BEVERAGE BOTTLE WRAP
A system for covering a beverage bottle comprising: an elongated towel, where the towel includes a seat, an opening and seams extending up opposing sides of the towel; a flexible ring, where the flexible ring fits around the outer surface of the towel after a user places a bottle into the towel; and a flap extending over the flexible ring, where the flap is created by a over hang of the elongate towel. In one particular embodiment, the flexible ring is made of rubber. The bottle may include a neck and the ring fits at the bottom of the neck to hold the elongated towel in place.
1. Field of Invention
The present invention relates to a system that provides a towel wrap for a beverage bottle.
2. Description of Related Art
Many consumers enjoy bottled refreshments in various forms such as sodas or beer. A number of carbonated beverages are placed in a bottle as a method to store and consume the beverage. On occasion, individuals consume the beverage directly from the bottle and therefore avoid using a glass or cup, especially when individuals are outdoors at outdoor events or at sporting events. Many times consumers consume the beverage directly out of the bottle or container. A glass bottle container normally includes a longneck portion and a body portion that is usually gripped during consumption. One drawback to using the bottle is the condensation that develops over the outside of the bottle over a period of time. Many times individuals drink these beverages in a cooled state and during consumption the beverage is exposed to a warmer environment and therefore condensation develops over the surface of the bottle. Consequently, it would be advantageous to have a device that could easily be placed around the outside surface of the bottle to absorb condensation and to provide for an easy grip on the bottle. Further, the wrapping of the bottle should assist in keeping the beverage cooler over a longer period of time.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONThe present invention relates to a system for covering a beverage bottle comprising: an elongated towel, where the towel includes a seat, an opening and seams extending up opposing sides of the towel; a flexible ring, where the flexible ring fits around the outer surface of the towel after a user places a bottle into the towel; and a flap extending over the flexible ring, where the flap is created by a over hang of the elongate towel. In one particular embodiment, the flexible ring is made of rubber. The bottle may include a neck and the ring fits at the bottom of the neck to hold the elongated towel in place.
The present invention relates to a system that uses a towel wrap to wrap the outer surface of a beverage bottle. The wrap encloses a significant portion of the bottle and is held in place through the use of a ring that is placed over a portion of the towel that is wrapped around the neck of the bottle. The wrap according to the present invention may include a seat at the bottom to receive the bottom of the bottle. The towel extends upwardly from the seat and held in place at the bottom of the neck portion of the bottle
In reference to
The ring 20 is of a suitable size to fit over the neck 23 but is smaller than the wider portion of the bottle 50. Further, seams 27 are provided on each side of the Towel Wrap 25. The user of the Towel Wrap 25 slides the bottle 50 into the Towel Wrap 25, extends the Towel Wrap 25 above the base of the neck 23 and then places the ring 20 over the Towel Wrap 25. One additional feature of the Towel Wrap 25 is a slogan 30 that is placed across one side of the towel wrap. This slogan 30 can vary and provides a marketing incentive for marketing the towel in different varieties. The ring 20 may be manufactured of a rubber-type substance allowing for the ring 20 to expand over the neck of the bottle 50 while being placed over the Towel Wrap 25. The expansion of the ring 20 allows for the placement of the Towel Wrap 25 on different size bottles. The instant invention has been shown and described in what it considers to be the most practical and preferred embodiments. It is recognized, however, that departures may be made there from within the scope of the invention and that obvious modifications will occur to a person skilled in the art.
