INTEGRATED ROLLER BRUSH GROOVE WITH HAIR AND DEBRIS CUTTING DEVICE FOR USE IN VACUUM CLEANERS AND OTHER SWEEPING DEVICES
Roller brushes (e.g. vacuum cleaners, sweeping machines) collect hair and debris around the bristles and tubing rendering the device ineffective. This is an integrated system for safe and easy cutting and removal of the debris, providing optimal machine performance. The cutting device is either stored in a section of the machine housing or a separate entity depending on the individual machine. The device contains a sharp blade inside a protective shield. The bottom is ridged to run along a grooved track. A grooved track is placed between the bristles along the length of the roller brush for the cutting device. When cleaning is needed the device is moved along the grooved track cutting the hair and debris into small segments. A comb-type device with a hooked end will be used for removing the segments of hair and debris from the bristles.
Dimensions will be specific for machine device is used on
FIG. 1—side view of roller brush with grooves placed between the bristle rows for cutting device to slide along
FIG. 2—end view of roller brush with cutting device grooves between the bristle rows
FIG. 3—push rod used for pushing/moving cutting device along cutting device grooves, if housing is not large enough for usage by itself
FIG. 4—side view of cutting device carrier—outside is safety housing with a razor-type blade inside
FIG. 5—back end view of cutting device carrier case with ridge for grooved track
FIG. 6—comb-type device with end hook for removing cut segments. The teeth correspond to the width of the bristles on the roller brush.
Claims
