Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a toy and, more particularly, to a Chinese combination toy for children.

2. Description of the Related Art

A conventional kid toy, such as a yo-yo, comprises a spool that is reeled up and down on a string by motions of a user's hand. Another conventional kid toy, such as a diabolo (or Chinese yo-yo), comprises a spool, a cord wound around the spool, and two sticks connected with two distal ends of the cord. Thus, a user's two hands can hold the two sticks to move the cord so as to spin the spool or throw and catch the spinning spool. However, the conventional kid toy has a fixed structure and cannot be detached so that the conventional kid toy has a larger volume before assembly or when not in use, thereby causing inconvenience in and increasing the cost of packaging, transportation and storage of the conventional kid toy.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In accordance with the present invention, there is provided a combination toy, comprising a bottom plate, an inner board unit removably mounted on the bottom plate, an outer board unit removably mounted on the bottom plate, and two side board units each removably mounted on the bottom plate. The inner board unit includes at least one inner board. The inner board of the inner board unit has a periphery provided with a plurality of first connecting grooves. The outer board unit is combined with the inner board unit. The outer board unit includes a plurality of outer boards. The number of the outer boards of the outer board unit is equal to that of the first connecting grooves of the inner board of the inner board unit. Each of the outer boards of the outer board unit has a first side provided with a second connecting groove connected with a respective one of the first connecting grooves of the inner board of the inner board unit. Each of the outer boards of the outer board unit has a second side provided with a recess. The recess of each of the outer boards of the outer board unit is aligned with the second connecting groove. Each of the outer boards of the outer board unit has two opposite ends each provided with a wing. Each of the side board units is combined with the outer board unit. The side board units are located at the two opposite ends of each of the outer boards of the outer board unit. Each of the side board units includes a plurality of side boards. Each of the side boards of each of the side board units is provided with a third connecting groove mounted on the wing of each of the outer boards of the outer board unit, with the recess of each of the outer boards of the outer board unit being disposed between the side boards of the side board units at the two opposite ends of each of the outer boards of the outer board unit. Each of the outer boards of the outer board unit is inserted into and encircled by the side boards of the side board units.

According to the primary advantage of the present invention, the inner board unit, the outer board unit and the side board units are assembled and disassembled with each other so that the combination toy can be assembled and disassembled by the user.

According to another advantage of the present invention, the inner board unit, the outer board unit and the side board units are integrally and removably formed on the bottom plate before assembly so as to largely save the space and decrease the cost of packaging, transportation and storage of the combination toy.

According to a further advantage of the present invention, the combination toy can be detached when not in use, thereby facilitating the user storing the combination toy.

According to a further advantage of the present invention, each of the inner board unit, the outer board unit and the side board units has a simple structure, thereby decreasing the cost of fabrication.

According to a further advantage of the present invention, the configuration of the combination toy is changeable so that the combination toy can function as a yo-yo or a diabolo so as to increase the amusement of playing.

In such a manner, the combination toy functions as a yo-yo to provide an amusement of playing.

As shown in FIG. 6, each of the side boards 41 of each of the side board units 4 has a circular shape and has a different diameter so that the side boards 41 of the side board units 4 form a substantially conic profile.

As shown in FIG. 7, each of the side boards 41 of each of the side board units 4 has a rectangular shape and has a different size.

As shown in FIG. 8, each of the side boards 41 of each of the side board units 4 has a triangular shape and has a different size.

Referring to FIGS. 9 and 10, the inner board unit 2 includes multiple inner boards 21, the second connecting groove 32 of each of the outer boards 31 of the outer board unit 3 has an elongate shape, and the recess 33 of each of the outer boards 31 of the outer board unit 3 has an elongate shape. In assembly, the inner boards 21 of the inner board unit 2 laminate each other, with the first connecting grooves 22 of the inner boards 21 being connected to each other. Then, the second connecting groove 32 of each of the outer boards 31 of the outer board unit 3 is connected with a respective one of the first connecting grooves 22 of each of the inner boards 21 of the inner board unit 2. Then, the side boards 41 of each of the side board units 4 laminate each other. Then, each of the outer boards 31 of the outer board unit 3 is inserted into and encircled by the side boards 41 of the side board units 4 so that the third connecting groove 42 of each of the side boards 41 of each of the side board units 4 is mounted on the wing 34 of each of the outer boards 31 of the outer board unit 3, with the ramp 341 of each of the outer boards 31 of the outer board unit 3 being protruded outward from the third connecting groove 42 of the outermost one of the side boards 41 of each of the side board units 4, and with the third connecting groove 42 of the outermost one of the side boards 41 of each of the side board units 4 being connected with the respective stepped notch 35 of each of the outer boards 31 of the outer board unit 3. At this time, the recess 33 of each of the outer boards 31 of the outer board unit 3 is disposed between the side boards 41 of the side board units 4 at the two opposite ends of each of the outer boards 31 of the outer board unit 3. Thus, the inner board unit 2, the outer board unit 3 and the side board units 4 are combined to construct the combination toy.
