Packaging and Supporting Device for Liquid Crystal Display Module

A packaging and supporting device for LCD module is provided. The device includes an organizer defined with a first grooves and a second grooves for securely positioning the first and second panels in a way that the first and second modules are partially overlapped. A carton box is used to receive the first and second panels packed and supported by the organizer. With the provision of the packaging and supporting devices, two set of LCD modules can be partially stored in away to reduce the overall dimension so as to reduce the transportation cost.

Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a liquid crystal display packaging and supporting device, and more particularly to a packaging device and supporting device in which a backboard is provided with an embossed portion to properly support the panels disposed therein.

DESCRIPTION OF PRIOR ART

FIG. 1 is an illustration of an existing packaging device in which a plurality of liquid crystal display panels are disposed therein. The existing packaging device includes an organizer 1′ defined with a plurality of grooves spaced and parallel from each other. A carton box 2′ is provided to receive the organizer 1′. In order to prevent every two adjacent liquid crystal display (LCD) panels 3′ from hitting each other during storage, the panels 3′ are spaced from each other.

The LCD panel 3′ includes a main portion 30′ and an embossed section 31′ in which printed circuit board and other electronic devices disposed on a backframe. Accordingly, the total width of a panel 3′ disposed within the packaging device is a summary of the thickness of the main portion 30′, the overall height of the embossed section 31′, and a distance with respect to the adjacent panel 3

Referring to FIGS. 2 and 3 in which FIG. 2 is a top view showing a plurality of panels 3′ are disposed within the carton box 2′ by means of the organizer 1′. The organizer 1′ is configured with a base 12′ supporting a lower portion of the panel 1′ and a top 11′ positioning an upper portion of the panel 3′ so as to securely position the panels 3′ therebetween. Each organizer 1′ is used to store a certain set of panels 3′ which are disposed therebetween in parallel with each other.

FIG. 3 illustrates that the carton box 2′ can be specially designed and dimensioned such that two sets of panels 3′ can be stored within it, i.e. two sets of panels 3′ are juxtaposed within the same box 2′.

Basically, the panels 3′ are packed outside of the carton box 2′ with the organizer 1′, i.e. the panels 3′ are disposed between the base 12′ and the top 11′. Then the whole is put into the carton box 2′. As compared with what disclosed in FIG. 2, the carton box 2′ in FIG. 3 is more efficient as it can store two sets of panels 3′ vertically so as to reduce the use of additional carton box 2′. However, each set of the panels 3′ has to be supported by one organizer, and the overall size is still bulky which stack up the transportation cost.

Accordingly, there is a need to provide a novel packaging and supporting device for LCD panels so as to resolve the prior art issue.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The purpose of the present invention is to provide a packaging and supporting device for storing LCD panels while it can tremendously reduce the overall dimension.

In order to achieve the objective set forth, the present invention provides a packaging device for LCD module for packing a first set of LCD module, and a second set of module along a first direction. The first set of LCD module includes a plurality of first panels arranged in parallel with each other along a second direction which is perpendicular to the first direction, and the second set of LCD module includes a plurality of second panels arranged in parallel with each other along the second direction and partially overlapped with the first panels, the first direction being a reference direction. The packaging and supporting device further comprises an organizer used to securely positioning the first and second modules, and includes a set of first grooves and a set of second grooves which are offset from the first grooves, the first groove being used for positioning the first panels, and the second grooves being used for positioning the second panels in a way that the first and second panels are alternatively arranged along the second direction and the first and second modules being partially overlapped along the first direction. The organizer includes a first stand and a second stand distantly arranged along the first direction. The first grooves are defined on the first stand, and the second grooves are defined on the second stand and facing toward the first grooves. The first and second panels are securely disposed between the first and second stands.

A carton box is used to receive the first and second panels packed and supported by the organizer.

Wherein the first and second stands are integrally formed together.

Wherein the organizer further comprises a third stand disposed between the first and second stands, the third stand defining a first auxiliary grooves facing the first grooves of the first stand, and a second auxiliary grooves facing the second grooves of the second stand.

In order to achieve the objective set forth, the present invention provides a packaging device for LCD module for packing a first set of LCD module, and a second set of module along a first direction. The first set of LCD module includes a plurality of first panels arranged in parallel with each other along a second direction which is perpendicular to the first direction. And the second set of LCD module includes a plurality of second panels arranged in parallel with each other along the second direction and partially overlapped with the first panels. An organizer used to securely positioning the first and second modules includes a set of first grooves and a set of second grooves which are offset from the first grooves. The first groove is used for positioning the first panels, and the second grooves is used for positioning the second panels in a way that that the first and second panels are alternatively arranged along the second direction and the first and second modules being partially overlapped along the first direction. A carton box is used to receive the first and second panels packed and supported by the organizer.

Wherein the organizer includes a first stand and a second stand distantly arranged along the first direction, the first grooves are defined on the first stand, and the second grooves are defined on the second stand and facing toward the first grooves. The first and second panels are securely disposed between the first and second stands.

Wherein the first and second stands are integrally formed together.

Wherein the first direction is a reference direction.

Wherein the organizer further comprises a third stand disposed between the first and second stands, the third stand defining a first auxiliary grooves facing the first grooves of the first stand, and a second auxiliary grooves facing the second grooves of the second stand.

Wherein the first direction is a vertical direction.

In order to achieve the objective set forth, the present invention provides a packaging device for LCD module for packing a first set of LCD module, and a second set of module along a first direction. The first set of LCD module includes a plurality of first panels arranged in parallel with each other along a second direction which is perpendicular to the first direction, and the second set of LCD module includes a plurality of second panels arranged in parallel with each other along the second direction and partially overlapped with the first panels. An organizer includes a set of first grooves and a set of second grooves which are offset from the first grooves. The first groove is used for positioning the first panels, and the second grooves is used for positioning the second panels in a way that that the first and second panels are alternatively arranged along the second direction and the first and second modules being partially overlapped along the first direction.

Wherein the organizer includes a first stand and a second stand distantly arranged along the first direction, the first grooves are defined on the first stand, and the second grooves are defined on the second stand and facing toward the first grooves. The first and second panels are securely disposed between the first and second stands.

Wherein the first and second stands are integrally formed, and the first direction is a reference direction.

Wherein the organizer further comprises a third stand disposed between the first and second stands, the third stand defines a first auxiliary grooves facing the first grooves of the first stand, and a second auxiliary grooves facing the second grooves of the second stand. As compared to the existing prior art, the packaging and supporting device can properly packing the panels in an offset manner so as to reduce the overall dimension. This largely reduces the transportation cost.

FIG. 1 is an exploded perspective view of a prior art packaging device for LCD panels;

FIG. 2 is a top view of the prior art packaging device in which panels are disposed therein;

FIG. 3 is similar to FIG. 2 with two sets of panels are juxtaposed within the same box;

FIG. 4 is a top view of a packaging and supporting device made in accordance with a first embodiment of the present invention; and

FIG. 5 is a top view of a packaging and supporting device made in accordance with a second embodiment of the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

Detailed description of preferred embodiment will be given along with the accompanied drawings.

FIG. 4 is a top illustration of a packaging and supporting device 100 made in accordance with the present invention. The packaging and supporting device 100 is used to packing the first set of LCD modules 1, and a second set of LCD modules 2 along the first direction X. The first set of LCD modules 1 includes a plurality of panels 10 which are stacked along the second direction Y which is perpendicular to the first direction X. The second set of LCD modules 2 includes a plurality of panels 20 which are also arranged along the second direction Y which is perpendicular to the first direction X. Both of the first and second panels 10 and 20 are provided with embossed sections 11.

The packaging and supporting device 100 includes an organizer 3 which securely position the first and second LCD modules 1, 2, and a carton box 4 which accommodates the first and second LCD modules 1, 2 and the organizer 3.

The organizer 3 includes a set of first grooves 31, and a set of second grooves 32. The first and second grooves 31 and 32 are slight offset from each other along the second direction Y. The set of first grooves 31 are used to position the first set of panels 10. This means the first set of panels 10 are securely positioned by the set of first grooves 31 of the organizer 3. The set of second grooves 32 are used to position the second set of panels 20. This means the second set of panels 20 are securely positioned by the set of second grooves 32 of the organizer 3. Accordingly, the first and second panels 10 and 20 are offset from each other along the second direction Y.

In order to reduce the overall size of the packing when both the first LCD module 1 and the second LCD module 2 are packed, the first panels 10 and the second panels 20 are overlapped along the first direction X. In the arrangement, the first panel 10 will not in touch with the embossed section 11 of the second panel 20, while the second panel 20 will not in touch with the embossed section 11 of the first panel 10.

The organizer 3 includes a first stand 33 and a second stand 34 along the first direction X. The first grooves 31 are defined on the first stand 33, and the second grooves 32 are defined on the second stand 34. Both the first and second grooves 31 and 32 are facing toward each other with the first and second panels 10 and 20 arranged therebetween.

In the present invention, the first and second stands 33 and 34 are bridged together. It is preferable that the first and second stands 33 and 34 are integrally formed, and are interlinked by a bridge section (not shown). In addition, the first grooves 31 are arranged on the first stand 33, and the second groove 32 are defined in the second stand 34 so as to securely position the first and second panels 10 and 20.

In order to prevent any play or tolerance between the first and second panels 10 and 20 within the organizer 3, the first direction X is a preferable direction, and the second direction Y is a preferable direction.

FIG. 5 discloses another illustration of the packaging and supporting device 200. The packaging and supporting device 200 is also used to pack the first LCD module 1 and the second LCD module 2 along the first direction X.

In this embodiment, the first LCD module 10 and the second module 20 are arranged in the same manner as the first embodiment. The first and second panels 10 and 20 are alternatively offset from each other and securely positioned within the first grooves 31 of the first stand 33, and the second grooves 32 of the second stand 34, respectively.

The difference between the first and second embodiment is that the first and second stands 33 and 34 are separately from each other. However, in order to securely position the first and second panels 10 and 20 within the organizer 30, the packaging and supporting device 200 further includes an intermediate stand 35 is provided and disposed between the first and second stands 33 and 34.

The third stand 35 defines a plurality of first auxiliary groove 351 facing the first grooves 31 of the first stand 33, and a plurality of second auxiliary grooves 352 facing the second grooves 32 of the second stand 34. As a result, the first panels 10 are securely positioned between the first grooves 31 and first auxiliary groove 351 of the first and third stands 33 and 35, while the second panels 20 are securely positioned between the second grooves 32 and second auxiliary grooves 352 of the second and third stands 34 and 35.

In the present invention, the first panels 10 and the second panel 20 are securely supported by a pair of stands 33, 35, and 34, 35. Accordingly, the first and second panels 10 and 20 are securely arranged therebetween. Accordingly, the first direction X and the second direction Y will not be specially limited.

As compared to the existing prior art, the packaging and supporting device can properly packing the panels in an offset manner so as to reduce the overall dimension. This largely reduces the transportation cost.

Embodiments of the present invention have been described, but not intending to impose any unduly constraint to the appended claims. Any modification of equivalent structure or equivalent process made according to the disclosure and drawings of the present invention, or any application thereof, directly or indirectly, to other related fields of technique, is considered encompassed in the scope of protection defined by the clams of the present invention.

Claims

1. A packaging device for LCD module for packing a first set of LCD module, and a second set of module along a first direction, the first set of LCD module including a plurality of first panels arranged in parallel with each other along a second direction which is perpendicular to the first direction, and the second set of LCD module including a plurality of second panels arranged in parallel with each other along the second direction and partially overlapped with the first panels, the first direction being a reference direction, comprising:

an organizer used to securely positioning the first and second modules, including a set of first grooves and a set of second grooves which are offset from the first grooves, the first groove being used for positioning the first panels, and the second grooves being used for positioning the second panels in a way that the first and second panels are alternatively arranged along the second direction and the first and second modules being partially overlapped along the first direction;
the organizer including a first stand and a second stand distantly arranged along the first direction, the first grooves being defined on the first stand, and the second grooves being defined on the second stand and facing toward the first grooves, the first and second panels being securely disposed between the first and second stands;
a carton box used to receive the first and second panels packed and supported by the organizer.

2. The packaging and supporting device as recited in claim 1, wherein the first and second stands are integrally formed together.

The packaging and supporting device as recited in claim 1, further comprising a third stand disposed between the first and second stands, the third stand defining a first auxiliary grooves facing the first grooves of the first stand, and a second auxiliary grooves facing the second grooves of the second stand.

4. A packaging device for LCD module for packing a first set of LCD module, and a second set of module along a first direction, the first set of LCD module including a plurality of first panels arranged in parallel with each other along a second direction which is perpendicular to the first direction, and the second set of LCD module including a plurality of second panels arranged in parallel with each other along the second direction and partially overlapped with the first panels, comprising:

an organizer used to securely positioning the first and second modules, including a set of first grooves and a set of second grooves which are offset from the first grooves, the first groove being used for positioning the first panels, and the second grooves being used for positioning the second panels in a way that that the first and second panels are alternatively arranged along the second direction and the first and second modules being partially overlapped along the first direction; and
a carton box used to receive the first and second panels packed and supported by the organizer.

The packaging and supporting device as recited in claim 4, wherein the organizer includes a first stand and a second stand distantly arranged along the first direction, the first grooves being defined on the first stand, and the second grooves being defined on the second stand and facing toward the first grooves, the first and second panels being securely disposed between the first and second stands.

6. The packaging and supporting device as recited in claim 5, wherein the first and second stands are integrally formed together.

7. The packaging and supporting device as recited in claim 7, wherein the first direction is a reference direction.

8. The packaging and supporting device as recited in claim 5, further comprising a third stand disposed between the first and second stands, the third stand defining a first auxiliary grooves facing the first grooves of the first stand, and a second auxiliary grooves facing the second grooves of the second stand.

9. The packaging and supporting device as recited in claim 9, wherein the first direction is a vertical direction.

10. A packaging device for LCD module for packing a first set of LCD module, and a second set of module along a first direction, the first set of LCD module including a plurality of first panels arranged in parallel with each other along a second direction which is perpendicular to the first direction, and the second set of LCD module including a plurality of second panels arranged in parallel with each other along the second direction and partially overlapped with the first panels, an organizer including a set of first grooves and a set of second grooves which are offset from the first grooves, the first groove being used for positioning the first panels, and the second grooves being used for positioning the second panels in a way that that the first and second panels are alternatively arranged along the second direction and the first and second modules being partially overlapped along the first direction.

11. The packaging and supporting device as recited in claim 10, wherein the organizer includes a first stand and a second stand distantly arranged along the first direction, the first grooves being defined on the first stand, and the second grooves being defined on the second stand and facing toward the first grooves, the first and second panels being securely disposed between the first and second stands.

12. The packaging and supporting device as recited in claim 11, wherein the first and second stands are integrally formed together, and wherein the first direction is a reference direction.

13. The packaging and supporting device as recited in claim 11, further comprising a third stand disposed between the first and second stands, the third stand defining a first auxiliary grooves facing the first grooves of the first stand, and a second auxiliary grooves facing the second grooves of the second stand.
