CHAIR WITH SEAT OF ADJUSTABLE LENGTH

A chair (10) with a seat of adjustable length includes a chair stand (1), a transmission shaft (2), a first chair seat (3) and a second chair seat (4). The transmission shaft (2) is mounted onto the chair stand (1) and rotatable with respect to the chair stand (1) and has left and right spiral threads (21, 22) aligned in opposite directions and formed on the exterior of the transmission shaft (2). The first and second chair seats (3, 4) are sheathed on the transmission shaft (2) and screwed and transmitted along the left and right spiral threads (21, 22) respectively and synchronously drive the first and second chair seats (3, 4) to approach or separate from one another. The width of the chair seat can be adjusted to attach the chair to a user's buttock closely for sitting posture correction and pelvic correction.

Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a chair, and more particularly to the chair with a seat of adjustable length.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Chair is a common piece of furniture used in daily life, and the effects of fitting a user's buttock and providing a comfortable sitting posture are the key points for designing a chair, particularly for users who have to sit for a long time.

However, the curve and the size of a user's buttock vary, and present existing chairs available in the market are unable to attach to the buttocks of different users, so that when a user sits on a chair, the user's buttock may not be supported uniformly by the chair, and a poor sitting posture may result when the user sits on the chair for a long time. Meanwhile, the existing chairs available in the market do not provide a correction function for users with a wide hip or deformed hip problem.

In view of the aforementioned shortcomings, the inventor of the present invention based on years of experience in the related industry to conduct extensive researches and experiments to develop and design a chair with a seat of adjustable length to overcome the aforementioned shortcomings of the related art.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

Therefore, the present invention is to provide a chair with a seat of adjustable length, wherein the width of the seat can be adjusted and limited, so that the chair can be attached to a user's buttock closely and can provide the function of correcting a user's sitting post and pelvis.

To achieve the aforementioned objective, the present invention provides a chair with a seat of adjustable length, comprising: a chair stand; a transmission shaft, mounted onto the chair stand, and being rotatable with respect to the chair stand, and having a left spiral thread and a right spiral thread in opposite directions formed on the exterior of the transmission shaft; a first chair seat, sheathed on the transmission shaft, and screwed and rotated along the left spiral thread; and a second chair seat, sheathed on the transmission shaft, and screwed and rotated along the right spiral thread; such that the first chair seat and the second chair seat can be driven synchronously to approach or move away from one another.

The present invention further has the following effects:

1. The first chair seat and the second chair seat are screwed and transmitted with respect to the left spiral thread and the right spiral thread of the transmission shaft respectively to drive the first chair seat and the second chair seat synchronously to approach or move away from each other, so that the chair seat of the chair can be adjusted according to the size of a user's buttock to attach the first chair seat and the second chair seat to the user's buttock closely and restrict the user's sitting posture, so as to achieve the effects of hip shaping, pelvic correction and sitting posture correction.

2. The chair of the present invention further comprises an adjusting mechanism coupled to the transmission shaft and operated together with the transmission shaft for adjusting the gap between the first chair seat and the second chair seat, and thus the chair of the present invention chair has the advantage of adjusting the width of the chair seats.

3. The first seat body with a first hip-shaped cambered surface and the second seat body with a second hip-shaped cambered surface come with a design of attaching a human buttock closely, so that a user can sit on the chair ergonomically and comfortably.

4. The first hip-shaped cambered surface and the second hip-shaped cambered surface come with a design of attaching a human buttock closely and the gap between the first chair seat and the second chair seat can be adjusted, such that the first chair seat and the second chair seat can support the user's weight uniformly at the periphery, both sides and the bottom of the user's buttock to further improve the effects of hip shaping, pelvic correction and sitting posture correction.

5. The chair of the present invention further comprises two pads fixed to the first seat body and the second seat body respectively to enhance the softness of the first seat body and second seat body for the sitting purpose.

6. Each internal surface of the two pads has a hip-shaped recessed area with a design of attaching a human buttock closely, so that the chair of the present invention is comfortable for sitting and in compliance with ergonomics, hip shaping, pelvic correction and sitting posture correction requirements.

7. The chair of the present invention chair further comprises a battery, and the adjusting mechanism is a motor drive assembly, and the battery is electrically coupled to the motor drive assembly. However, the chair of the present invention chair will not be limited by a power cable, so that the chair can be moved or disposed anywhere in a room, and the chair of the invention features a convenient use and disposition.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

The technical contents of the present invention will become apparent with the detailed description of preferred embodiments accompanied with the illustration of related drawings as follows. It is noteworthy that the drawings are provided for the purpose of illustrating the present invention, but not intended for limiting the scope of the invention.

With reference to FIGS. 1 to 5 for a chair with a seat of adjustable length in accordance with the present invention, the chair 10 comprises a chair stand 1, a transmission shaft 2, a first chair seat 3 and a second chair seat 4.

The chair stand 1 is a shank with a plurality of supporting pawls extended from an end of the shank. However, the shape of the chair stand 1 of the present invention is not limited to the aforementioned shape only, but it can also be of any other geometric shape.

The transmission shaft 2 is installed to the chair stand 1 and rotatable with respect to the chair stand 1, and a left spiral thread 21 and a right spiral thread 22 in opposite directions are formed on the exterior of the transmission shaft 2.

The first chair seat 3 is sheathed on the transmission shaft 2 and screwed and transmitted along the left spiral thread 21. More specifically, the first chair seat 3 includes a first seat body 31 and a first actuating element 32 fixed to the bottom of the first seat body 31, and the first seat body 31 has a first recessed slot 311, and the first actuating element 32 is fixed to the bottom of the first recessed slot 311.

In addition, the first seat body 31 has a first sitting portion 312 and a first abutting portion 313 extended from a side of the external periphery of the first sitting portion 312, and internal sides of the first sitting portion 312 and the first abutting portion 313 have a first hip-shaped cambered surface 314, and the first actuating element 32 has a first screw hole 321 and one or more first penetrating holes 322.

The second chair seat 4 is sheathed on the transmission shaft 2 and screwed and transmitted along the right spiral thread 22 to drive the first chair seat 3 and the second chair seat 4 synchronously to approach or move away from each other. Specifically, the second chair seat 4 includes a second seat body 41 and a second actuating element 42 fixed to the bottom of the second seat body 41, and the second seat body 41 has a second recessed slot 411, and the second actuating element 42 is fixed to the bottom of the second recessed slot 411.

In addition, the second seat body 41 has a second sitting portion 412, and a second abutting portion 413 extended from a side of the external periphery of the s second sitting portion 412 and symmetrical to the first abutting portion 313, and internal sides of the second sitting portion 412 and second abutting portion 413 have a second hip-shaped cambered surface 414. In addition, the second actuating element 42 has a second screw hole 421 and one or more second penetrating holes 422. Wherein, the first hip-shaped cambered surface 314 and the second hip-shaped cambered surface 414 come with a design of attaching a human buttock closely.

In addition, the left spiral thread 21 of the transmission shaft 2 is screwed with respect to the first screw hole 321 and the right spiral thread 22 is screwed with respect to the second screw hole 421, such that the first chair seat 3 and the second chair seat 4 can be screwed and transmitted with respect to the transmission shaft 2.

The chair with a seat of adjustable length 10 in accordance with the present invention further comprises a position limiting mechanism 5 for restricting the moving range of the first chair seat 3 and the second chair seat 4, and the position limiting mechanism 5 is coupled to the chair stand 1.

Specifically, the position limiting mechanism 5 comprises one or more positioning guide rods 51 installed onto the chair stand 1 and disposed on a side of the transmission shaft 2, and the positioning guide rod 51 is passed and slid into the first penetrating hole 322 and the second penetrating hole 422, and the first chair seat 3 and the second chair seat 4 are sheathed on the positioning guide rod 51 and slid along the positioning guide rod 51.

The position limiting mechanism 5 further includes a mount 52 mounted onto the chair stand 1, and the mount 52 includes a base 521 and a wall 522 extended from the periphery of the base 521. The transmission shaft 2 and the positioning guide rod 51 are fixed between both sides of the wall 522, and the transmission shaft 2 is rotated with respect to the mount 52, and the mount 52 is contained in the first recessed slot 311 and the second recessed slot 411.

The chair with a seat of adjustable length 10 in accordance with the present invention further comprises an adjusting mechanism 6 coupled to the transmission shaft 2 and operated together with the transmission shaft 2. The adjusting mechanism 6 can be a handwheel 61 integrally formed with the transmission shaft 2a and exposed from a side of the first chair seat 3 or the second chair seat 4.

The chair with a seat of adjustable length 10 in accordance with the present invention further comprises two pads 71, wherein one of the pads 71 is fixed on internal surfaces of the first sitting portion 312 and the first abutting portion 313, and the other pad 71 is fixed on internal surfaces of the second sitting portion 412 and the second abutting portion 413, and inner surfaces of the two pads 71 have a hip-shaped recessed area 711, wherein the hip-shaped recessed area 711 comes with a design of attaching a human buttock closely.

The chair with a seat of adjustable length 10 in accordance with the present invention further comprises an elevating mechanism 72 coupled to the chair stand 1 and provided for adjusting the elevation of the chair stand 1.

With reference to FIGS. 1 to 3 for the assembly of a chair with a seat of adjustable length 10 in accordance with the present invention, the transmission shaft 2 is mounted onto the chair stand 1 and rotatable with respect to the chair stand 1, left spiral thread 21 and right spiral thread 22 opposite to one another are formed on the exterior of the transmission shaft 2. The first chair seat 3 is sheathed on the transmission shaft 2 and screwed and transmitted along the left spiral thread 21. The second chair seat 4 is sheathed on the transmission shaft 2 and screwed and transmitted along the right spiral thread 22, and the first chair seat 3 and the second chair seat 4 are driven to approach or move away from one another. The transmission shaft 2 is provided for driving the first chair seat 3 and the second chair seat 4 to approach or move away from one another in order to adjust and limit the width of the chair seats, so that the chair seats of the chair 10 can be attached to a user's buttock closely to provide the functions of sitting posture correction and pelvic correction.

With reference to FIGS. 4 and 5 for the using status of a chair with a seat of adjustable length 10 in accordance with the present invention, a left spiral thread 21 and a right spiral thread 22 in opposite directions with each other are formed at the exterior of the transmission shaft 2, so that when the transmission shaft 2 is rotated, the left spiral thread 21 of the transmission shaft 2 is screwed with respect to the first screw hole 321 and the right spiral thread 22 is screwed with respect to the second screw hole 421, so that the first chair seat 3 and the second chair seat 4 can be screwed and transmitted with respect to the transmission shaft 2 to drive the first chair seat 3 and the second chair seat 4 synchronously to approach and move away from one another, and the chair seats of the chair 10 can be adjusted according to the size of a user's buttock, so that the first chair seat 3 and the second chair seat 4 can be attached to the user's buttock closely and restrict the user's sitting posture. Therefore, the invention can provide the effects of hip shaping, pelvic correction and sitting posture correction.

In addition, the chair 10 of the present invention further comprises a position limiting mechanism 5 for restricting the moving range of the first chair seat 3 and the second chair seat 4, and the position limiting mechanism 5 includes a positioning guide rod 51, and the first chair seat 3 and the second chair seat 4 are sheathed on the positioning guide rod 51 and slid along the positioning guide rod 51, so that the chair 10 of the present invention can restrict the first chair seat 3 and the second chair seat 4 to rotate with the transmission shaft 2 through a simple component of the positioning guide rod 51, so as to achieve the effect of the first chair seat 3 and the second chair seat 4 being screwed and transmitted stably with the transmission shaft 2.

The first chair seat 3 further includes a first seat body 31, and the second chair seat 4 further includes a second seat body 41, and the first seat body 31 has a first recessed slot 311, and the second seat body 41 has a second recessed slot 411. The position limiting mechanism 5 further includes a mount 52 fixed onto the chair stand 1, and the mount 52 includes a base 521 and a wall 522 extended from the periphery of the base 521, and the transmission shaft 2 and the positioning guide rod 51 are positioned between both sides of the wall 522, and the mount 52 can be hidden into the first recessed slot 311 and the second recessed slot 411 to reduce the total volume of the chair 10 of the present invention chair 10 effectively, while maintaining the aesthetic appearance of the chair 10 of the present invention chair 10.

In addition, the chair 10 of the present invention further comprises an adjusting mechanism 6 coupled to the transmission shaft 2 and operated together with the transmission shaft 2. In this preferred embodiment, the adjusting mechanism 6 is a handwheel 61 integrally formed with the transmission shaft 2, and the handwheel 61 can be rotated to adjust the gap between the first chair seat 3 and the second chair seat 4 to achieve the effect of adjusting the width of the chair seat conveniently.

In addition, the first seat body 31 has a first hip-shaped cambered surface 314, and the second seat body 41 has a second hip-shaped cambered surface 414, and the first hip-shaped cambered surface 314 and the second hip-shaped cambered surface 414 come with a design of attaching to a human buttock closely, so that a user can sit on the chair 10 ergonomically and comfortably.

Compared with the conventional chair seat with a horizontal surface and causing the force provided by the chair seat for supporting the user's weight to be concentrated at the bottom of the user's buttock the present invention has a first hip-shaped cambered surface 314 and a second hip-shaped cambered surface 414 with the design of attaching a human buttock closely, and the gap between the first chair seat 3 and the second chair seat 4 can be adjusted, so that the supporting forces provided by the first chair seat 3 and the second chair seat 4 support the user's weight at the periphery, both sides, and the bottom of the user's buttock uniformly, so as to further improve the effects of hip shaping, pelvic correction and sitting posture correction.

In addition, the present invention chair 10 further comprises two pads 71 fixed to the first seat body 31 and the second seat body 41 respectively to enhance the softness of the first seat body 31 and the second seat body 41, and inner surfaces of the two pads 71 have a hip-shaped recessed area 711 with the design of attaching a human buttock closely, so that the chair 10 of the present invention has the features of comfortable sitting, ergonomic design, hip shaping, pelvic correction and sitting posture correction.

With reference to FIG. 7 for a chair in accordance with another preferred embodiment of the present invention, the adjusting mechanism 6 is a motor drive assembly 62 capable of driving the transmission shaft 2 to rotate, so that the motor drive assembly 62 can be turned on to adjust the gap between the first chair seat 3 and the second chair seat 4, so that the present invention chair 10 has the advantages of adjusting the width of the chair seat conveniently.

In addition, the chair 10 of the present invention further comprises a battery 8 electrically coupled to the motor drive assembly 62 to avoid the limitation of a power cable of the chair 10 of the present invention, so that the chair 10 can be moved to any place in a room conveniently, and the present invention chair 10 can provide convenient use and disposition.

With reference to FIG. 7 for a chair in accordance with a further preferred embodiment of the present invention, the chair 10 further comprises a backrest 91 and a pair of armrests 92, and the backrest 91 is coupled to the chair stand 1 and disposed on a side of the first chair seat 3 and the second chair seat 4, and the two armrests 92 are coupled to the chair stand 1 and disposed on both sides of the first chair seat 3 and the second chair seat 4 to improve the effect of sitting on the chair 10 of the present invention chair 10 comfortably.

In summation of the description above, the present invention achieves the expected objectives and overcomes the drawbacks of the related art, and the invention complies with patent application requirements, and is thud duly filed for patent application.

While the invention has been described by means of specific embodiments, numerous modifications and variations could be made thereto by those skilled in the art without departing from the scope and spirit of the invention set forth in the claims.

Claims

1. A chair with a seat of adjustable length, comprising:

a chair stand (1);
a transmission shaft (2), mounted onto the chair stand (1), and being rotatable with respect to the chair stand (1), and having a left spiral thread (21) and a right spiral thread (22) in opposite directions formed on the exterior of the transmission shaft (2);
a first chair seat (3), sheathed on the transmission shaft (2), and screwed and rotated along the left spiral thread (21); and
a second chair seat (4), sheathed on the transmission shaft (2), and screwed and rotated along the right spiral thread (22);
such that the first chair seat (3) and the second chair seat (4) can be driven synchronously to approach or move away from one another.

2. The chair with a seat of adjustable length according to claim 1, further comprising a position limiting mechanism (5) for limiting the moving range of the first chair seat (3) and the second chair seat (4), and the position limiting mechanism (5) being coupled to the chair stand (1).

The chair with a seat of adjustable length according to claim 2, wherein the position limiting mechanism (5) includes at least one positioning guide rod (51) mounted onto the chair stand (1) and disposed on a side of the transmission shaft (2), and the first chair seat (3) and the second chair seat (4) are sheathed on the positioning guide rod (51) and slid along the positioning guide rod (51).

The chair with a seat of adjustable length according to claim 3, wherein the first chair seat (3) includes a first seat body (31) and a first actuating element (32) fixed to the bottom of the first seat body (31), and the first actuating element (32) has a first screw hole (321) and at least one first penetrating hole (322), and the second chair seat (4) includes a second seat body (41) and a second actuating element (42) fixed to the bottom of the second seat body (41), and the second actuating element (42) has a second screw hole (421) and at least one second penetrating hole (422), the left spiral thread (21) of the transmission shaft (2) is screwed with respect to the first screw hole (321) and the right spiral thread (22) is screwed with respect to the second screw hole (421), and the positioning guide rod (51) is passed and slid into the first penetrating hole (322) and the second penetrating hole (422).

The chair with a seat of adjustable length according to claim 4, wherein the position limiting mechanism (5) further includes a mount (52) mounted onto the chair stand (1) and having a base and a wall extended from the periphery of the base, and the transmission shaft (2) and the positioning guide rod (51) are posited between both sides of the wall, and the transmission shaft (2) is rotatable with respect to the mount (52).

The chair with a seat of adjustable length according to claim 5, wherein the first seat body (31) has a first recessed slot (311), and the second seat body (41) has a second recessed slot (411), and the first actuating element (32) is fixed to the bottom of the first recessed slot (311), and the second actuating element (42) is fixed to the bottom of the second recessed slot (411), and the mount can be hidden into the first recessed slot (311) and the second recessed slot (411).

7. The chair with a seat of adjustable length according to claim 1, further comprising an adjusting mechanism (6) coupled to the transmission shaft (2) and operated together with the transmission shaft (2).

8. The chair with a seat of adjustable length according to claim 7, wherein the adjusting mechanism (6) is a handwheel (61) integrally formed with the transmission shaft (2) and exposed from a side of one of the first chair seat (3) and the second chair seat (4).

9. The chair with a seat of adjustable length according to claim 7, wherein the adjusting mechanism (6) is a motor drive assembly (62) capable of driving the transmission shaft (2) to rotate.

10. The chair with a seat of adjustable length according to claim 9, further comprising a battery (8) electrically coupled to the motor drive assembly (62).

The chair with a seat of adjustable length according to claim 1, wherein the first chair seat (3) includes a first seat body (31), and the second chair seat (4) includes a second seat body (41), and the first seat body (31) has a first sitting portion (312), and the second seat body (41) has a second sitting portion (412), and a first abutting portion (313) and a second abutting portion (413) symmetrical to each other extended from sides of the external periphery of the first sitting portion (312) and the second sitting portion (412) respectively.

The chair with a seat of adjustable length according to claim 11, wherein the first sitting portion (312) and the first abutting portion (313) have an inner side with a first hip-shaped cambered surface (314), and the second sitting portion (412) and the second abutting portion (413) have an inner side with a second hip-shaped cambered surface (414).

13. The chair with a seat of adjustable length according to claim 11, further comprising two pads (71), one being fixed onto an internal surface of the first sitting portion (312) and the first abutting portion (313), and the other being fixed to an internal surface of the second sitting portion (412) and the second abutting portion (413).

14. The chair with a seat of adjustable length according to claim 13, wherein the two pads (71) have an internal surface with a hip-shaped recessed area.

15. The chair with a seat of adjustable length according to claim 1, further comprising an elevating mechanism (72) for adjusting an elevation of the chair stand (1), and the elevating mechanism (72) being coupled to the chair stand (1).

16. The chair with a seat of adjustable length according to claim 1, further comprising a backrest coupled to the chair stand (1) and disposed on a side corresponding to the first chair seat (3) and the second chair seat (4).

17. The chair with a seat of adjustable length according to claim 1, further comprising a pair of armrests coupled to the chair stand (1) and disposed on both sides of the first chair seat (3) and the second chair seat (4).
