BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTIONField of the Invention
The invention relates to exercise garments, in particular to a garment that conceals a person's posterior or groin area during exercising.
Common exercising clothing such as yoga pants are tight so as to allow for comfort and ease of movement during exercising or stretching movements. However, such form-fitting attire can draw undesired attention to a person as the garment's tightness and material weight (thinness) can be extremely contour revealing. When worn in gyms or other public locals, the person can be subjected to being ogled at by others that that lack self control or restraint. This is especially the case when a person is performing movements that may accentuate or draw attention to the posterior or groin areas of the person. Being ogled in such a manner can be very degrading, unnerving, and/or distressful to the person being ogled.
Description of the Related Art
It is well known to use to use cover-ups when wearing swimwear such as bikinis. Such cover-ups are typically long flowing thin material such as sarong which is wrapped around the person's body multiple times. While such a garment is well suited to walking or lounging it is not suitable for exercising movements, as the material is long and loose and wrapped multiple times around a person. This means that is can easily become caught in exercise equipment or otherwise tangled causing a hazard for the person. Additionally, the thin material cover-ups do not provide for secure storage for personal items such as smartphones, wallets, or personal music playing devices and are limited in this regard. Moreover, due to the form fitting nature of exercise clothing exercising garments are not provided with storage for such items. As such, the inventors found that there was a need for providing storage capabilities in a cover-up garment.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONIt is accordingly an object of the invention to provide a cover-up garment, which overcomes the hereinafore-mentioned disadvantages of the heretofore-known devices of this general type and which is constructed to be of a suitable length that allows the person to exercise or stretch in an unrestricted manner.

A first elongated segment of material is affixed laterally on the oblong segment of material at a first one of the longitudinal ends. A second elongated segment of material is affixed laterally on the oblong segment of material opposite the first elongated segment of material and at the first one of the longitudinal ends. the oblong segment of material having an opening formed therein at a longitudinal position on the oblong segment of material within one third of an overall length of the oblong segment of material. The opening spanning a longitudinal centerline of the oblong segment of material. The opening has a pocket disposed on the oblong segment of material at the opening. The opening issues into the pocket.
With the foregoing and other objects in view there is also provided, in accordance with the invention, a garment that includes a material body portion that has a first end and a second end opposite the first end. The body portion has opposing sides that extend between the first end and the second end. A first arm portion. A second arm portion. The first and second arm portions are attached to the body portion opposite one another at the first end and on the opposing sides.
