Pliable Portable Toilet Seat Cover Device

The pliable portable toilet seat cover device provides several features that are beneficial to a user. The seat cover removably fits between the seat and the lid of an existing toilet. The bottom layer provides a true barrier between an existing toilet seat and a user. The bottom layer is comprised of plasticized material that is also bactericidal and fungicidal. The top layer is provided in the same and also in various other materials that are attractive and that provide a more comfortable skin touch. The top layer is removably affixed to the bottom layer. The flaps make positioning of the seat cover easier and provide a degree of retention to a toilet seat with the device in the correct position for use. The flaps also prevent toilet water splash that might otherwise exit the toilet between the seat and the bowl rim.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

It is often desirable to cover a toilet seat prior to its use. This is most especially true for travelers having to use public toilets. What has been needed is a pliable portable toilet seat cover, whether disposable or permanent, that provides a washable toilet seat contact surface removable from a separate top layer for skin contact.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The pliable portable toilet seat cover device relates to toilet seat covers and more especially to a toilet seat cover, provided in both permanent and disposable configurations, that also provides flaps for positioning the seat cover and for avoiding toilet splash.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The general purpose of the pliable portable toilet seat cover device, described subsequently in greater detail, is to provide a pliable portable toilet seat cover device which has many novel features that result in an improved pliable portable toilet seat cover device which is not anticipated, rendered obvious, suggested, or even implied by prior art, either alone or in combination thereof.

To attain this, the pliable portable toilet seat cover device provides several features that are beneficial to a user. First, the seat cover removably fits between the seat and the lid of an existing toilet. The bottom layer provides a true barrier between an existing toilet seat and a user, especially a publicly used one. The bottom layer may preferably be comprised of plasticized material that is also bactericidal and fungicidal. The top layer may be the same, further yielding that embodiment of the device toward disposability. The top layer may also be comprised of various other materials that are attractive and that provide a more comfortable skin touch, such as woven materials and patterned materials, for example. The attachment means for removably affixing the top layer to the bottom layer may include snaps, button, hook and loop, or any other appropriate attachment means.

The flaps provide more than one function. The flaps make positioning of the seat cover easier and provide a degree of retention to a toilet seat, with the device in the correct position for use. The flaps also prevent toilet water splash that might otherwise exit the toilet between the seat and the bowl rim.

Of importance is that either one or both of the flaps may be hollow to removably receive and transport various toiletry items. Additionally, the device may include a storage pouch for easiest transport and storage of the seat cover.

Thus has been broadly outlined the more important features of the improved pliable portable toilet seat cover device so that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated.

An object of the pliable portable toilet seat cover device is to be portable.

Another object of the pliable portable toilet seat cover device is to negate potential user contamination from an existing toilet seat.

A further object of the pliable portable toilet seat cover device is to be permanent.

An added object of the pliable portable toilet seat cover device is to be disposable.

And, an object of the pliable portable toilet seat cover device is to negate external splash from between the bowl of a toilet and the seat.

Yet another object of the pliable portable toilet seat cover device is to be easily correctly positioned on a toilet seat.

These together with additional objects, features and advantages of the improved pliable portable toilet seat cover device will be readily apparent to those of ordinary skill in the art upon reading the following detailed description of presently preferred, but nonetheless illustrative, embodiments of the improved pliable portable toilet seat cover device when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 is a top plan view.

FIG. 2 is a bottom plan view.

FIG. 3 is a cross sectional view of FIG. 2, taken along the line 3-3.

FIG. 4 is a perspective in-use view.

FIG. 5 is an exploded view of the seat cover in preparation of positioning between an existing toilet seat and existing lid.

FIG. 6 is a front elevation view of the storage pouch.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

With reference now to the drawings, and in particular FIGS. 1 through 6 thereof, the principles and concepts of the pliable portable toilet seat cover device generally designated by the reference number 10 will be described.

Referring to FIG. 1, the device 10 seat 20 has a front 21 spaced apart from a rear 22, and a first side 23 spaced apart from a second side 24. An opening 25 is disposed in the front 21 between the first side 23 and the second side 24.

Referring to FIG. 5, a top layer 30 is spaced apart from a plasticized bottom layer 32. The bottom layer 32 further comprises bactericidal and fungicidal properties. The seat cover 20 is positioned between the existing lid 14 and toilet seat 12 of an existing toilet 11.

Referring to FIG. 3, an attachment means 34 is configured to selectively attach the top layer 30 to the bottom layer 32. The illustrated attachment means 34 comprises hook and loop.

Referring to FIG. 2 and FIG. 4, a first flap 40 is extended downwardly from the first side 23 bottom layer 32. The first flap 40 is disposed at the front 21 and extended toward the rear 22. The first flap 40 is extended downwardly past the existing toilet seat 12 and partially over a bowl rim 16 of the existing toilet 11. A second flap 42 is extended downwardly from the second side 24. The second flap 42 is disposed at the front 21 and extended toward the rear 22. The second flap 42 a mirror image of the first flap 40. The second flap 42 is extended downwardly and outwardly past the existing toilet seat 12 and partially exteriorly over the bowl rim 16 of the existing toilet 11.

Referring to FIG. 6, a storage pouch 50 is configured to removably contain the seat cover 20 for portability and storage.

Directional terms such as “front”, “back”, “in”, “out”, “downward”, “upper”, “lower”, and the like may have been used in the description. These terms are applicable to the embodiments shown and described in conjunction with the drawings. These terms are merely used for the purpose of description in connection with the drawings and do not necessarily apply to the position in which the pliable portable toilet seat cover device may be used.
