate 12 have a rectangular shape. The length of the display panel 11 is longer than that of the back plate 12, and the width of the display panel 11 is also wider than the back plate 12. Thereby, the display device 10 has a trapezoid shape, which has a larger dimension in the front and a smaller dimension in the back and able to prevent the display device 10 from being installed in a wrong orientation.

The telescopic connection member 13, which is arranged between the display panel 11 and the back plate 12. The telescopic connection member 13 has a first end member 131 connecting with the display panel 11 and a second end member 132 connecting with the back plate 12. The telescopic connection member 13 is a contractible flexible pipe that can be extended or contracted to vary the length thereof. The telescopic connection member 13 is extended or contracted to vary the distance between the display panel 11 and the back plate 12. In one embodiment, the telescopic connection member 13 is made of an elastic material. In one embodiment, the telescopic connection member 13 is a contractible hose, such as a bellow.

Refer to FIG. 3. In one embodiment, one or several telescopic pipes 14 are arranged between the display panel 11 and the back plate 12 to enhance the connection strength between the display panel 11 and the back plate 12 and guarantee the parallelism of the display panel 11 and the back plate 12. The telescopic pipe 14 is formed of several tubes, wherein one tube sleeves another one sequentially. The telescopic pipe 14 has a first connecting end 144 connecting with the display panel 11 and a second connecting end 145 connecting with the back plate 12. In one embodiment, the telescopic pipes 14 are arranged inside the telescopic connection member 13 to stabilize the relative position of the display panel 11 and the back plate 12.

Refer to FIG. 4. The telescopic pipe 14 includes an external tube 141, a first tube 142 and a second tube 143. The external tube 141 has a first accommodation room 1411. One end of the external tube 1411 is sealed, and the other end is opened and has a stop member 1412 concaved and slightly smaller than first accommodation room 1411. The first tube 142 has a second accommodation room 1421. One end of the first tube 142 has a stop member 1422 concaved and slightly smaller than the second accommodation room 1421. The other end of the first tube 142 has a block member 1423 protruding from the first tube 142. One end of the second tube 143 is sealed, and the other end of the second tube 143 has a block member 1431 protruding from the second tube 143.

The second tube 143 is inserted into the second accommodation room 1421 of the first tube 142 and able to slide inside the second accommodation room 1421 of the second tube 142. When the second tube 143 completely extends out from the second accommodation room 1421, the stop member 1422 stops the block member 1431 of the second tube 143 lest the second tube 143 drop off. The first tube 142 is inserted into the first accommodation room 1411 of the external tube 141 and able to slide inside the first accommodation room 1411 of the external tube 141. When the first tube 142 completely extends out from the external tube 141, the stop member 1412 stops the block member 1423 of the first tube 142 stops the first tube 142 from dismantlement. In the telescopic pipe 14, the external tube 141, the first tube 142 and the second tube 143 are connected in a sleeve manner and slid to adjust the length of the telescopic pipe 14.

Refer to FIG. 5A and FIG. 5B. FIG. 5A is a top view showing that the display device 10 is extended and installed in a unique frame 15. FIG. 5B is a top view showing that the display device 10 is compressed and installed in a thinner unique frame 15. The telescopic connection member 13 can be extended or contracted to enable the display device 10 to have different thicknesses adaptive to different dimensions of unique frames 15. As shown in FIG. 5A and FIG. 5B, the unique frame 15 has a larger front opening 151 and a smaller rear opening 152 to match the trapeziform display device 10 larger in the front and smaller in the rear. To install the display device 10 in the unique frame 15. Firstly, move the back plate 12 of the display device 10 from the front opening 151 of the unique frame 15 into the interior of the unique frame 15 and press the display panel 11 against the front opening 151. Next, rotate the fastening elements 123 of the back plate 12 to the lock position to lock against the external wall of the rear opening 152. Thus is completed the installation of the display device 10 into the unique frame 15.

As shown in FIG. 5A and FIG. 5B, the telescopic connection member 13 can be extended or contracted to enable the display device 10 to have different thicknesses adaptive to different dimensions of unique frames 15. In conclusion, the present invention proposes a variable-thickness display device, wherein the display device can be adjusted to have different thicknesses adaptive to various dimensions of unique frames without any structural variation. Further, the display device 10 is designed to have a larger front and a smaller back to prevent the display device 10 from being installed in a wrong orientation.

The embodiments described above are only to exemplify the present invention but not to limit the scope of the present invention. Any equivalent modification or variation according to the spirit of the present invention is to be also included within the scope of the present invention.
