DETAILED DESCRIPTION

The disclosure is illustrated by way of example and not by way of limitation in the figures of the accompanying drawings in which like references indicate similar elements. It should be noted that references to “an” or “one” embodiment in this disclosure are not necessarily to the same embodiment, and such references mean at least one.

FIG. 8 illustrates an air vent of an embodiment. The air vent comprises a chassis 70 and a plurality of louvers 40. The chassis 70 comprises a bottom plate 100 and a side plate 50 located on the bottom plate 100. The plurality of louvers 40 is located on the side plate 50.

FIGS. 1 and 2 show that each of the plurality of louvers 40 comprises a body 47 and a shaft 46 located on the body 47. The body 47 of each of the plurality of louvers 40 is rotatable about the shaft 46 of each of the plurality of louvers 40 relative to the side plate 50. FIG. 8 shows that the bottom plate 100 is located on a horizontal plane, and an angle β defined between the bottom plate 100 and the shaft 46 of each of the plurality of louvers 40 is substantially 45 degrees. FIG. 9 shows that when the chassis 70 is turned 90 degrees in a direction B, and the bottom plate 100 is located on a vertical plane, the angel defined between the bottom plate 100 and the shaft 46 of each of the plurality of louvers 40 is still 45 degrees. In an embodiment, the side plate 50 is substantially perpendicular to the bottom plate 100.

The air vent further comprises a mounting member 10 and a locking member 20. The mounting member 10 is secured to the side plate 50. The locking member 20 secures the plurality of louvers 40 to the mounting member 10 (shown in FIG. 7). The mounting member 10 defines a plurality of first cutouts 1161 (shown in FIG. 3). The locking member 20 defines a plurality of second cutouts 215 (shown in FIG. 4). The shafts 46 of the plurality of louvers 40 are received in the first cutouts 1161 and the second cutouts 215. The first cutouts 1161 and the second cutouts 215 may be substantially semicircular, for example.

The mounting member 10 defines a plurality of mounting slots 1121. The locking member 20 comprises a plurality of locking portions 211. Each of the plurality of locking portions 211 is resiliently deformable. When the locking member 20 is moved towards the mounting member 10, until the plurality of locking portions 211 is pressed by the mounting member 10, the plurality of locking portions 211 is resiliently deformed. When the plurality of locking portions 211 is aligned with the plurality of mounting slots 1121, the plurality of locking portions 211 resiliently returns to be engaged in the plurality of mounting slots 1121, so that the locking member 20 can be secured to the mounting member 10.

The mounting member 10 comprises a plurality of limiting blocks 1165. Each of the plurality of limiting blocks 1165 restricts a rotation range of the body 47 of each of the plurality of louvers 40. The mounting member 10 defines a plurality of ventilation openings 111. The body 47 of each of the plurality of louvers 40 is rotatable between a closed position (shown in FIG. 5) and an open position (show in FIG. 6). In the closed position, the plurality of louvers 40 substantially covers the plurality of ventilation openings 111. In the open position, the plurality of louvers 40 is open, and the body 47 of each of the plurality of louvers 40 abuts each of the plurality of limiting blocks 1165.

The mounting member 10 comprises two mounting flanges 112. The two mounting flanges 112 are substantially parallel to each other. An angle defined between a horizontal surface and each of the two mounting flanges 112 is substantially 45 degrees.

The horizontal surface may be the bottom plate 100, for example. The shaft 46 of each of the plurality of louvers 40 is substantially perpendicular to the two mounting flanges 112. The plurality of first cutouts 1161 and the plurality of mounting slots 1121 are defined in each of the two mounting flanges 112.

The mounting member 10 further comprises a base wall 11 and two positioning flanges 113. The two mounting flanges 112 and the two positioning flanges 113 are located on the base wall 11, and the plurality of ventilation openings 111 is defined in the base wall 11 between the two mounting flanges 112 and between the two positioning flanges 113. The two positioning flanges 113 are substantially parallel to each other and perpendicular to the mounting flanges 112. The plurality of limiting blocks 1165 is located on each of the two positioning flanges 113. A plurality of hooks 118 extends from the base wall 11 and is configured to be engaged with the side plate 50, to secure the mounting member 10 to the side plate 50. The mounting member 10 further comprises a securing flange 13 extending from edges of the base wall 11, and the securing flange 13 surrounds the two mounting flanges 112 and the two positioning flanges 113. When the mounting member 10 is secured to the side plate 50, the securing flange 13 is received in a through opening (not shown) defined in the side plate 50.

A plurality of positioning blocks 213 extends from locking member 20. A plurality of positioning slots 1163 (shown in FIG., 3) is defined in each of the two mounting flanges 112. When the locking member 20 is secured to the mounting member 10, the plurality of positioning blocks 213 is located in the plurality of positioning slots 1163.

The locking member 20 comprises two first locking flanges 21 and two second locking flanges 22. The two first locking flanges 21 are substantially parallel to each other and perpendicular to the two second locking flanges 22. The plurality of second cutouts 215 is defined in each of the two first locking flanges 21. The plurality of locking portions 211 and the plurality of positioning blocks 213 are located on each of the two first locking flanges 21.

Each of the two positioning flanges 113 of the mounting member 10 defines a plurality of securing slots 1131. A plurality of latching portions 221 is resiliently deformable and extends from each of the two second locking flanges 22 of the locking member 20. When the locking member 20 is moved towards the mounting member 10 until the plurality of latching portions 221 is pressed by the mounting member, the plurality of latching portions 221 is resiliently deformed. When the plurality of latching portions 221 is aligned with the plurality of securing slots 1131, the plurality of latching portions 221 resiliently returns to be engaged in the plurality of securing slots 1131, to secure the locking member 20 to the mounting member 10.

It is to be understood, however, that even though numerous characteristics and advantages have been set forth in the foregoing description of embodiments, together with details of the structures and functions of the embodiments, the disclosure is illustrative only and changes may be made in detail, especially in the matters of shape, size, and arrangement of parts within the principles of the disclosure to the full extent indicated by the broad general meaning of the terms in which the appended claims are expressed.
