Description
CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS

The embodiments herein claims the priority of a U.S. Provisional patent Application (PPA) with a Ser. No. 62/467804 filed on Mar. 6, 2017 with the title, “COMPACT WATER PROOFING APPLICATOR”, and the contents of which are incorporated in entirety as reference herein.

BACKGROUND Technical field

The embodiments herein are generally related to the field of water proofing applications. The embodiments herein are particularly related to a system and method for water proofing products and goods. The embodiments herein are more particularly related to a compact and portable water proofing device and method. The embodiments herein are especially related to a roll-on applicator device and method for water proofing leather products such as footwear, gloves etc.

Description of the Related Art

Waterproofing is a process of making an object or structure resistant to water under specified conditions. There is always huge demand for water proofing of some commonly used leather products such as footwear, gloves etc. In particular, water proofing is required in case of boots designed for wearing in winter/snow conditions and/or for hiking over wet ground. As the most comfortable material used for making footwear are generally natural materials such as leather which is flexible and hence easily molds to the required shape. However, one characteristic of leather, namely, the fact that it is not always waterproof, bothers the users while using such products.

The waterproofing leather products such as boots and gloves is exceptionally important for campers, hikers, and other outdoor enthusiasts. When these items get wet, the moisture is able to penetrate through the skin and cause serious skin conditions. Walking around in wet shoes or socks throughout the day or for longer durations is both uncomfortable and unsanitary.

Additionally, it is well known that leather shoes without special treatment allow a penetration of outside moisture thereby making the feet eventually wet. This is because of the porous nature of leather. Thus, hikers and campers usually carry waterproof applicator tools. However, most of these recently available waterproofing tools are bulky and difficult to carry/transport.

Hence, there is a need for a compact and portable applicator device or mechanism for water proofing of leather products. There is also a need for a compact and portable water proofing applicator device and method for leather product to help the users working in moist conditions to avoiding any skin damage to the user working in a moist environment condition continuously or always due to continuous wet environment. Further, there is a need for a non-liquid wax material based roll-on applicator device and method to provide a complete water proofing solution for the leather products.

The above mentioned shortcomings, disadvantages and problems are addressed herein and which will be understood by reading and studying the following specification.
