IDENTIFYING INDICIA FOR BEVERAGE CONTAINERS
A beverage container comprises a label. The label includes sections that are designed to be selectively removed. A plurality of indicia associated with the sections identify the removed sections.
Water bottles and other beverage containers are often freely distributed during gatherings of people. When many beverage containers are set down in a gathering of people, it is sometimes difficult to remember or identify which beverage container belongs to whom. When there are marking pens available, individual beverage containers can be marked to identify to whom the beverage belongs. However, marking pens are not always available
A row of indicia 14 is placed in close proximity to perforated sections 13, so that each perforated section is adjacent to a character or some other identifying indicium so that when a perforated section is removed the identifying indicium adjacent to the perforated section identifies the removed section. For example, the indicia is composed of characters (such as letters or numbers) or other types of indicia such as shapes and/or colors.
For example, a combination of perforated sections can be removed to provide a unique identification. For example, an owner of beverage container 11 can intentionally remove perforated sections so that he will recognize beverage container 11 either by the perforated sections that have been removed or by the perforated sections that remain.
For example, a combination of scratch-off sections can be scratched off to provide a unique identification for beverage container 21. For example, an owner of beverage container 21 can intentionally remove scratch-off sections so that he will recognize beverage container 21 either by the scratch-off sections that have been removed or by the scratch-off sections that remain.
Alternative to using scratch-off sections, scratchable sections can be used. For example, each scratchable section has an opaque covering. Each opaque covering can be scratched off to reveal an underlying indicium. An owner of beverage container 21 can remove the opaque coverings on a combination of scratchable sections to uniquely identify beverage container 21.
