Shoe Galosh

A high heel shoe galosh is provided having a galosh upper that extends to a galosh sole. The galosh upper defines a galosh upper shoe opening for receiving a high heel shoe. The galosh upper may be made of rubber so that the shoe opening can be expanded to allow the high heel shoe to pass through galosh upper shoe opening. The galosh sole galosh defines a heel opening that is sized such that the high heel of a high heel shoe can pass through the shoe opening. The galosh sole may be embodied with a gripping surface to enhance traction. In another embodiment there is an extended high heel shoe galosh that has a heel extension portion that extends from the galosh sole. The heel extension portion protects the high heel from the surrounding environment.

CROSS REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATION

This application claims the benefit of U.S. Provisional Patent application No. 62/309,060, filed on Mar. 16, 2016 the entire contents and disclosure of which are hereby incorporated herein by reference.

BACKGROUND

Women wear high heel shoes for a plurality of difference occasions. For example, women wear high heel shoes in casual settings, business settings and formal settings. High heel shoes have soles and uppers and each can be made from many different materials. For example, the soles and uppers can be made of leather, man-made materials and combinations thereof.

Of course, women need to keep their high heel shoes clean and dry at virtually all times, especially expensive shoes. In addition, may women wear boots that have high heels, for example winter boots, fashion boots and cowboy boots. This becomes impossible when it rains, especially when the rains results in mud or puddles forming. In addition, when it snows the soles and shoe uppers can be ruined by road salt or grit deposited on the roads. In addition, when it rains or snows it becomes almost impossible to safely walk in high heel shoes because they oftentimes have very smooth soles that provide for a very limited amount of traction.

Men are not immune to the problem of snow, ice, rain and mud damaging their footwear. For example, some men wear shoes that have a heel that may be several inches high. In addition, some men wear leather cowboy boots that can be very expensive, or motorcycle boots that can be very expensive and these boots oftentimes have fairly high heels. Such boots are readily damaged when it rains and the person has to walk through mud or puddles, or when it snows and the person has to walk through snow, road salt or grit deposited on roads, driveways and open spaces.

What is needed is a product that not only allows a person to wear high heel shoes regardless of external environmental conditions, but also protects the body and high heel portions of the shoe from the external environment. The product needs to be easy to use and inexpensive to produce, and the product should be such that it can be re-used by the owner.

SUMMARY

A high heel shoe galosh is provided. The high heel shoe galosh has galosh upper that extends to a galosh sole, and the galosh upper and galosh sole are formed as a one-piece body in one of the preferred embodiments. The high heel shoe galosh can be made of rubber, and is waterproof in one of the embodiments. The galosh upper defines a shoe opening for receiving a high heel shoe. The shoe opening can be expanded because the galosh upper is made of rubber, such that the high heel shoe to pass through the shoe opening.

The galosh sole of the high heel shoe galosh defines a heel opening that is sized such that the high heel of the high heel shoe can pass through the shoe opening. The galosh sole may be embodied with a gripping surface to enhance traction when the high heel shoe galosh is being used. The high heel shoe galosh can be made to have virtually any color or pattern, and can be sized and shaped to accommodate virtually any high heel shoe regardless of type or style. The high heel shoe galosh is capable of covering the entire upper portion of a high heel shoe.

In another preferred embodiment there is an extended high heel shoe galosh that has a heel extension portion that extends from the galosh upper. The galosh upper and the heel extension portion are formed as a one-piece high heel shoe galosh body. The heel extension portion has a galosh heel tip that may be formed with a textured or gripping surface so as to provide traction when being worn. In other preferred embodiments there is a heel tip opening defined in the galosh heel tip such that heel tip of the high heel extends through the high heel tip opening. The heel extension portion may also define slits or slots that extend in a direction from the galosh heel tip toward the galosh upper. The extended high heel shoe galosh is capable of covering the entire upper portion and the high heel of a high heel shoe such that the entire high heel shoe is protected.

DESCRIPTION

At the outset it is stated that in the variously described embodiments herein, identical parts, surfaces, components and structures are provided with like reference numbers.

A high heel shoe 10 is shown in FIG. 1 and the high heel shoe 10 has an upper portion 12. The upper portion 12 has outer surface 14 and an opposed inner surface 16, and the upper portion 12 also has opposed toe and heel portions 18, 20. The upper portion 12 is typically made from leather, but in other preferred embodiments may be made of patent leather, fabrics, plastic, synthetic materials and combinations thereof.

The high heel shoe 10 also has an outsole 22 that has opposed inner and outer outsole surfaces 24, 26, respectively. The outsole 22 also has an outsole toe portion 28 and an outsole heel portion 30, and the outsole 22 may be made of leather, plastic, rubber, natural and synthetic materials and may comprise a plurality of layers. The outer outsole surface 26 comes into contact with a surface 8, for example a sidewalk, on which the person (not shown) wearing the high heel shoe 10 walks.

The high heel shoe 10 also has in insole 32 that is supported on the inner outsole surface 24, and the insole 32 comforts the foot of the person wearing the high heel shoe 10. The insole 32 may be made of, for example, cushioning material such as foam or soft leather and may be removable from the high heel shoe 10 or may be secured to the inner outsole surface 24 with, for example, stitching or an adhesive. The outsole 22 is connected to the upper portion 12 with fasteners 33 such as staples, nails, and stitching or with adhesives 35 and combinations thereof.

The high heel shoe 10 also has a high heel 36 that is connected to and extends from the outsole heel portion 30 of the outsole 22. The high heel 36 a length designated L in FIG. 1, and the length L may be from less than an inch to four or more inches, or may be shorter or longer depending in other embodiments. The high heel 36 is secured to the outsole 22 with adhesives 35, or fasteners 33 (shown in dashed line) such nails, or staples that extend through the outsole 22 into the high heel 36. A seat 40 adapted to receive the heel of the person wearing the high shoe 10 is formed when the high heel 36 is joined to the outsole 22.

The high heel 36 also has a heel tip 42 and there may be an end cap 44 mounted on the heel tip 42. The end cap 44 may be made of rubber or other material that enhances grip and protects the heel tip 42 from the surrounding environment while the high heel shoe 10 is being worn. The high heel shoe 10 also has an arch portion 47.

The high heel shoe 10 also has a toe end 48 and an opposed heel end 50, and upper portion 12 defines a foot opening 52 that leads to a high heel shoe interior 54. High heel shoes and the construction of high heel shoes are well known to those having ordinary skill in the art and are therefore not described in greater detail herein.

FIGS. 2-4 show a high heel shoe galosh 60 that is made of rubber 61 in one of the embodiments thereof, and the shoe galosh 60 has a relaxed position 62 as shown in FIGS. 2-4. In addition to rubber 61, the high heel shoe galosh 60 can also be made from materials including flexible resilient plastics, polymers, flexible resilient polymers, silicone, waterproof fabrics, flexible resilient fabrics combinations thereof. The high heel shoe galosh 60 can be readily stretched and deformed such that it can be moved into a stretched position 64 (FIG. 6) when fitted on the high heel shoe 10 as will be described presently. The high heel shoe galosh 60 is made of resilient material as mentioned above such that when forces are applied to it will stretch and when the forces are removed it will return back to its relaxed position 62. The high heel shoe galosh 60 is also waterproof when it is fabricated from rubber 61, polymers or plastics. The high heel shoe galosh 60 may also be made of other flexible resilient materials. In addition, the high heel shoe galosh 60 can be made from dark materials such as rubber, but may also be made of transparent or clear materials, for example resilient clear plastic materials.

The high heel shoe galosh 60 has galosh upper 66 that extends to a galosh sole 68 and the galosh upper and galosh sole 66, 68 are formed as a one piece body 70 in one embodiment. The galosh upper 66 and the galosh sole 68 define a galosh interior 85. FIG. 5 is a sectional view taken along line A-A of FIG. 3. As shown, the galosh upper 66 has an upper inner surface 72 and an opposed upper outer surface 74. Likewise, the galosh sole 68 has a galosh sole inner surface 76 and an opposed galosh sole outer surface 78. The galosh upper 66 has a galosh toe end 80 and an opposed galosh heel end 82. The galosh upper 66 also has a galosh upper surrounding wall 75 that defines a galosh upper shoe opening 84, and the galosh sole 68 has a galosh sole surrounding wall 69 that defines a galosh heel opening 71. Each of the galosh upper shoe opening 84 and the galosh heel opening 71 leads to the galosh interior 85 mentioned above. As shown in FIG. 6, the high heel shoe 10 is capable of being fitted through the galosh upper shoe opening 84 and into the galosh interior 85, such that the high heel 36 extends through the galosh heel opening 71 that is defined in the galosh sole 68. It is pointed out that in one of the embodiments the high heel shoe galosh 60 is constructed and sized such that when the high heel shoe 10 is fitted in the galosh interior 85 the entire upper portion 12 of the high heel shoe 10 is positioned internal to the high heel shoe galosh 60, such that none of the upper portion 12 of the high heel shoe 10 is exposed. Thus, the high heel shoe galosh 60 covers the entire upper portion 12 of the high heel shoe 10 as shown in FIG. 6, and as a result the entire upper portion 12 of the high heel shoe 10 is protected from the environment and is unexposed to the environment. The high heel shoe galosh 60 can be constructed and sized to accommodate virtually any high heel shoe 10.

It is pointed out that because the galosh upper 66 is made of rubber 61 or other suitable flexible resilient material, the galosh upper shoe opening 84 can be expanded or stretched to allow the high heel shoe 10 to pass through the galosh upper shoe opening 84. When the high heel shoe 10 is fully moved into the galosh interior 85 the upper portion 12 of the high heel shoe 10 abuts against the upper inner surface 72 and against the galosh sole inner surface 76 of the high heel shoe galosh 60, and the high heel 36 extends through the galosh heel opening 71 defined in the galosh sole 68. At the same time the high heel shoe galosh 60 is in the stretched position 64 and the high heel shoe galosh 60 compresses or contracts against the outer surface 14 of the upper portion 12 and the outsole 22 of the high heel shoe 10. This prevents the high heel shoe galosh 60 from moving while the person wearing the high heel shoe 10 walks, stands, or runs.

As shown in FIG. 4, the galosh sole outer surface 78 may be embodied or formed with a gripping surface 88 to enhance traction when the high heel shoe galosh 60 is worn and used. The gripping surface 88 may cover the entire galosh sole outer surface 78 or a portion or portions thereof. The gripping surface 88 may be in the form of a pattern 90 such as lines, shapes, curved lines, or protrusions 92, or tread patterns and other suitable patterns, and the gripping surface 88 may be flush with or elevated with respect to the galosh sole outer surface 78. The gripping surface 88 may also be formed such that it has printed indicia 94, for example a logo, a trademark, a brand, symbols, words, designs, colors, color patterns, and combinations thereof, such that the gripping surface 88 provides for traction and has printed indicia 94. In other preferred embodiments the gripping surface 88 is not present but the printed indicia 94 is present, and in other embodiments the galosh sole outer surface 78 has printed indicia 94. That is, the galosh sole outer surface 78 serves as a display 87 for printed indicia 94. Thus, as the person wearing the high heel shoe galoshes 60 walks he or she leaves his or her own mark in the ground, or snow, or slush, while at the same time has a low likelihood of slipping due to the gripping surface 88. The gripping surface 88 and the printed indicia 94 may be formed as part of the high heel shoe galosh 60 when it is made, for example at the point of manufacture, and in other embodiments the gripping surface 88 and the printed indicia 94 are in the form of a separate component or components that are bonded or adhered to the galosh sole outer surface 78 with, for example, a heating process or adhesives. In another embodiment the entire galosh sole outer surface 78 may have gripping surface 88, protrusions 92 and patterns 90 and may have printed indicia 94.

FIG. 2 shows the high heel shoe galosh 60 in the relaxed position 62, and FIG. 6 shows the high heel shoe galosh 60 when in the a stretched position 64 and fitted on the high heel shoe 10, such that the high heel shoe galosh 60 compresses against the outer surface 14 of the upper portion 12 of the high heel shoe 10 and against the outer outsole surface 26.

It is pointed out that the high heel shoe galosh 60 may be made to have virtually any color, and can be transparent or clear if or may have color patterns. In addition, the upper outer surface 74 and galosh sole outer surface 78 of the high heel shoe galosh 60 can be virtually any color or color combination, and, the same is true for the upper inner surface 72 of the galosh sole inner surface 76. In addition, the high heel shoe galosh 60 can be embodied to have different surface textures and color patterns and the possible combinations are without limitation, and the high heel shoe galosh 60 and may have printed indicia 94 as described above. For example the upper outer surface 74 may have printed indicia 94 of all type and kind without limitation.

In addition, the high heel shoe galosh 60 can be made or manufactured in virtually any size and in virtually shape or configuration to accommodate differently shaped high heel shoes 10. The high heel shoe galosh 60 may be made in virtually any color. The high heel shoe galoshes 60 can be made, dimensioned and constructed to fit over, for example, not only high heel shoes 10, but also platform shoes, pumps, short heeled shoes, high heel sandals, boots, cowboy boots and cowboy style boots and the like without limitation.

In another embodiment shown in FIGS. 7-9, there is an extended high heel shoe galosh 200 having a heel extension portion 202. The extended high heel shoe galosh 200 includes all of the structure of the above-described high heel shoe galosh 60 plus the heel extension portion 202. Thus, the extended high heel shoe galosh 200 has a galosh upper 66a that extends to a galosh sole 68a, and the galosh upper 66a has an upper inner surface 72a and an opposed upper outer surface 74a. The galosh upper 66a and the galosh sole 68a define a galosh interior 85a sized to accommodate the upper portion 12 of the high heel shoe 10 therein. The galosh sole 68a has a galosh sole inner surface 76a and an opposed galosh sole outer surface 78a, and the galosh sole 68a has a galosh surrounding wall 69a that defines a galosh heel opening 71a. The galosh upper 66a also has a galosh toe end 80a and an opposed galosh heel end 82a, and the galosh upper 66a has a galosh upper surrounding wall 75a that defines a galosh upper shoe opening 84a, and the high heel shoe 10 can be moved through the galosh upper shoe opening 84a. The galosh sole outer surface 78a may have a gripping surface 88a, patterns 90a, protrusions 92a, and printed indicia 94a and the galosh sole outer surface 78 can serve as a display 87 for printed indicia 94a as previously described in connection with the first embodiment.

The extended high heel shoe galosh 200 is formed as a one piece extended high heel shoe galosh body 203. The heel extension portion 202 merges with and extends from the galosh sole 68a in a direction away from the galosh sole 68a and in a direction away from the galosh upper 66a. The heel extension portion 202 is for protecting the high heel 36 of the high heel shoe 10. The extended high heel shoe galosh 200 is made from the same materials described above in the connection with the high heel shoe galosh 60. The heel extension portion 202 has a heel surrounding wall 204 having opposed inner and outer heel wall surfaces 206, 208, and the extension portion 200 extends to a heel portion end 209 where it meets a heel end wall 210 having opposed inner and outer heel end wall surfaces 212, 214. Together, the inner heel wall surface 206 and the inner heel end wall surface 212 define a heel interior 216 in the heel extension portion 202 capable of receiving a high heel 36 therein. In addition, the heel extension portion 202 extends from the galosh sole 68a at or near the galosh heel end 82a as shown, such that the galosh heel opening 71a leads to the galosh interior 85a and leads to the heel interior 216. Thus, together the upper inner surface 72a, the galosh sole inner surface 76a, the inner heel wall surface 206, and the inner end wall surface 212 define a high heel shoe cavity 217 capable of receiving the high heel shoe 10 therein.

In addition, as shown in FIG. 7 the upper outer surface 74a is substantially flush with the outer heel wall surface 208 where these surfaces meet, in other words, there are no merge lines where the outer heel wall surface 208 meets the upper outer surface 74a.

As previously mentioned, the extended high heel shoe galosh 200 is formed as a one piece extended high heel shoe galosh body 203, and this is accomplished by molding and manufacturing techniques. For example, the high heel shoe galosh 200 may be made entirely of rubber, or the same materials mentioned above in connection with the high heel shoe galosh 60. In addition, the heel extension portion 202 may be embodied to have a rectangular, elliptical or circular cross section, or may have virtually any cross section to accommodate a the shape of the high heel 36 to be protected.

The heel interior 216 is sized to receive therein the high heel 36 of the high heel shoe 10. In use, the user moves the high heel shoe 10 through the galosh upper shoe opening 84a and moves the high heel 36 into the heel interior 216, and then moves the upper portion 12 of the high heel shoe 10 into the galosh upper 66a. As this happens the extended high heel shoe galosh 200 moves from a relaxed galosh position 224 (FIG. 7) to a stretched galosh position 226 (FIG. 10). FIG. 10 shows the extended high heel show galosh 200 fitted on a high heel shoe 10. The extended high heel shoe galosh 200 expands to accommodate the high heel shoe 10, and then contracts or compresses against the high heel shoe 10 so that it remains in place. The extended high heel show galosh 200 compresses against the high heel 36 and the upper portion 14 of the high heel shoe 10, thus holding or securing in place the high heel shoe galosh 200 on the high heel shoe 10. It is pointed out that in one of the embodiments the extended high heel shoe galosh 200 is constructed and sized such that when the high heel shoe 10 is fitted in the galosh interior 85a the entire upper portion 12 of the high heel shoe 10 is positioned internal to the extended high heel shoe galosh 200 and the entire high heel 36 is positioned internal to the high heel shoe galosh 200, and none of the upper portion 12 of the high heel shoe 10 and none of the high heel 36 are exposed. Thus, the extended high heel shoe galosh 200 covers the entire upper portion 12 of the high heel shoe 10 and covers the high heel 36 as shown in FIG. 10, and as a result the entire upper portion 12 and the high heel 36 of the high heel shoe 10 are protected from the environment. In other words, extended high heel shoe galosh protects the entire high heel shoe 10 from the environment. The extended high heel shoe galosh 200 can be constructed and sized to accommodate virtually any high heel shoe 10.

It is pointed out that because the heel extension portion 202 is formed from rubber or other flexible resilient materials the high heel shoe galosh 200 is adapted to be fitted on virtually any type of high heel 36, regardless of whether or not the high heel is cylindrical shaped, boxed shaped, or has some other geometry.

In other embodiment of the extended high heel show galosh 200 the heel end wall 210 is absent and a tip opening 230 (indicated by dashed line in FIG. 8) is defined in the heel extension portion 202. Thus, the tip 42 of the high heel 36 is exposed when the high heel shoe galosh fitted over a high heel shoe 10.

In another embodiment the heel extension portion 202 may define one or more slots 232 that extend though and along the heel surrounding wall 204 as shown in FIG. 10. The slots 232 extend in a direction from the heel end 209 of the heel extension portion 202 toward the galosh sole 68a and toward the galosh upper 66a. The slots 232 may allow the heel extension portion 202 to be fitted on and off of the high heel 36 more quickly, and, at the same time they can be aesthetically pleasing because a portion of the high heel 36 is exposed through the slots 232.

The high heel shoe galoshes 60 and the extended high heel shoe galoshes 200 provide a way for women, men and all people to protect their high heel shoes 10 from the surrounding environment, are easy to use, and can be re-used. Women can use the high heel shoe galoshes 60 and the extended high heel shoe galoshes 200 such that they can wear high heel shoes 10 whenever and wherever they want or desire and regardless of the weather or other environmental conditions. The same is true for men who wear shoes or boots having high heels.

In addition, men and women and all people that wear cowboy boots, tall winter boots, and the like can also wear the high heel shoe galoshes 60 and the extended high heel shoe galoshes 200. Thus, the high heel shoe galoshes 60 and the extended high heel shoe galoshes 200 are not limited to use with just high heel shoes 10. Rather, the high heel shoe galoshes 60 and the extended high heel shoe galoshes 200 can be used on the tall boots that women wear in the winter or for fashion purposes. In addition, the high heel shoe galoshes 60 and the extended high heel shoe galoshes 200 can be used in connection with cowboy boots. Thus, both men and women can use the high heel shoe galoshes 60 and the extended high heel shoe galoshes 200 to prevent their cowboy type boots from being damaged by the environment. The high heel shoe galoshes 60 and the extended high heel shoe galoshes 200 need only be made in larger sizes to accommodate differently sized boots.

In addition, the high heel shoe galoshes 60 and the extended high heel shoe galoshes 200 allow women and men to wear their best or most fancy high heel shoes 10 and boots without ever having to worry about them being damaged due to the weather and other deleterious environmental conditions.

It is pointed out that the high heel shoe galoshes 60 and extended high heel shoe galoshes 200 can even be used in connection with high heel sandals. In addition, the galosh upper 66, 66a may also have printed indicia 94, 94a and serve as a display for printed indicia 94, 94a. In addition, the high heel shoe galoshes 60 and extended high heel shoe galoshes 200 can be re-used, and they can be washed if they become soiled.

It will be appreciated by those skilled in the art that while the high heel shoe galosh 60 and the extended high heel shoe galosh 200 have been described in detail herein, the high heel shoe galosh 60 and the extended high heel shoe galosh 200 are not necessarily so limited and other examples, embodiments, uses, modifications, and departures from the embodiments, examples, uses, and modifications may be made without departing from the high heel shoe galosh 60 and the extended high heel shoe galosh 200, and all such embodiments are intended to be within the scope and spirit of the appended claims.

Claims

1. A high heel shoe galosh for a high heel shoe having a high heel and an upper portion, the high heel shoe galosh comprising:

a galosh upper;
a galosh sole and wherein the galosh upper extends from the galosh sole and the galosh upper has a galosh toe end and an opposed galosh heel end;
the galosh upper and the galosh sole define a galosh interior;
wherein the galosh sole has a the galosh sole surrounding wall that defines a galosh heel opening and the galosh upper has a galosh upper surrounding wall that defines a galosh upper shoe opening;
wherein the galosh heel opening and the galosh upper opening lead to the galosh interior such that the high heel shoe can be received in the high heel interior with the high heel extending through the galosh heel opening; and,
wherein when the high heel shoe is fitted in the galosh upper the entire upper portion of the high heel shoe is covered by the galosh upper.

2. The high heel shoe according to claim 1 wherein the galosh upper and the galosh sole are formed as a one piece body.

3. The high heel shoe galosh according to claim 2 wherein the galosh upper and the galosh sole are formed from at least one of the following materials:

rubber;
polymers;
flexible resilient plastics;
flexible resilient polymers;
silicone;
flexible resilient fabrics; and,
waterproof fabrics.

4. The high heel shoe galosh according to claim 1 wherein the a galosh upper and the galosh sole are made of a flexible resilient material such that the galosh upper and the galosh sole can be moved from a relaxed position to a stretched position and vice versa.

5. The high heel shoe galosh according to claim 1 wherein the galosh sole has a galosh sole outer surface having a gripping surface to enhance traction.

6. The high heel shoe galosh according to claim 6 wherein the gripping surface is in the form of at least one of the following:

a pattern;
protrusions;
tread patterns.

7. The high heel shoe galosh according to claim 6 wherein the galosh sole outer surface is a display for printed indicia.

8. An extended high heel shoe galosh for a high heel shoe having a high heel and an upper portion, the extended high heel shoe galosh comprising:

a galosh upper;
a galosh sole and wherein the galosh upper extends from the galosh sole and the galosh upper has a galosh toe end and an opposed galosh heel end;
the galosh upper and the galosh sole define a galosh interior;
wherein the galosh sole has a the galosh sole surrounding wall that defines a galosh heel opening and the galosh upper has a galosh upper surrounding wall that defines a galosh upper shoe opening;
wherein the galosh heel opening and the galosh upper opening lead to the galosh interior; and,
a heel extension portion that extends from the galosh sole in a direction away from the galosh sole and in a direction away from the galosh upper and the heel extension portion for receiving the high heel therein.

The extended high heel shoe galosh according to claim 8 wherein the heel extension portion has a heel surrounding wall having opposed inner and outer heel wall surfaces, and the extension portion extends to a heel end where it meets a heel end wall having opposed inner and outer heel end wall surfaces.

10. The extended high heel shoe galosh according to claim 9 wherein the inner heel wall surface and the inner heel end wall surface define a heel interior in the heel extension portion.

11. The extended high heel shoe galosh according to claim 10 wherein the galosh upper has an upper inner surface and the galosh sole has a galosh sole inner surface.

12. The extended high heel shoe galosh according to claim 11 wherein the heel extension portion extends from the galosh sole at the galosh heel end and the galosh heel opening leads to the galosh interior and leads to the heel interior and wherein the upper inner surface and the galosh sole inner surface and the inner heel wall surface and the inner end wall surface define a high heel shoe cavity capable of receiving the high heel shoe therein.

13. The extended high heel shoe galosh according to claim 8 wherein the galosh upper and the galosh sole are formed as a one piece body.

14. The extended high heel shoe galosh according to claim 8 wherein the galosh upper and the galosh sole and the heel extension portion are formed from at least one of the following materials:

rubber;
polymers;
flexible resilient plastics;
flexible resilient polymers;
silicone;
flexible resilient fabrics; and,
waterproof fabrics.

15. The extended high heel shoe galosh according to claim 8 wherein the a galosh upper and the galosh sole and the heel extension portion are flexible resilient material such that the galosh upper and the galosh sole and the heel extension portion can be moved from a relaxed position to a stretched position and vice versa.

16. The extended high heel shoe galosh according to claim 8 wherein the galosh sole has a galosh sole outer surface having a gripping surface to enhance traction and wherein the gripping surface is in the form of at least one of the following:

a pattern;
protrusions;
tread patterns.

17. The extended high heel shoe galosh according to claim 8 wherein the galosh sole outer surface is a display for printed indicia.

18. The extended high heel shoe galosh according to claim 8 wherein the heel extension portion defines slots such that when the high heel is disposed in the heel extension portion the high heel is capable of being viewed and wherein the slots extend in a direction from the high heel extension portion to the galosh sole and the galosh upper.

19. The extended high heel shoe galosh according to claim 8 wherein when the high heel shoe is fitted in the galosh upper and heel extension portion the entire upper portion and the high heel of the high heel shoe are covered by the galosh upper and the heel extension portion.
