TECHNICAL FIELD

The invention relates to the field of manufacturing of wheels, in particular to a wheel blank.

BACKGROUND ART

In a wheel manufacturing process, the end face of a wheel blank is easily deformed mainly because a hub is non-uniformly cooled by a die in a casting process, and stress is produced after the blank is solidified, resulting in wavy deformation on the surface. A wheel side die is generally composed of four separate dies, and analysis shows that relative height difference most easily occurs at the junction of two separate side dies and in the middle of each single separate side die. After water quenching or thermal treatment is carried out on the wheel blank, deformation of the various zones is inconsistent, and deformation amount of the end face is further increased.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The invention aims at providing a method for reducing deformation of the end face of a wheel blank.

According to the technical scheme of the invention, a trough is arranged at the junction of every two separate side dies on the blank rim end face of a cast blank, a trough is arranged in the middle of each single side die on the blank rim end face of the cast blank, and 2, 4, 6 or 8 troughs are arranged in total as the wheel side die is composed of four separate dies.

The depth of the troughs is 0.1-1 time the height of a locating lip, the lower limit of the width of the upper ends of the troughs is the height of the locating lip and the upper limit is 1/16 of the circumference of the wheel blank, and the lower limit of the width of the lower ends of the troughs is 0 and the upper limit is 1/16 of the circumference of the wheel blank.

The troughs can disperse stress at a cutting-off position, reducing overall deformation of the wheel blank upon stress deformation. Meanwhile, the troughs can also eliminate high points, reducing height differences between the high points and low points.

For three types of wheels in 18 cun, 20 cun and 22 cun, 50 blanks of each type are selected, by adopting the die modified according to the invention, in normal production, deformation amounts of the end faces measured after thermal treatment are obviously reduced than before and are reduced respectively from the original 1.0, 1.3 and 1.5 to 0.4, 0.6 and 0.8, namely reductions reach respectively 0.6, 0.7 and 0.7, and thus the method is verified to be capable of obtaining good effects.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

An 18-cun wheel type is selected, and a trough 1 is arranged at the junction of every two separate side dies on the blank rim end face of a cast blank, and four troughs 1 are arranged in total. The depth of the troughs 1 is 0.4 times the height of a locating lip, the upper ends of the troughs 1 are 4 cm wide, and the lower ends of the troughs 1 are 1 cm wide.

A 22-cun wheel type is selected, a trough 1 is arranged at the junction of every two separate side dies on the blank rim end face of the cast blank, a trough 1 is arranged in the middle of each single side die on the blank rim end face of the cast blank, and 8 troughs 1 are arranged in total. The depth of the troughs 1 is 0.8 time of the height of the locating lip, the upper ends of the troughs 1 are 3 cm wide, and the lower ends are 2 cm wide.

Claims

1. A method for reducing deformation of an end face of a wheel blank, comprising:

arranging a trough at a junction of every two separate side dies on a blank rim end face of a cast blank, a trough is arranged in the middle of each single side die on the blank rim end face of the cast blank, and at least one troughs are arranged in total as the wheel side die is composed of at least four separate dies, the depth of the troughs is 0.1-1 time the height of a locating lip, the lower limit of the width of the upper ends of the troughs is the height of the locating lip and the upper limit is 1/16 of the circumference of the wheel blank, and the lower limit of the width of the lower ends of the troughs is 0 and the upper limit is 1/16 of the circumference of the wheel blank.

The method for reducing the deformation of the end face of the wheel blank according to claim 1, wherein a trough is arranged at the junction of every two separate side dies on the blank rim end face of the cast blank, and 4 troughs are arranged in total. A depth of the troughs is 0.4 times a height of the locating lip, the upper ends of the troughs are 4 cm wide, and the lower ends of the troughs are 1 cm wide.

The method for reducing the deformation of the end face of the wheel blank according to claim 1, wherein a trough is arranged in the middle of each single separate side die on the blank rim end face of the cast blank, and at least 8 troughs are arranged in total, the depth of the troughs is 0.8 times the height of the locating lip, the upper ends of the troughs are 3 cm wide, and the lower ends are 2 cm wide.
