Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a shoe, and more particularly to a sole base and a sandal made of the sole base.

2. Description of Related Art

With reference to FIG. 7, a conventional sandal comprises a sole base 50 and a vamp 60. The vamp 60 is combined along the periphery of the sole base 50 by sticking or sewing to form a wearable contour for a user.

However, once the vamp 60 is combined with the sole base 50, the vamp 60 cannot be removed from the sole base 50. That means the vamp 60 is not replaceable by another vamp. Accordingly, the conventional sandal is unsuitable for the user who prefers to have a sole base on which different types of vamps can be selectively mounted to form a sandal with variations in type or style.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The main objective of the present invention is to provide a sole base and a sandal made of the sole base to solve the aforementioned problem.

The sole base comprises a top side, a bottom side, a periphery, multiple holes formed at intervals and through the sole base respectively from the top side to the bottom side of the sole base, and multiple bottom slits concaved in the bottom side of the sole base, wherein each bottom slit communicates with two adjacent ones of the multiple holes and comprises an opening formed through the bottom side of the sole base, wherein each opening of the bottom slits comprises a width.

The holes and the bottom slits of the sole base allows a connection between the sole base and a rope to form a sandal, such that the sole base can be connected with different ropes to form sandal of different types or styles.

The sandal made of the sole base comprises the said sole base and a decorative rope. The decorative rope is mounted on the sole base and comprises a middle segment, a decorative portion formed by plaiting the middle segment of the decorative rope, being located above the sole base and comprising a right side, a left side, and a rear side; the decorative rope further comprises multiple connecting portions connected with the decorative portion and extending from the right side and the left side of the decorative portion, each connecting portion mounted in two adjacent ones of the multiple holes and the bottom slit that communicates with said two adjacent holes and comprising a diameter and two ends, wherein the ends of the connecting portion are connected with the decorative portion such that the connecting portion and the decorative portion form a loop, and the decorative rope further comprises a wearing space formed between the decorative portion, the connecting portions, and the sole base.

The decorative portion of the decorative rope can be plaited into different types according to the personal preferences of the user. Alternatively, the decorative rope can be replaced by another decorative rope having a different type of decorative portion. Accordingly, the sandal made of the sole base is suitable for the users who prefer to have a sandal which has a decorative rope with variations in type or style.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

With reference to FIGS. 1 and 2, a preferred embodiment of a sole base is shown and a sandal made of the sole base in accordance with the present invention comprises a sole base 10 and a decorative rope 20.

With further reference to FIGS. 3 and 4, the contour of the sole base 10 matches a sole of a user and comprises a top side, a bottom side, a periphery, multiple holes 11, multiple bottom slits 12, and multiple side slits 13. The holes 11 are formed at intervals and through the sole base 10 respectively from the top side to the bottom side of the sole base 10. Each bottom slit 12 is concaved in the bottom side of the sole base 10 and communicates with two adjacent ones of the multiple holes 11. Each bottom slit 12 comprises a lateral width and an opening 121, wherein a width of the opening 121 is smaller than the lateral width of the bottom slit 12.

With reference to FIGS. 1, 2, and 5, the side slits 13 are formed in the periphery of the sole base 10 and communicate with the holes 11 respectively. A width of any one of the side slits 13 is smaller than a width of the corresponding hole 11. The shapes of the side slits and the bottom slits 12 may be linear, wavy or lightning-shaped with jagged cuts.

With reference to FIGS. 1 to 3, the decorative rope 20 is compressible, is mounted on the sole base 10 and comprises a decorative portion 21, multiple connecting portions 22, a tying portion 23, and a wearing space 24. The decorative portion 21 is formed by plaiting a middle segment of the decorative rope 20 and is located above the sole base 10. The connecting portions 22 are connected with the decorative portion 21 and extend from a right side and a left side of the decorative portion 21. Each connecting portion 22 comprises a diameter and two ends, wherein the ends of each connecting portion 22 are connected with the decorative portion 21 to form a loop by the decorative portion 21 and the connecting portion 22.

With reference to FIGS. 1, 2, 3, and 5, each connecting portion 22 is mounted in two adjacent ones of the multiple holes 11 and the bottom slit 12 that communicates with the said two adjacent holes 11, wherein the diameter of the connecting portion 22 is larger than the width of the corresponding side slit 13 and the width of the opening 121 of the corresponding bottom slit 12, such that the connecting portion 22 can be kept from escaping from the hole 11 and the bottom slit 12. The tying portion 23 is connected with the decorative portion 21, extends from a rear side of the decorative portion 21 and comprises two ends and a tying body 231. The ends of the tying portion 23 are connected with the decorative portion 21, and the tying body 231 is located in a middle segment of the tying portion 23. A loop is formed by the decorative portion 21 and the tying portion 23. The wearing space 24 is formed between the decorative portion 21, the connecting portions 22, and the sole base 10, and defined within the loop formed by the decorative portion 21 and the tying portion 23.

With reference to FIGS. 1, 3, and 5, the decorative portion 21 can be plaited into different shapes or styles. The decorative rope 20 can be squeezed into the holes 11 through the side slits since the decorative rope 20 is compressible. The side slits 13 can keep the decorative rope 20 from escaping from the holes 11 because the diameters of the connecting portions 22 are larger than the widths of the side slits 13. With reference to FIGS. 2 and 4, the connecting portions 22 can be squeezed into the bottom slits 12 through the openings 121. The connecting portion 22 can be kept from escaping from the bottom slits 12 because the diameters of the connecting portions 22 are larger than the width of the openings 121.

With reference to FIGS. 2 and 6, a foot 30 of a user wears the sandal made of the sole base 10 via the wearing space 24. The side slits 13 and the openings 121 can keep the connecting portions 22 from escaping from the sole base 10. The connecting portions 22 are mounted in the bottom slits 12 to prevent the connecting portion 22 from detaching from the sole base 10 and from fracture caused by prolonged walking friction. The side slits 13 and the openings 121 may be wavy or lightning-shaped with jagged cuts, such that the side slits 13 and the openings 121 can further restrict the connecting portions 22 in the holes 11 and the bottom slits 12. The user can plait the decorative portion 21 into different shapes or replace the decorative portion 21 by another one, such that the sandal is suitable for the user who prefers to have a sandal which has a decorative rope 20 with variations in type or style.
