FIG. 1 illustrates a front view of a crib cup holder, according to an embodiment of the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF ILLUSTRATIVE EMBODIMENTS

Various aspects of the illustrative embodiments will be described using terms commonly employed by those skilled in the art to convey the substance of their work to others skilled in the art. However, it will be apparent to those skilled in the art that the present invention may be practiced with only some of the described aspects. For purposes of explanation, specific numbers, materials and configurations are set forth in order to provide a thorough understanding of the illustrative embodiments. However, it will be apparent to one skilled in the art that the present invention may be practiced without the specific details. In other instances, well-known features are omitted or simplified in order not to obscure the illustrative embodiments.

Various operations will be described as multiple discrete operations, in turn, in a manner that is most helpful in understanding the present invention. However, the order of description should not be construed as to imply that these operations are necessarily order dependent. In particular, these operations need not be performed in the order of presentation.

The phrase “in one embodiment” is utilized repeatedly. The phrase generally does not refer to the same embodiment, however, it may. The terms “comprising”, “having” and “including” are synonymous, unless the context dictates otherwise.

FIG. 1 illustrates a front view of a crib cup holder 100, according to an embodiment of the present invention.

The crib cup holder 100 includes a base cup holder 110, a plurality of connecting devices 120 and a cup rim 130. The base cup holder 110 can contain a Sippy cup, a baby bottle or any other suitable toddler drinking receptacle. The base cup holder 110 has a generally round shape 112, and is made of plastic, rigid foam such as STRYROAM™, aluminum or other polyisocyanate based material or other suitable material. The base cup holder 110 is approximately 4 inches in height and 3 inches in diameter although the base cup holder 110 can be any suitable dimensions that can accommodate a Sippy cup, a baby bottle or any other suitable toddler drinking receptacle. The connecting devices 120 wrap around the base cup holder 110 and one or more columns 122 of an infant and a toddler crib 124, a convertible crib 126, a toddler bed 128 or other suitable crib. The connecting devices 120 are also made of fitted NEOPRENE™ rubber or other suitable material. The connecting devices 120 are relatively thin straps 121 that wrap around the base cup holder 110 and one or more columns 122 of an infant and a toddler crib 124, a convertible crib 126, a toddler bed 128 or other suitable crib. The cup rim 130 is disposed on the top outer circumference 114 of the base cup holder 110 and can be made of an illuminated material 132 to make the base cup holder 110 and the cup rim 130 relatively more visible in a dark environment.

The crib cup holder of a container is engineered to fasten directly onto an infant and toddler's crib, convertible crib or toddler bed. The crib cup holder is a well-suited alternative to a traditional crib cup holder. Relatively easy to use, the crib cup holder includes a connecting device, allowing the crib cup holder to be relatively easily fastened to any existing crib, convertible crib or toddler bed. The container itself is typically round, relatively lightweight and large enough to accommodate all variations of Sippy cups and may be readily available in a multitude of colors to suit any consumer preference. Among those who will find the crib cup holder relatively practical, convenient and safe, are baby product manufacturers and the everyday parent and caregiver. The crib cup holder features an option of a cup holder with or without a glow in the dark rim. The crib cup holder's glow in the dark rim is designed to act as a very low-light which allows the infant and toddler to find the cup holder in the dark.

While the present invention has been related in terms of the foregoing embodiments, those skilled in the art will recognize that the invention is not limited to the embodiments described. The present invention can be practiced with modification and alteration within the spirit and scope of the appended claims. Thus, the description is to be regarded as illustrative instead of restrictive on the present invention.
