Description
TECHNICAL FIELD

The present invention relates to a garment provided with cup sections.

BACKGROUND ART

Garments provided with cup sections represented by bras conventionally have a problem of enhancing plasticity of breasts or wearing feeling. For example in a bra described in Patent Literature 1, by sewing a piece of cloth having suppressed elongation on a front side of a cup section, both of plasticity of breasts and wearing feeling are enhanced. With such a garment provided with cup sections, there are apparent demands of consumers for wearing a bra that snugly fits the breasts of the consumers.

Currently, when a consumer purchases a garment provided with cup sections, the consumer can try on the garment provided with cup sections at storefront in most cases. However, a consumer may feel bothered to try on the garment provided with cup sections and purchase the garment without fitting. Considering such circumstances, the present applicants conducted a survey on approximately 10,000 consumers, a result of which showed that a ratio of consumers who purchase a garment provided with cup sections without fitting is 60% while a ratio of consumers who feels that a garment provided with cups fits the breasts of the consumers is 40%. From this result, relatively a large number of consumers are estimated to be wearing a garment provided with cup sections that does not fit the breasts of the consumers (inappropriate size).

CITATION LIST Patent Literature

Patent Literature 1: Japanese Unexamined Patent Publication No, 2002-115105

SUMMARY OF INVENTION Technical Problem

Wearing a garment provided with cup sections of inappropriate size may result in a problem in a state of breasts. For example, when a wearer with breasts of B70 wears a garment provided with cup sections of C70, there may be a space between a breast top part and the cup section or an upper hem of the cup section or an upper cup section may not be in contact with the breast. Alternatively, for example, when a wearer with breasts of D70 wears a garment provided with cup sections of C70, the breast may not fully fit into the cup section and an upper edge portion of the cup section may bite into the breast.

Also, there may be a problem with how to wear a garment provided with cup sections when a wearer wears the garment provided with cup sections by herself (self-fitting). In self-fitting, there are tendencies of not paying attention to a lower end of the breast when the breast is fitted into a cup section or tendencies of fitting only an upper portion of the breast into a side of the cup section. Therefore, there are cases where plasticity of the garment provided with cup sections is not exercised as intended by design.

With these problems, a method of instructing correct size selection and a correct wearing method to consumers at storefront or the like is employed. However, for example as illustrated in FIG. 13, sizes of existing garments provided with cup sections (here, examples of B70, C70, and D70 are illustrated) are limited relative to two parameters of a breast volume and a barge scan line width (distance between a front center end point and a side end point of a cup curve line). Furthermore as long as there are a certain ratio of consumers who purchase a garment provided with cup sections without fitting as shown by the survey result, it is necessary that a garment provided with cup sections itself has size applicability and plasticity according to an actual state of size selection and wearing methods of consumers.

The present invention has been devised in order to solve the above problems with an object of providing a garment provided with cup sections having size applicability and plasticity.

Solution to Problem

In order to solve the above problems, a garment provided with cup sections according to the present invention includes: a first part on a front side including a pair of cup sections and a front side base section to support a lower edge portion side of the cup section; and a second part on a skin side including a pair of pad sections and a skin side base section to support a lower edge portion side of the pad section, where a side portion of the front side base section and a side portion of the skin side base section are connected and thereby the first part and the second part are coupled to each other.

In this garment provided with cup sections, connecting the side portion of the front side base section and the side portion of the skin side base section allows for coupling the first part and the second part to each other. Therefore, the first part is movable upward, downward, forward, and backward relative to the second part, thus allowing a cup length and a cup width to be variable for breasts of different sizes, thereby allowing for adjusting a silhouette. Also, since the cup section and the pad section are separated, the pad section can easily fit to a lower end of the breast without influence of the cup section and thus a plasticity function for the breast of the pad section is preferably exercised. Therefore, in this garment provided with cup sections, both of size applicability and plasticity can be sufficiently obtained.

Moreover, it is preferable that a front center of the front side base section and a front center of the skin side base section are further connected. In this case, stability of breasts can be enhanced.

Furthermore, it is preferable that an upper edge portion of the pad section is connected to an upper edge portion and a side edge portion of the cup section by an elastic member. In this case, stability of breasts can be enhanced. Using the elastic member as a connecting member also allows for avoiding inhibiting movement of the first part relative to the second part.

It is further preferable that the front side base section and the skin side base section are connected by an elastic member. In this case, stability of breasts can be enhanced. Using the elastic member as a connecting member also allows for avoiding inhibiting movement of the first part relative to the second part.

Moreover, it is preferable that a back portion is provided to the side portion of the skin side base section and that a strap section is provided in such a manner as to connect the upper edge portion of the cup section and the back portion. In this case, pulling force applied from the strap section upon wearing allows for generating movement of the first part relative to the second part.

Furthermore, it is preferable that an underwire section is arranged along a lower edge portion of the pad section. This allows for firmly fitting the underwire section to the lower end of the breast, thus allowing for further enhancing the plasticity function for the breasts.

Advantageous Effects of Invention

A garment provided with cup sections according to the present invention allows for ensuring both of size applicability and plasticity.

DESCRIPTION OF EMBODIMENTS

Hereinafter, preferable embodiments of a garment provided with cup sections according to the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings.

FIG. 1 is a perspective view illustrating one embodiment of a garment provided with cup sections according to the present invention. As illustrated in FIG. 1, a garment provided with cup sections 1 is configured as a bra for women for example. This garment provided with cup sections 1 includes a pair of cup sections 2, a base section 3 provided on a lower edge portion 2c side of the cup section 2, back portions 4 each extending from each sides of the base section 3 to a back side, and strap sections 5 each connecting the cup section 2 and the back portion 4.

The cup section 2 has a bowl shape corresponding to a shape of the breast of a wearer. For cloth on a skin side of the cup section 2, a material having a certain shape retaining property and elasticity such as non-woven fabric or foamed polyurethane is used. For cloth on a front side of the cup section 2, a material such as woven fabric or knitted fabric of a synthetic fiber or a natural fiber is used. An upper edge portion 2a of the cup section 2 is bent upward approximately at a center part thereof in such a manner as to extend along an upper portion of the breast, for example. Also, a side edge portion 2b of the cup section 2 is gently bent toward the center thereof to avoid interrupting movement of the arm. A lower edge portion 2c of the cup section 2 is bent downward to match a barge scan line of the breast.

On the skin side of the cup section 2, a pad section 6 having a plasticity function such as pushing up, pulling together, and protruding the breasts is arranged. A front side of the pad section 6 has a bowl shape corresponding to a shape of a lower side of the cup section 2. The pad section 6 is formed by, for example, a material including urethane-based foamed resin wrapped by a thin material with nice and soft touch such as half tricot.

An upper edge portion 6a of the pad section 6 is bent in a concave shape at a portion corresponding to a breast top while both sides thereof are bent upward in convex shapes. Also, a side of the upper edge portion 6a of the pad section 6 extends inward from the side edge portion 2b with a predetermined interval from the side edge portion 2b of the cup section 2. A lower edge portion 6b of the pad section 6 has substantially the same shape as that of the lower edge portion 2c of the cup section 2 and is arranged to substantially match the lower edge portion 2c.

The lower edge portion 6b of the pad section 6 is further provided with an underwire section 7. The underwire section 7 is configured by, for example, filling an underwire member that serves as a core material into a bias tape. As the underwire member, for example a metal or resin is used. As the bias tape, a soft material such as woven fabric or knitted fabric is used.

The base section 3 includes a front side base section 13 (see FIG. 2) to support the lower edge portion 2c side of the cup section 2 and a skin side base section 14 (see FIG. 3) to support the lower edge portion 6b of the pad section 6. The front side base section 13 is formed by, for example, a material such as woven fabric or knitted fabric of a synthetic fiber or a natural fiber similar to that of the cloth on the front side of the cup section 2 and is sewn on the lower edge portion 2c of the cup section 2. The skin side base section 14 is formed by, for example, a material such as woven fabric or knitted fabric having elasticity (especially elasticity in a horizontal direction) such as bare jersey and is sewn on the lower edge portion 6b of the pad section 6. An upper edge portion 3a of the base section 3 has a bent shape to extend along the lower edge portion 2c of the cup section 2 and the lower edge portion 6b of the pad section 6.

The back portion 4 is formed by, for example, a material having elasticity such as a power net. A base end side of the back portion 4 extends in a band-like manner from a side portion of the base section 3 in a continuous manner toward to a back side. An end section of the back portion 4 on the back side is provided with a hook 8. This hook 8 allows the back portions 4 on the right and left to be freely engaged or disengaged.

Incidentally, the lower edge portion 3b of the base section 3 may be provided with a finishing section formed by a material especially elastic in a longitudinal direction such as a stretch tape. Moreover, a similar finishing section may be provided over the side edge portion 2b of the cup section 2, an upper edge side portion 3c of the base section 3, and an upper edge portion 4a of the back portion 4. In this case, elasticity and restoration property of the base section 3 can be enhanced.

The strap section 5 is formed by a piece of cloth such as woven fabric formed into a strap shape and sewn. A material such as woven fabric used for the strap section 5 preferably has elasticity in a longitudinal direction. The strap section 5 is hung between the cup section 2 and the back portion 4, thereby forming a so-called bra strap. One end of the strap section 5 is connected to an upper side of the cup section 2 on the front side while the other end of the strap section 5 is connected an upper edge portion of the back portion 4 on the back side.

The garment provided with cup sections 1 configured in the above manner is formed by, more specifically, coupling of a first part 11 on the front side having a function of adjusting a silhouette of the breasts and a second part 12 on the skin side having a plasticity function for the breasts. In the present embodiment, both of the first part 11 and the second part 12 are cut sew types. As illustrated in FIG. 2, the first part 11 includes the pair of cup sections 2 and the front side base section 13. Meanwhile, as illustrated in FIG. 3, the second part 12 includes the pair of pad sections 6, the underwire section 7, the skin side base section 14, and the back portion 4.

The first part 11 and the second part 12 are superposed such that the lower edge portion 2c of the cup section 2 and the lower edge portion 6b of the pad section 6 match and the front side base section 13 and the skin side base section 14 match. As illustrated in FIG. 1, the first part 11 and the second part 12 are further coupled to each other by a sewing line L1 where a side portion 13a of the front side base section 13 and a side portion 14a of the skin side base section 14 are sewn together and a sewing line L2 where a front center of the front side base section 13 and a front center of the skin side base section 14 are sewn together.

As a result of such a sewing configuration, although the lower edge portion 6b of the pad section 6 substantially matches the lower edge portion 2c of the cup section 2 in the first part 11 and the second part 12, the cup section 2 and the pad section 6 are free from the other (not sewn together). Moreover, the front side base section 13 and the skin side base section 14 are free from the other (not sewn together) except for parts sewn together at the sewing line L1 and the sewing line L2. Incidentally, the sewing line L1 is not necessary sewn from an upper end to a lower end of the side portion 13a of the front side base section 13 and the side portion 14a of the skin side base section 14 but may be sewn at a part within the upper end and the lower end thereof. Likewise, the sewing line L2 is not necessary sewn from an upper end to a lower end of the front center of the front side base section 13 and the front center of the skin side base section 14 but may be sewn at a part within the upper end and the lower end thereof.

In the present embodiment, as illustrated in FIG. 1, the upper edge portion 6a of the pad section 6 and the upper edge portion 2a and the side edge portion 2b of the cup section 2 are connected by a connecting member 15 having elasticity such as a power net. The connecting member 15 has a shape corresponding to a remaining region where the pad section 6 is not superposed on the skin side of the cup section 2. The connecting member 15 is sewn on the cup section 2 and the pad section 6 at a sewing line L3 extending along the upper edge portion 6a of the pad section 6 and a sewing line L4 extending along the upper edge portion 2a and the side edge portion 2b of the cup section 2. Incidentally, the connecting member 15 may be provided in advance to any one of the first part 11 and the second part 12.

Next, effects of the garment provided with cup sections 1 will be described.

In the garment provided with cup sections 1, as described above, the first part 11 and the second part 12 are coupled to each other by sewing the side portion 13a of the front side base section 13 and the side portion 14a of the skin side base section 14 together and sewing the front center of the front side base section 13 and the front center of the skin side base section 14 together. Meanwhile, the cup section 2 and the pad section 6 are free from the other. The front side base section 13 and the skin side base section 14 are also free from the other except for the parts sewn together at the sewing line L1 and the sewing line L2.

Therefore, the first part 11 is movable upward, downward, forward, and backward relative to the second part 12, thus allowing a cup length and a cup width to be variable for breasts of different sizes in the first part 11, thereby allowing for preferably adjusting a silhouette of the breast. Also, since the cup section 2 and the pad section 6 are separated, the pad section 6 can easily fit to the lower end of the breast without being influenced by the cup section 2 in the second part 12 and thus the plasticity function for the breast by the pad section 6 is preferably exercised. Therefore, in this garment provided with cup sections 1, both of size applicability and plasticity can be sufficiently obtained.

With regard to size applicability of the garment provided with cup sections 1, for the cup section 2 to fit to the breast of the wearer, it is important that the upper edge portion 2a of the cup section 2 is in contact with the breast and that the upper edge portion 2a of the cup section 2 does not excessively press the breast.

When a size of the breast is smaller than a size of the cup and if the cup section 2 and the pad section 6 are fixed to each other as in a conventional garment provided with cup sections 1, as illustrated in FIG. 4(a), there may be a space between the breast top part and the cup section 2 or the upper edge portion 2a of the cup section 2 may not be in contact with the breast. Contrary to this, in the garment provided with cup sections 1 according to the present embodiment, as illustrated in FIG. 4(b), the first part 11 is movable upward relative to the second part 12. As a result, the upper edge portion 2a of the cup section 2 moves toward the skin side and extends along the upper portion of the breast, thereby allowing for suppressing that the upper edge portion 2a of the cup section 2 is not in contact with the breast.

When a size of the breast is larger than a size of the cup and if the cup section 2 and the pad section 6 are fixed to each other as in the conventional garment provided with cup sections 1, as illustrated in FIG. 5(a), the breast may not fully fit in the cup section 2 and the upper edge portion 2a of the cup section 2 may bite into the upper portion of the breast. Contrary to this, in the garment provided with cup sections 1 according to the present embodiment, as illustrated in FIG. 5(b), the first part 11 is movable forward relative to the second part 12. This allows for fitting the breast with a large volume into the cup section 2. The first part 11 can further move upward relative to the second part 12. This can also suppress the upper edge portion 2a of the cup section 2 from biting into the upper portion of the breast.

Moreover in the garment provided with cup sections 1, the front center of the front side base section 13 and the front center of the skin side base section 14 are connected to each other. This allows for enhancing stability of the breasts without deteriorating size applicability or plasticity. Also, in the garment provided with cup sections 1, the upper edge portion 6a of the pad section 6, and the upper edge portion 2a and the side edge portion 2b of the cup section 2 are connected by the connecting member 15 having elasticity. This allows for further enhancing stability of the breasts. Using an elastic member as the connecting member 15 also allows for avoiding inhibiting movement of the first part 11 relative to the second part 12.

Moreover, the garment provided with cup sections 1 is provided with the back portion 4 at the side portion 14a of the skin side base section 14 and is provided with the strap section 5 in such a manner as to connect the upper edge portion 2a of the cup section 2 and the back portion 4. Such a configuration allows the pulling force applied from the strap section 5 upon wearing to act on the cup section 2, thereby allowing for generating movement of the first part 11 relative to the second part 12. The action of the pulling force from the strap section 5 on the cup section 2 is especially preferable for suppressing that the upper edge portion 2a of the cup section 2 is not in contact with the breast when a size of the breast is smaller than a size of the cup.

Furthermore, in the garment provided with cup sections 1, the underwire section 7 is arranged along the lower edge portion 6b of the pad section 6. Arranging the underwire section 7 on the pad section 6 side allows for thinly fitting the underwire section 7 to the lower end of the breast. Therefore, the plasticity function for the breasts in the second part 12 can be further enhanced.

Hereinafter, a result of an effect confirmation test regarding size applicability of the garment provided with cup sections of the present invention will be described.

In this test, subjects of different breast sizes worn a sample of a garment provided with cup sections of an example and a sample of a garment provided with cup sections of a comparative example and subjective evaluations as to cup sections of which sample fitted to the breasts were collected. As the garment provided with cup sections of the example, one with a configuration where a first part is movable relative to a second part like in the above embodiment was prepared. As the garment provided with cup sections of the comparative example, one with a configuration where a cup section and a pad section are fixed to each other like in the conventional art were prepared.

The subjects included three subjects having a breast size of B70, three subjects having a breast size of C70, and three subjects having a breast size of D70. The size of the sample of the garment provided with cup sections of the example prepared included C70 only while the size of the sample of the garment provided with cup sections of the comparative example prepared included three sizes of B70, C70, and D70. The subjects of each breast size worn each of the samples of the example and the comparative example and then selected one of the samples cup sections of which fit the breasts better. The case where more than two out of three subjects selected the example is rated as A. The case where one out of three subjects selected the example is rated as B. The case where all of three subjects selected the comparative example is rated as C.

FIG. 6 is a diagram illustrating the result of the test. As illustrated in FIG. 6, with respect to the subjects of B70, C70, and D70, the case where all of the three subjects selected the comparative example does not exist. A result was obtained that the cup sections have fitness equivalent to or more than that of the comparative example. The example included only one size of C70 and thus this result confirmed that the garment provided with cup sections according to the present invention has size applicability over a plurality of size types.

The present invention is not limited to the aforementioned embodiments.

For example, in the above embodiment the upper edge portion 6a of the pad section 6, and the upper edge portion 2a and a side edge portion 2b of the cup section 2 are connected by the connecting member 15 having elasticity; however, the connecting member 15 may not be provided when movement of the first part 11 relative to the second part 12 is more focused on. On the other hand, when stability of the breasts is more focused on, the front side base section 13 and the skin side base section 14 may be connected by an elastic connecting member.

In this case, for example as illustrated in FIG. 7, a band-shaped connecting member 16 of a uniform width may be arranged in a horizontal direction below the cup sections 2 and the pad sections 6 between the front side base section 13 and the skin side base section 14. Alternatively, for example as illustrated in FIG. 8, a connecting member 17, corresponding to the shape of the front side base section 13 and the skin side base section 14 and where an upper hem thereof corresponds to the bent shape of the cup sections 2, may be arranged between the front side base section 13 and the skin side base section 14.

For coupling the connecting member 16 or 17, the front side base section 13, and the skin side base section 14 when a lace material is used for the front side base section 13, a lower hem side of the front side base section 13 may be positioned lower than a lower hem side of the skin side base section 14 and an upper hem side of the connecting member 16 or 17 may be sewn on the front side base section 13 while a lower hem side of the connecting member 16 or 17 may be sewn on the skin side base section 14 for example as illustrated in FIG. 9(a). Alternatively, for example as illustrated in FIG. 9(b), the lower hem side of the connecting member 16 or 17 may be sewn on the front side base section 13 while the upper hem side of the connecting member 16 or 17 may be sewn on the skin side base section 14.

For example as illustrated in FIG. 9(c), the connecting member 16 or 17 may be folded into two layers at a lower hem side thereof and one of upper hem sides thereof may be sewn on the front side base section 13 while the other upper hem side may be sewn on the skin side base section 14. Alternatively, for example as illustrated in FIG. 9(d), the connecting member 16 or 17 may be folded into two layers at an upper hem side thereof and one of the upper hem sides may be sewn on the front side base section 13 while the other upper hem side may be sewn on the skin side base section 14.

For example as illustrated in FIG. 9(e), the connecting member 16 or 17 may be folded into three layers by folding at an upper hem side on the front side and folding at a lower hem side on the skin side and the lower hem side may be sewn on the front side base section 13 while the upper hem side may be sewn on the skin side base section 14.

Alternatively, for example as illustrated in FIG. 9(f), the connecting member 16 or 17 may be folded into three layers by folding at a lower hem side on the front side and folding at an upper hem side on the skin side and the upper hem side may be sewn on the front side base section 13 while the lower hem side may be sewn on the skin side base section 14.

When a lace material is not used for the front side base section 13, the lower hem side of the front side base section 13 and the lower hem side of the skin side base section 14 may be aligned and, for example as illustrated in FIG. 9(g), the connecting member 16 or 17 may be arranged to in such a manner as to cover the lower hem side of the front side base section 13 and the lower hem side of the skin side base section 14 and thereby one of the sides of the connecting member 16 or 17 may be sewn on the front side base section 13 while the other side may be sewn on the skin side base section 14.

Incidentally, each of the front side base section 13 and the skin side base section 14 may be divided into a front center side part and a side part without continuity around the lowest end of the cup sections. Alternatively, the front side base section 13 and the skin side base section 14 may be sewn together only at the sewing line L1. Furthermore, the front side base section 13 and the skin side base section 14 may be further connected at a position other than the sewing line L1 and the sewing line L2 as long as movement of the first part 11 relative to the second part 12 is not substantially interrupted. The front side base section 13 and the skin side base section 14 may be fastened at a point for example below the lowest end position of a lower edge portion 22c of the cup section 22. The shape of the lower edge portion 2c of the cup section 2 and the shape of the upper edge portion 3a of the base section 3 corresponding thereto are not limited to the one bent into a round shape but may be various shapes.

Furthermore, in the above embodiment, both of the first part 11 and the second part 12 are cut sew types; however, a first part and a second part of a molded type may be used to configure a garment provided with cup sections. FIG. 10 is a perspective view illustrating a garment provided with cup sections according to the present variation. In this garment provided with cup sections 21, a first part 31 includes cup sections 22 and a front side base section 33 formed integrally by molding using, for example, urethane, non-woven fabric, or the like for example as illustrated in FIG. 11. Also, a second part 32 includes pad sections 26, a skin side base section 34, back portions 24, and connecting members 35 formed integrally by molding using, for example, urethane or the like for example as illustrated in FIG. 12.

Also in this garment provided with cup sections 21, as illustrated in FIG. 10, the first part 31 and the second part 32 are coupled to each other by a sewing line L1 where a side portion 33a of the front side base section 33 and a side portion 34a of the skin side base section 34 are sewn together and a sewing line L2 where a front center of the front side base section 33 and a front center of the skin side base section 34 are sewn together, thereby forming a base section 23. Furthermore, the connecting member 35 is sewn on the cup section 22 and the pad section 26 at a sewing line L3 extending along an upper edge portion 26a of the pad section 26 and a sewing line L4 extending along an upper edge portion 22a and a side edge portion 22b of the cup section 22. Incidentally, the sewing line L1 is not necessary sewn from an upper end to a lower end of the side portion 33a of the front side base section 33 and the side portion 34a of the skin side base section 34 but may be sewn at a part within the upper end and the lower end thereof. Likewise, the sewing line L2 is not necessary sewn from an upper end to a lower end of the front center of the front side base section 33 and the front center of the skin side base section 34 but may be sewn at a part within the upper end and the lower end thereof.

Also in such a garment provided with cup sections 21, the first part 31 is movable upward, downward, forward, and backward relative to the second part 32 like in the above embodiment and thus both of size applicability and plasticity can be sufficiently obtained. Furthermore, the reduced number of members allows for implementing cost reduction. Incidentally, the first part 11 and the second part 12 of the cut sew type and the first part 31 and the second part 32 of the molded type may be used in combination. That is, the first part 11 and the second part 32 may be coupled to configure a garment provided with cup sections. Alternatively, the first part 31 and the second part 12 may be coupled to configure a garment provided with cup sections.

In the above embodiment a garment provided with cup sections has been exemplified by a bra; however, garments provided with cups where the present invention is applied include, in addition to bras, foundation garments such as bra slips, bra camisoles and bodysuits, swim suits, and leotards.
