The present invention relates to a low-wind-resistance rainproof silencer for chimney, which includes: a main body, formed with a hollow chamber, two lateral walls of the main body are respectively filled with a sound absorbing material, and inner sides of the two lateral walls are respectively formed with a first sound absorbing surface; a water collecting disc, formed in a conical status and disposed in the hollow chamber, formed with a rain blocking plate having a third opening with the bottom being connected to a water discharging pipe; and a base tube; accordingly, rainwater is able to be collected by the rain blocking plate and discharged out of the main body through the water discharging pipe; airflow discharged by the chimney is able to be silenced by the first sound absorbing surfaces thereby achieving a sound silencing effect.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a low-wind-resistance rainproof silencer for chimney, especially to a low-wind-resistance rainproof silencer for chimney wherein a main body thereof is filled with a sound absorbing material for achieving waterproof and sound silencing effects.

2. Description of Related Art

A chimney is commonly used in various industries for discharging wasted gas. Referring to FIG. 1a, which is a schematic view illustrating a conventional rainproof chimney. As shown in FIG. 1a, a conventional rainproof chimney includes a tubular body 100, an engaging flange 110, a chimney 120 and a rainproof cover 130. The engaging flange 110 is served to engage the tubular body 100 and the chimney 120, and the rainproof cover 130 is disposed above the tubular body 100 for preventing rainwater from entering the chimney 120.

Referring to FIG. 1b, which is a schematic view illustrating the airflow flowing direction of the conventional rainproof chimney. As shown in FIG. 1b, when the conventional chimney discharges wasted gas, the airflow discharged by the chimney 120 passes the engaging flange 110 for entering the tubular body 100 so as to be discharged to be exterior, however the airflow would be blocked by the rainproof cover 130 thereby being forced to be discharged from two sides of the rainproof cover 130. The rainproof cover 130 can be served to prevent rainwater from entering the chimney 120, but the straightly-oriented airflow flowing path is blocked thereby causing pressure lost, so the performance of a blower (not shown) would be affected, and the noise would be reflected back to the ground thereby increasing the total noise volume.

In view of the disadvantages existed in the conventional rainproof chimney, the present invention provides a low-wind-resistance rainproof silencer for chimney for improving the above-mentioned disadvantages.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

One objective of the present invention is to provide a low-wind-resistance rainproof silencer for chimney, wherein a main body thereof is filled with a sound absorbing material thereby achieving a sound silencing effect.

Another objective of the present invention is to provide a low-wind-resistance rainproof silencer for chimney, wherein a water collecting disc is disposed in a main body, the water collecting disc includes a water discharging pipe, rainwater collected by the water collecting disc is able to be discharged out of a chimney through the water discharging pipe thereby achieving a waterproof effect.

One another objective of the present invention is to provide a low-wind-resistance rainproof silencer for chimney, wherein the cross section area of a first opening formed on a main body is smaller than the cross section area of a water collecting disc thereby ensuring most of the rainwater to be collected by the water collecting disc so as to be discharged out of a chimney, thereby providing a waterproof effect.

Still one another objective of the present invention is to provide a low-wind-resistance rainproof silencer for chimney, wherein a water collecting disc is provided with a sound absorbing material thereby further achieving a sound silencing effect.

For achieving said objectives, the present invention provides a low-wind-resistance rainproof silencer for chimney, which includes: a main body, formed with a hollow chamber, one end of the hollow chamber is formed with a first opening, the other end thereof is formed with a second opening; a water collecting disc, formed in a conical status and disposed in the hollow chamber, the top thereof is formed with a rain blocking plate, the rain blocking plate is formed with a third opening, the bottom of the third opening is connected to a water discharging pipe, one end section of the water discharging pipe is exposed outside the main body through the second opening, wherein the cross section area of the rain blocking plate is larger than the cross section area of the first opening; and a base tube, disposed at the bottom of the main body and connected to the main body through the second opening, another end of the base tube is connected to a chimney; accordingly, rainwater is able to be collected by the rain blocking plate and discharged out of the main body through the water discharging pipe thereby achieving a waterproof effect.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

Referring from FIG. 2 to FIG. 4, wherein FIG. 2 is an exploded view illustrating the low-wind-resistance rainproof silencer for chimney according to one preferred embodiment of the present invention; FIG. 3 is a schematic view illustrating the assembly of the low-wind-resistance rainproof silencer for chimney according to one preferred embodiment of the present invention; and FIG. 4 is a cross sectional view illustrating the assembly of the low-wind-resistance rainproof silencer for chimney according to one preferred embodiment of the present invention.

As shown in figures, the low-wind-resistance rainproof silencer for chimney provided by the present invention includes a main body 10, a water collecting disc 20 and a base tube 30.

The main body 10 is e.g. but not limited to be made of a metal or a plastic material, and formed with a hollow chamber 11, one end of the hollow chamber 11 is formed with a first opening 12 and the other end thereof is formed with a second opening 13, two lateral walls of the main body 10 are formed in a hollow status and respectively filled with a sound absorbing material 14, and inner sides of the two lateral walls are respectively formed with a first sound absorbing surface 15, wherein, the sound absorbing material 14 is e.g. but not limited to sound absorbing cottons. In addition, the main body 10 is e.g. but not limited to be formed in a cylindrical status, and the substantial central portion thereof is formed with a maximum cross section area. The cross section area of the first opening 12 is the same as the cross section area of the second opening 13.

In addition, the first sound absorbing surface 15 is further formed with a plurality of micro holes 16, the micro holes 16 are able to guide the airflow discharged by a chimney into the sound absorbing material 14 thereby achieving a sound silencing effect.

The water collecting disc 20 is formed in a conical status and disposed in the hollow chamber 11, the top thereof is formed with a rain blocking plate 21, the rain block plate 21 is formed with a third opening 23, the bottom of the third opening 23 is connected to a water discharging pipe 24, one end section of the water discharging pipe 24 is exposed outside the main body 10 through the second opening 13, wherein the cross section area of the rain blocking plate 21 is larger than the cross section area of the first opening 12, the cross section area of the rain blocking plate 21 is e.g. but not limited to be 1.2 times larger than the cross section area of the first opening 12, thereby allowing most of the rainwater entering from the first opening 12 to be collected by the rain blocking plate 21, and two sides of the water collecting disc 20 and the main body 10 are respectively formed with a first passageway 25 and a second passageway 26. Wherein, the rain blocking plate 21 is formed in a conical status, and inclined towards the center for enhancing the rainwater collecting performance.

Wherein, beside the space occupied by the water discharging pipe 24, the water collecting disc 20 is filled with a sound absorbing material 27, and two sides of the water collecting disc 20 are respectively formed with a second sound absorbing surface 28; wherein, the sound absorbing material 27 is e.g. but not limited to sound absorbing cottons.

In addition, the second sound absorbing surface 28 is further formed with a plurality of micro holes 29, the micro holes 29 are able to guide the airflow discharged by the chimney into the sound absorbing material 27 thereby achieving the sound silencing effect.

The base tube 30 is disposed at the bottom of the main body 10, and connected to the main body 10 through the second opening 13, and one end of the base tube 30 is connected to a chimney 60; wherein, the base tube 30 is e.g. but not limited to a metal tube. In addition, an engaging flange 40 is provided for connecting the base tube 30 and the chimney 60.

Moreover, the low-wind-resistance rainproof silencer for chimney provided by the present invention further includes a securing rack 50 disposed between the main body 10 and the base tube 30, the securing rack 50 is e.g. but not limited to be made of a metal material, and formed in a hollow status, thereby allowing the rainwater to pass the first passageway 25 and the second passageway 26 and flow downwardly so as to be discharged out of the main body 10 through the securing rack 50; the airflow discharged by the chimney 60 can be silenced by the first sound absorbing surfaces 15 and the second sound absorbing surfaces 28 for achieving the sound silencing effect.

Accordingly, after the low-wind-resistance rainproof silencer for chimney provided by the present invention is assembled, most of the rainwater entering from the first opening 12 can be collected by the rain blocking plate 21 then discharged out of the main body 10 through the water discharging pipe 24, a small amount of the rainwater passes the first passageway 25 and the second passageway 26 and is discharged out of the main body 10 through the water discharging pipe 24; as such, a waterproof effect is provided. In addition, the airflow discharged by the chimney 60 can be silenced by the first sound absorbing surfaces 15 and the second sound absorbing surfaces 28 for achieving the sound silencing effect. Accordingly, the low-wind-resistance rainproof silencer for chimney provided by the present invention is novel and more practical in use comparing to the conventional rainproof chimney.

Referring to FIG. 5, which is a schematic view illustrating the rainwater flowing direction of the low-wind-resistance rainproof silencer for chimney according to one preferred embodiment of the present invention. As shown in FIG. 5, wherein arrows shown in FIG. 5 are served to indicate the rainwater flowing direction, most of the straightly-falling rainwater enters the main body 10 through the first opening 12 and is collected by the rain blocking plate 21 then discharged out of the main body 10 through the water discharging pipe 24, a small amount of the obliquely-falling rainwater falls on the first sound absorbing surfaces 15 and the second sound absorbing surfaces 28 then downwardly flows through the first passageway 25 and the second passageway 26, then is discharged out of the main body 10 through the second opening 13. Accordingly, the waterproof effect is provided.

Referring to FIG. 6, which is a schematic view illustrating the airflow flowing direction of the low-wind-resistance rainproof silencer for chimney according to one preferred embodiment of the present invention. As shown in FIG. 6, wherein arrows shown in FIG. 6 are served to indicate the airflow flowing direction, the airflow discharged by the chimney 60 enters the main body 10 through the second opening 13, because the substantial central portion of the main body 10 is formed with maximum cross section area, wind resistance generated due to the airflow entering the main body 10 is very small, after the airflow passes the first passageway 25 and the second passageway 26, the airflow is respectively guided by the plural micro holes 16, 29 formed on the first sound absorbing surfaces 15 and the second sound absorbing surface 28 for being introduced into the sound absorbing materials 14, 27 so as to be silenced by the sound absorbing materials 14, 27, then discharged out of the main body 10 through the first opening 12. Accordingly, the low-wind-resistance rainproof silencer for chimney provided by the present invention would not block the airflow flowing path, and no pressure lost is generated, moreover no waterproof cover is installed, so noise would not be reflected back to the ground thereby reducing the total noise volume. As such, the sound silencing effect is effectively provided.

Based on what has been disclosed above, the low-wind-resistance rainproof silencer for chimney provided by the present invention is filled with the sound absorbing material in the main body thereby effectively achieving the sound silencing effect.

One objective of the present invention is to provide a low-wind-resistance rainproof silencer for chimney, wherein a water collecting disc is disposed in a main body, the water collecting disc includes a water discharging pipe, rainwater collected by the water collecting disc is able to be discharged out of the chimney through the water discharging pipe, so a waterproof effect is provided; the cross section area of a first opening formed on the main body is smaller than the cross section area of the water collecting disc thereby ensuring most of the rainwater to be collected by the water collecting disc so as to be discharged out of the chimney, so a waterproof effect is provided; the water collecting disc is filled with a sound absorbing material thereby further achieving a sound silencing effect; accordingly, the low-wind-resistance rainproof silencer for chimney provided by the present invention is novel and more practical is use comparing to the conventional rainproof chimney.

Many modifications and other embodiments of the inventions set forth herein will come to mind to one skilled in the art to which these inventions pertain having the benefit of the teachings presented in the foregoing descriptions and the associated drawings. Therefore, it is to be understood that the inventions are not to be limited to the specific examples of the embodiments disclosed and that modifications and other embodiments are intended to be included within the scope of the appended claims. Although specific terms are employed herein, they are used in a generic and descriptive sense only and not for purposes of limitation.

Claims

1. A low-wind-resistance rainproof silencer for chimney, including:

a main body, formed with a hollow chamber, one end of said hollow chamber being formed with a first opening, the other end thereof being formed with a second opening;
a water collecting disc, formed in a conical status and disposed in said hollow chamber, the top thereof being formed with a rain blocking plate, said rain blocking plate being formed with a third opening, the bottom of said third opening being connected to a water discharging pipe, one end section of said water discharging pipe being exposed outside said main body through said second opening, wherein the cross section area of said rain blocking plate is larger than the cross section area of said first opening; and
a base tube, disposed at the bottom of said main body and connected to said main body through said second opening, another end of said base tube being connected to a chimney;
accordingly, rainwater being able to be collected by said rain blocking plate and discharged out of said main body through said water discharging pipe.

The low-wind-resistance rainproof silencer for chimney as claimed in claim 1, wherein the cross section area of said first opening is the same as the cross section area of said second opening, and the cross section area of said rain blocking plate is 1.2 times larger than the cross section area of said first opening.

The low-wind-resistance rainproof silencer for chimney as claimed in claim 1, wherein two lateral walls of said main body are respectively filled with a sound absorbing material, and inner sides of said two lateral walls are respectively formed with a first sound absorbing surface, airflow discharged by said chimney is able to be silenced by said first sound absorbing surfaces thereby achieving a sound silencing effect, wherein said sound absorbing material is sound absorbing cottons.

The low-wind-resistance rainproof silencer for chimney as claimed in claim 1, wherein said first sound absorbing surface is formed with a plurality of micro holes, said micro holes are able to guide the airflow discharged by said chimney into said sound absorbing material thereby achieving a sound silencing effect.

5. The low-wind-resistance rainproof silencer for chimney as claimed in claim 4, wherein said rain blocking plate is formed in a conical status, and inclined towards the center for enhancing the rainwater collecting performance.

The low-wind-resistance rainproof silencer for chimney as claimed in claim 1, wherein beside the space occupied by said water discharging pipe, said water collecting disc is filled with a sound absorbing material, and two sides of said water collecting disc are respectively formed with a second sound absorbing surface, wherein said sound absorbing material is sound absorbing cottons.

The low-wind-resistance rainproof silencer for chimney as claimed in claim 6, wherein said second sound absorbing surface is formed with a plurality of micro holes, said micro holes are able to guide the airflow discharged by said chimney into said sound absorbing material thereby achieving the sound silencing effect.

8. The low-wind-resistance rainproof silencer for chimney as claimed in claim 1, wherein two sides of said water collecting disc and said main body are respectively formed with a first passageway and a second passageway.

The low-wind-resistance rainproof silencer for chimney as claimed in claim 1, further including a securing rack disposed between said main body and said base tube, said securing rack is formed in a hollow status, thereby allowing the rainwater to pass said first passageway and said second passageway and flow downwardly so as to be discharged out of said main body through said securing rack.

10. The low-wind-resistance rainproof silencer for chimney as claimed in claim 1, further including an engaging flange disposed between said base tube and said chimney.
