QUICKLY DRYING UMBRELLA

An exemplary umbrella includes a handle to receive a motor, a fan, and a battery. The motor drives the fan to rotate when powered by the battery. The umbrella further includes a hollow support bar coupled to a top of the handle, and the support bar defines a number of receiving holes. A switch can be received in the support bar to actuate the motor when pressed. Each of a number of hollow umbrella ribs includes one end inserted into a corresponding receiving hole. Each umbrella rib can communicate with the support bar, and defines a number of through holes. A canopy is coupled to lower portions of the support ribs. When the fan rotates as driven by the motor, air from the support bar flows to the support ribs, and to the canopy via the through holes.

Description
FIELD

The present disclosure relates to umbrellas and, more particularly, to an umbrella that can dry quickly.

BACKGROUND

Umbrellas are commonly used to shelter persons from the rain. When a umbrella with water droplets is taken into a room, the water droplets will start falling off the canopy of the umbrella onto the floor or get transferred to the surface that the umbrella is sitting on.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

Many aspects of the present disclosure can be better understood with reference to the following drawings. The elements in the drawings are not necessarily drawn to scale, the emphasis instead being placed upon clearly illustrating the principles of the present disclosure. Moreover, in the drawings, like reference numerals designate corresponding parts throughout the views, and all the views are schematic. The description is not to be considered as limiting the embodiments described herein.

FIG. 1 is an isometric view of an umbrella, in accordance with an exemplary embodiment.

FIG. 2 is an exploded isometric view of the umbrella of FIG. 1 in which a canopy is omitted.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

FIGS. 1-2 illustrate an exemplary embodiment of an umbrella 100. The umbrella 100 includes an umbrella handle 10, a support bar 11, an umbrella head 12, a switch 15, a plurality of umbrella ribs 30, and a canopy 20.

The umbrella handle 10 can be a hollow cylinder, and can include a bottom cap 60 at one end. A motor 16, a fan 17, and a battery 50 can be received in the umbrella handle 10. When powered by the battery 50, the motor 16 can drive the fan 17 to rotate. A jack 40 can be arranged in the side surface of the umbrella handle 10, and the battery 50 can be charged via the jack 40 that can be coupled to an external power source. In the illustrated embodiment, motor 16, the fan 17, and the battery 50 can be secured to the bottom cap 60.

The connecting cables 18 can be coupled with the switch 15 and the motor 16. The support bar 11 can be coupled to the top of the umbrella handle 10. In the illustrated embodiment, the support bar 11 can be integrally formed with the umbrella handle 10. The support bar 11 can be hollow and have a diameter less than a diameter of the umbrella handle 10. The switch 15 and the connecting cables 18 can be received in the support bar 11. The support bar 11 can define an opening 13 in a lateral surface. The switch 15 can include a button 25 received in the opening 13. When pressed down, the button 25 can actuate the switch 15 to actuate the motor 16.

The support bar 11 can further define a number of receiving holes 14 near the top. One end of each of the support ribs 30 can be inserted into a corresponding one of the receiving holes 14. Each support rib 30 can be hollow and communicate with the support bar 11. The canopy 20 can be coupled to lower portions of the support ribs 30, and give a person shelter from the sun, rain, or snow. A number of through holes 31 can be defined along a lengthwise direction of each support rib 30. In the illustrated embodiment, the through holes 31 are defined at opposite sides of each support rib 30 along a lengthwise direction.

The umbrella head 12 can be rotatably coupled to the top of the support bar 11. A fixing rod 19 can protrude from the umbrella head 12, and can be received in the support bar 11. The switch 13 can be coupled to the fixing rod 19.

With the above configuration, when the fan 17 is driven by the motor 16 to rotate, continuous air from the support bar 11 flows to the support ribs 30, and to the canopy 20 via the through holes 31, thereby quickly drying the canopy 20.

Although the present disclosure has been specifically described on the basis of the exemplary embodiments thereof, the disclosure is not to be construed as being limited thereto. Various changes or modifications may be made to the embodiments without departing from the scope and spirit of the disclosure.
