DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

Embodiments of the present invention will now be described, by way of example only, with reference to the accompanying drawings.

As shown in FIG. 1 to FIG. 3, the tent according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises a tent frame 1 and a tent cloth 2 secured on the tent frame 1.

The tent frame 1 is composed of a plurality of support pole assemblies. One end of each support pole assembly is pivotally connected to a top module seat 11, and the other end of each support pole assembly is disposed on the ground. Each support pole assembly comprises a top support pole 12, a bottom support pole 13, and a joint 14 connected between the top support pole 12 and the bottom support pole 13. As shown in FIG. 2B and FIG. 3A, the joint 14 comprises a joint head 141 connected at the top end of the bottom support pole 13. The outer side of the joint head 141 is provided with a pivot seat 142. The bottom end of the top support pole 12 is pivotally connected to the pivot seat 142. In order to position the unfolded angle when the top support pole 12 and the bottom support pole 13 are unfolded, the top of the joint head 141 has a support inclined surface 143 located beside the pivot seat 142. When the tent is unfolded, the top support pole 12 is held on the support inclined surface 143. For the top support pole 12 to be held on the support inclined surface 143 stably, the joint 14 further comprises a connecting sleeve 144 fitted on the bottom end of the top support pole 12. Through the connecting sleeve 144, the top support pole 12 is pivotally connected to the pivot seat 142 of the joint head 141 and held on the support inclined surface 143. The connecting sleeve 144 has a flat surface 145 to mate with the support inclined surface 143 when the tent is unfolded.

The bottom support pole 13 is composed of an inner pipe 131 and an outer pipe 132. As shown in FIG. 2C and FIG. 3B, the inner pipe 131 and the outer pipe 132 are retractable each other and connected through a positioning configuration 15. The positioning configuration 15 comprises an elastic protrusion 151 disposed in the inner pipe 131 and an end sleeve 152 fixed at the end of the outer pipe 132. The inner pipe 131 and the outer pipe 132 have positioning holes 133, 134 for the elastic protrusion 151 to pass therethrough. The end sleeve 152 has an elastic button 153 thereon relative to the positioning hole 134 of the outer pipe 132. When the bottom support pole 13 is unfolded, the inner pipe 131 will extend out from the outer pipe 132. When the elastic protrusion 151 is aligned with the positioning hole 134 of the outer pipe 132, the elastic protrusion 151 will extend out of the positioning hole 134 to position the inner pipe 131 and the outer pipe 132 in an extended state. When the user wants to fold the tent, the elastic protrusion 151 is pressed into the outer pipe 132 to release the positioned state. The inner pipe 131 is retracted into the outer pipe 132 to shorten the bottom support pole 13.

In order to reduce the volume of the tent after folded, the top support pole 12 may adopt the retractable structure of the bottom support pole 13 composed of the inner pipe and the outer pipe, namely, the top support pole 12 is composed of an inner pipe 121 and an outer pipe 122. The inner pipe 121 and the outer pipe 122 are retractable each other and connected through a positioning configuration 15, referring to FIG. 2A.

To fold the tent of the present invention, as shown in FIG. 4, the bottom support pole 13 of each support pole assembly is first shortened, as shown in

FIG. 5. Afterward, the top support pole 12 of each support pole assembly is shortened, as shown in FIG. 6. After that, the bottom support pole 13 is folded upward and closed toward the top support pole 12, as shown in FIG. 7. Finally, the top support poles 12 along with the bottom support poles 13 are turned upward about the top module seat 11 for the support pole assemblies close each other, as shown in FIG. 8, to fold the tent accordingly. The tent cloth is not shown in the drawings. The tent cloth can be folded along with the tent frame 1, or it can be detached from the tent frame 1 before the tent frame 1 is folded. To unfold the tent, the operation is done reversely.

Although particular embodiments of the present invention have been described in detail for purposes of illustration, various modifications and enhancements may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention. Accordingly, the present invention is not to be limited except as by the appended claims.
