DIVING EQUIPMENT
A diving equipment includes an inflatable body including a first gas inlet, a gas outlet and an inner space; a gas filling device including a power supply unit and a first gas filling unit connected to the power supply unit; a first conduit having one end connected to the first gas filling unit and another end connected to the first gas inlet; and a discharging device connected to the gas inlet. The first gas filling unit provides gas to the inflatable body and the discharging device discharges gas from the inflatable body, whereby a user can breathe normally under water and can stay in water for a long time.
The invention relates to a diving equipment, and more particularly to a diving equipment allowing a user to breathe under water normally and stay in water for a long time.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTIONAs modern people needs relaxation, some leisure activities such as hiking, riding bicycle, boating, diving or snorkeling are more and more valued. Particularly, the diving and the snorkeling are very popular. People go diving or snorkeling to explore beautiful underwater world and see all kinds of coral reefs and fishes.
The diving and snorkeling have advantages and disadvantages respectively. When people go diving, they can go to a deeper place under water but need a complete diving equipment. Purchase or rental of a diving equipment often costs much money, and the diving equipment is so heavy and weight that it is inconvenient to carry. On the contrary, when people go snorkeling, although they can only go to a shallow place, the equipment for snorkeling is simple and often need only a mask and a snorkel. However, the length of the snorkel limits the diving depth, and water may enter the snorkel to choke a user.
In addition, whether diving or snorkeling, a user must breathe through his/her mouth. For a user who is not accustomed to mouth breathing or unable to breathe through mouth, this may cause fear or psychological pressure, and accidents may happen in such a condition.
There are many disadvantages of the conventional diving equipment, and improvement or modification is thus necessary.

The invention can be more fully understood by reading the subsequent detailed description and examples with references made to the accompanying drawings, wherein:
The following description is of the best-contemplated mode of carrying out the invention. This description is made for the purpose of illustrating the general principles of the invention and should not be taken in a limiting sense. The scope of the invention is best determined by reference to the appended claims.
Referring to
The inflatable body 20 further includes a head cover portion 21 and a body cover portion 22. Each of the head cover portion 21 and the body cover portion 22 has an inner space for accommodation the user. The head cover portion 21 covers the user's head, and the body cover portion 22 covers the user's body. The head cover portion 21 has a space where the user can breathe. The first gas inlet 211 is disposed in the head cover portion 21, and the gas outlet 221 is disposed in the body cover portion 22. The head cover portion 21 has a connecting end, and the body cover portion 22 has a corresponding connecting end. The corresponding connecting end is connected to the connecting end through an engagement structure, a zipper or adhesive. The body cover portion 22 further includes a heating unit (not shown). The power supply unit 11 provides electrical power to the heating unit. A user can operate an operational unit 222 to control the heating unit which provides heat for the user to maintain his/her temperature and prevent rapid body temperature drop. The inflatable body 20 further includes a wireless communication unit 225. The user can communicate a remote terminal through the wireless communication unit 225 under water. As shown in
In another embodiment, the inflatable body 20 is a rubber structure which is elastic so that the head cover portion 21 and the body cover portion 22 can be integrated as one piece. A third conduit 23 is disposed between the head cover portion 21 and the body cover portion 22. The third conduit 23 has one end connected to the head cover portion 21 and another end connected to the gas outlet 221 of body cover portion 22. The gas in the head cover portion 21 is discharged out of the inflatable body 20 by the discharging device 30 through the third conduit 23 and the gas outlet 221.
The operational unit 222 controls the power supply unit 11 and the discharging device 30. The operational unit 222 also controls air flow rate of the first gas filling unit 12. When a user turn on the power supply unit 11 through the operational unit 222, the power supply unit 11 provide power to the first gas filling unit 12. Afterwards, the user controls the air flow rate of the first gas filling unit 12 also through the operational unit 222. Air is transferred into the head cover portion 21 through the first conduit 13 and the first gas inlet 211 for the user. When the user breathes in the head cover portion 21, carbon dioxide is generated in the head cover portion 21. The user can start the discharging device 30 to discharge gas including the generated carbon dioxide in the head cover portion 21 to outer environment through the third conduit 23 and the gas outlet 221.
The power supply unit 11 further includes a cable 40 connected to the inflatable body 20. The power supply unit 11 provides electrical power to the operational unit 222, the wireless communication unit 225 and heating unit in the inflatable body 20 through the cable 40. The power supply unit 11 also provides electrical power to the discharging device 30.
The gas filling device 10 further includes at least one positioning unit 16 electrically connected to the power supply unit 11 and at least one driving unit 17 electrically connected to the power supply unit 11. The power supply unit 11 also provides electrical power to the positioning unit 16 and the driving unit 17. In this embodiment, the positioning unit 16 is a sonar, and the driving unit 17 is a propelling device. The positioning unit 16 is configured to detect a position of the user and transmit a positioning signal to the driving unit 17. When the driving unit 17 receives the positioning signal, the driving unit 17 moves the gas filling device 10 towards the user. The positioning unit 16 and the driving unit 17 can be controlled by the operational unit 222.
Referring to
The operational unit 222 can also control gas flow rate of the second gas filling unit 14. When a user turns on the power supply unit 11 through the operational unit 222, the power supply unit 11 provides electrical power to the second gas filling unit 14. Afterwards, the gas flow rate of the second gas filling unit 14 is controlled through the operational unit 222, and gas flows into the inflation space 224 through the second conduit 15 and the second gas inlet 223. When the inflation space 224 expands to a specific volume, the user is floated upwards due to buoyant force. On the contrary, when the user controls the second gas filling unit 14 to discharge the gas in the inflation space 224, the inflation space 224 shrinks and the user sinks downwards.
In addition, the gas filling device 10 of the diving equipment 1 is a floating body, whereby the power supply unit 11, the first gas filling unit 12 or the second gas filling unit 14 can float on the water or has water-proof function, and load on the user is thus reduced but activity range is not limited.
Referring to
The diving equipment of the invention includes inflatable body, a gas filling device and a discharging device to allow a user to breathe normally under water without worrying about the choking problem so that the fear for diving in the water is thus reduced.
While the invention has been described by way of example and in terms of preferred embodiment, it is to be understood that the invention is not limited thereto. To the contrary, it is intended to cover various modifications and similar arrangements (as would be apparent to those skilled in the art). Therefore, the scope of the appended claims should be accorded the broadest interpretation so as to encompass all such modifications and similar arrangements.
