The utility model relates to outdoor leisure products, and particularly to a frame for a tent.

BACKGROUND

Tents have various forms. For example, there are large tents and small tents. Besides, there are square, circular and hexagonal tents. The tent primarily consists of a tent cloth and a tent frame for supporting the tent cloth. The common tent frame generally consists of several groups of supporting rods for connecting top rods, and the top rods form a top support structure. However, the well-known tents suffer from a general drawback in that they usually are relatively complicated in structure. Several groups of rods are required to support the tent cloth. It is difficult and time-consuming to put up the support structure, and the production cost is also increased.

FIG. 1 depicts a frame for a tent. The frame includes two collapsible, arched sub-frames 1 interconnected at their respective ends by a pair of bottom pivoting seats 2. The frame can support a cloth (not shown) that defines a tent interior. In order to support the cloth with a relatively large area, the cloth can be connected to the inside or outside of the space enclosed within sub-frames 1. The cloth at both sides of the frame can be pulled to expand and separate sub-frames 1, and can have a bottom fixed to the ground so as to form a standing and unfolded tent. The tent cloth can be provided with a fastening buckle which is connected and fixed to the supporting frame rod. The tent cloth can be provided with a hook (not shown) at the bottom for fixing the tent cloth to the ground, As a result, once the tent cloth is supported by the supporting sub-frames 1 and the tent cloth is pulled to expand and fix, a three-dimensional tent is achieved.

In order to fold and expand the tent frame, referring to FIGS. 1-5, each supporting sub-frame 1 comprises two upright rods 11 and top rods 12 which are movably connected to top ends of the upright rods 11 respectively. The upright rods 11 and the top rods 12 are connected by a one-way connecting piece 13 which has an angle limit and is folded upward. The two top rods 12 are connected by a one-way connecting piece 14 which has an angle limit and is folded downward. Here, the upright rods 11 can have a telescopic sleeve structure to increase the height of the tent. The top rods 12 can be flexible rods. As a result, the top rods can exhibit an arched top when it is expanded between two upright rods 11, so that the top of the tent is curved and the top surface of the tent is fuller.

The lower end of each of the two upright rods 11 is connected to bottom pivoting seat 2, and the two sub-frames 1 are arranged side-by-side and can be folded in parallel. When the tent is in use—the frame is unfolded—sub-frames 1 are expanded to form a V shape, as shown in FIG. 1. The bottom of each upright rod 11 is connected to one of the bottom pivoting seats 2, and each pivoting seat 2 is provided with two pivoting ports for connecting the upright rods accordingly.

To collapse the frame, upright rods 11 are telescopically collapsed. The top rods 12 and the upright rods 11 which have been folded at both sides can be further bent downward simultaneously to fold inward, and can be drawn close to each other and then folded. Further, under the action of the one-way connecting piece 13, each upright rod 11 is bent upward and folded to the top rods 12, thus the tent frame can be folded as a whole with minimum volume, as shown in FIGS. 4-5. Since the supporting sub-frames 1 are bent inward and then folded together in a step by step manner, it is possible to avoid stacking the tent cloth in a disorderly manner and to expand the tent cloth in an orderly manner. The one-way connecting pieces 13 and 14 further have an angle limit. Thus, the sub-frames 1 form a certain angle when expanded, so as to support the tent. The one-way connecting piece 14 can further be provided with a snap button, which makes it convenient to fold the two top rods 12.

In the tent frame of the utility model, since two groups of supporting frame rods—sub-frames 1—are combined to form the tent frame, the tent frame is simple in the whole structure, and is easy to fold and use. Besides, the tent cloth can be directly integrated with the frame, so that the tent cloth can be put up by expanding the supporting frame rod and pulling the tent cloth at the same time. The tent frame can also be folded conveniently and fast into a small volume, which makes it convenient to collect and carry.

Claims

1. A frame supporting a tent in a folded state and an unfolded state, the frame comprising:

a first sub-frame, arched in the unfolded state, having: a first sub-frame end and a second sub-frame end; a first upright rod extending from the first sub-frame end, a first top rod extending from the first upright rod, a second top rod extending from the first top rod, and a second upright rod extending from the second top-rod to the second sub-frame end; and

a second sub-frame, arched in the unfolded state, having: a third sub-frame end, pivotally connected to the first sub-frame end, and a fourth sub-frame end, pivotally connected to the second sub-frame end, the second sub-frame including a third upright rod extending from the third sub-frame end, a third top rod extending from the third upright rod, a fourth top rod extending from the third top rod, and a fourth upright rod extending from the fourth top rod to the fourth sub-frame end.

2. The frame of claim 1, the first sub-frame including:

a first connector disposed between the first top rod and the second top rod, the first connector allowing the first top rod and the second top rod to fold toward one another in only a first direction to fold the frame into the folded state; and

a second connector disposed between the third top rod and the fourth top rod, the second connector allowing the third top rod and the fourth top rod to fold toward one another in only the first direction to fold the frame into the folded state.

3. The frame of claim 2, further comprising:

a third connector disposed between the first upright rod and the first top rod, the third connector allowing the first upright rod and the first top rod to fold toward one another in only a second direction to fold the frame into the folded state; and

a fourth connector disposed between the second upright rod and the second top rod, the fourth connector allowing the second upright rod and the second top rod to fold toward one another in only the second direction to fold the frame into the folded state.

4. The frame of claim 3, wherein the second direction is opposite the first direction.

5. The frame of claim 1, further comprising a first bottom pivoting seat pivotally connecting the first sub-frame end to the third sub-frame end, and a second bottom pivoting seat pivotally connecting the second sub-frame end to the fourth sub-frame end.

6. The frame of claim 1, wherein the first and second upright rods each include rod sections.

7. The frame of claim 6, wherein the rod sections telescope.

8. The frame of claim 1, wherein the first sub-frame and second sub-frame exhibit a V-shape in the unfolded state.

9. The frame of claim 1, wherein the first upright rod is adjacent the first top rod and the third upright rod in the folded state.

10. The frame of claim 1, wherein the first, second, third, and fourth top rods are flexible and bent in the unfolded state and relatively straight in the folded state.
