Description
BACKGROUND

1. Technical Field

The present disclosure relates to electronic devices, and more particularly to a paper transmission apparatus.

2. Description of Related Art

In general, an image forming device, such as a printer, a scanner, or a copier, may include a paper-in mechanism and a paper-out mechanism. The paper-in mechanism may include a paper-in shaft and a first roller secured to the paper-in shaft. The paper-out mechanism may include a paper-out shaft. A motor drives the first roller to rotate. The rotation of the first roller drives the paper-in shaft to rotate and transport a sheet of paper to the paper-out shaft. The sheet of paper may be arched between the paper-in shaft and the paper-out shaft because the paper-in shaft and the paper-out shaft have the same rotating speed. The arched sheet may touch a printer nozzle and cause damages the printer nozzle. Therefore, there is room in the art for improvement.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

The disclosure is illustrated by way of example and not by way of limitation in the figures of the accompanying drawings in which like references indicate similar elements. It should be noted that references to “an” or “one” embodiment in this disclosure are not necessarily to the same embodiment, and such references mean at least one.

FIGS. 1 and 2 illustrate a paper transmission apparatus in accordance with an embodiment. The paper transmission apparatus is applied to a printer device and includes a paper-in mechanism 20, a paper-out mechanism 30, a gear assembly 40, and a swing member 50. The printer device further includes a base 10, and the paper transmission apparatus is installed on the base 10.

The base 10 defines a first receiving slot 11 and a second receiving slot 13. The first receiving slot 11 and the second receiving slot 13 are located in parallel and capable of receiving the paper-in mechanism 20 and the paper-out mechanism 30, respectively.

The paper-in mechanism 20 is rotatably attached to the base 10 and includes a paper-in shaft 21, a first roller 23, and a motor (not shown). The paper-in shaft 21 is received in the first receiving slot 11 of the base 10. The first roller 23 is secured to one end of the paper-in shaft 21 and meshed with the gear assembly 40. The motor is meshed with the first roller 23 and configured to drive the first roller 23 to rotate.

The paper-out mechanism 30 includes a paper-out shaft 31 and a second roller 33. The paper-out shaft 31 is received in the second slot 13, and a part of the paper-out shaft 31 extends out of the base 10. The second roller 33 is secured to one end of the paper-out shaft 31 and adjacent to the first roller 33.

The gear assembly 40 includes a first gear 41, and a second gear 43, and a connecting arm 45 connecting the first gear 41 to the second gear 43. The number of teeth of the first gear 41 is greater than the number of teeth of the second gear 43. The first gear 41 is capable of accelerating the speed of the second roller 33. The second gear 41 is capable of decelerating the speed of the second roller 33. The connecting arm 45 defines a first connecting hole 451 and a second connecting hole 453 corresponding to the first gear 41 and the second gear 43, respectively.

The swing member 50, configured to connect the gear assembly 40 and the paper-in mechanism 20, includes a swing arm 51, a first pivot post 53 and a second pivot post 55 located on the swing arm 51. The swing arm 51 defines a rotating hole 511 for receiving a paper-in shaft 23. In one embodiment, the first pivot post 53, the second pivot post 55, and the rotating hole 511 are arranged at three corners of a equilateral triangle area. The first pivot post 53 extends through the first gear 41 to be inserted into the first connecting hole 451. The second pivot post 55 extends through the second gear 43 to be inserted into the second connecting hole 453.

FIG. 3 shows that in assembly, the paper-in shaft 21 of the paper-in mechanism 20 is received in the first receiving slot 11, and the first roller 23 is located on one side of the base 10. The paper-out shaft 31 of the paper-out mechanism 30 is received in the second receiving slot 13, and the second roller 33 is adjacent to the first roller 23.

The swing member 50 is assembled with the gear assembly 40, and is secured to an outside of the paper-in shaft 21 together with the gear assembly 40 via the rotating hole 511 receiving the paper-in shaft 21. The first gear 41 and the second gear 43 are positioned between the first roller 23 and the second roller 33 and meshed with the first roller 23, respectively. The first gear 41 is located above the second gear 43.

Referring to FIGS. 4 and 5, in use, the motor drives the first roller 23 to rotate along a first direction, and the paper-in shaft 21 is driven to rotate by the first roller 23 to move a paper (not shown) towards the paper-out shaft 31. The swing member 50 is driven to move downwards by the paper-in shaft 21, to move the gear assembly 40 downwards. The first gear 41 of the gear assembly 40 is meshed with the second roller 33 and accelerates a rotating speed of the second roller 33. The rotating speed of the second roller 33 is greater than a rotating speed of the first roller 23 for preventing the paper from arching when the paper is transported from the paper-in shaft 21 to the paper-out shaft 31, for preventing a nozzle (not shown) from being damaged.

The motor drives the first roller 23 to rotate along a second direction opposite to the first direction, and the paper-in shaft 21 is rotated driven by the first roller 23. The swing member 50 is moved upwards via the friction between the paper-in shaft 31 and an inner wall of the rotating hole 511, to move the gear assembly 40 upwards. The second gear 43 of the gear assembly 40 is meshed with the second roller 33 and decelerates the rotating speed of the second roller 33. The rotating speed of the second roller 33 is slower than the rotating speed of the first roller 23 for preventing the paper from arching when the paper is transported from the paper-out shaft 31 to the paper-in shaft 21, for preventing the nozzle from being damaged.

It is to be understood, however, that even though numerous characteristics and advantages have been set forth in the foregoing description of embodiments, together with details of the structures and functions of the embodiments, the disclosure is illustrative only and changes may be made in detail, especially in the matters of shape, size, and arrangement of parts within the principles of the disclosure to the full extent indicated by the broad general meaning of the terms in which the appended claims are expressed.
