Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a case for accommodating an air compressor which is capable of turning on/off the air compressor effectively.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

A conventional air compressor is applied to inflate air into an object, such as an air cushion or a tire. The air compressor is in a small size and is portable manually, wherein a direct current (DC) power supply or a cigarette lighter receptacle is configured to supply electrical power to the air compressor. The air compressor is accommodated in a case, and the air compressor is driven by a piston after the piston is actuated by a motor to move reciprocately in a cylinder, and the air compressor compresses and supplies air into the object, thus inflating the air into the object.

Referring to FIG. 7, a conventional case for accommodating the air compressor contains a first part 4 and a second part 5. The first part 4 includes a switch seat 41 mounted on a bottom thereof, and the switch seat 41 has a first positive terminal 411 and a second positive terminal 412 which are spaced by a partition 51 after the first part 4 and the second part 5 are connected. When exerting a force on the case, the partition 51 of the second part 5 presses the first positive terminal 411 and the second positive terminal 412 or two wires on the first positive terminal 411 and the second positive terminal 412 respectively, such that the first positive terminal 411 and the second positive terminal 412 are electrically conducted, and a button 410 of the switch seat 41 cannot be turned on/off easily. Accordingly, the motor operates continuously to inflate the air into the tire, thus burning the motor and/or breaking the tire.

It is important to improve the case for accommodating the air compressor so that the electrical power is supplied to the air compressor or the air compressor inflates the air into the tire quickly.

The present invention has arisen to mitigate and/or obviate the afore-described disadvantages.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The primary aspect of the present invention is to provide a case for accommodating an air compressor which contains the first case, the second case connected with the first part 1, the first part includes the fixing face, the receiving orifice defined on the first face and configured to receive the switch seat, the stop rib extending around the distal end of the receiving orifice so as to fix the switch seat, and the spacing element extending from the bottom of the stop rib relative to the receiving orifice so as to space the first positive terminal of the switch seat from the second positive terminal of the switch seat, such that the wire connected on the first positive terminal does not contact with the wire connected on the second positive terminal.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

With reference to FIGS. 1 and 2, a case for accommodating an air compressor 3 according to a first embodiment of the present invention comprises: a first part 1 and a second part 2 connected with the first part 2 so that the air compressor 3 is accommodated in an accommodation space between the first part 1 and the second part 2.

Referring to FIGS. 2-5, the first part 1 is in a rectangular frame shape and includes a fixing face 10, a receiving orifice 11 defined on the first face 10 and configured to receive a switch seat 14, a stop rib 12 extending around a distal end of the receiving orifice 11 so as to fix the switch seat 14, and a spacing element 13 extending from a bottom of the stop rib 12 relative to the receiving orifice 11 and formed in a U shape so as to space a first positive terminal 141 on a bottom of the switch seat 14 from a second positive terminal 142 on the bottom of the switch seat 14, such that a wire connected on the first positive terminal 141 does not contact with a wire connected on the second positive terminal 142. In a second embodiment, a spacing element 13 is formed in an L shape, as illustrated in FIG. 6.

Referring to FIG. 5, after the first part 1 is connected with the second part 2, the first positive terminal 141 of the switch seat 14 is spaced from the second positive terminal 142 of the switch seat 14 by the spacing element 13 so that the wire connected with the first positive terminal 141 does not contact with the wire connected with the second positive terminal 142 of the switch seat 14. Furthermore, the second part 2 does not press the first positive terminal 141 and the second positive terminal 142 when connecting with the first part 1.

Accordingly, the case for accommodating the air compressor comprises the first case 1, the second case 2 connected with the first part 1. The first part 1 includes the fixing face 10, the receiving orifice 11 defined on the first face 10 and configured to receive the switch seat 14, the stop rib 12 extending around the distal end of the receiving orifice 11 so as to fix the switch seat 14, the spacing element 13 extending from the bottom of the stop rib 12 relative to the receiving orifice 11 so as to space the first positive terminal 141 of the switch seat 14 from the second positive terminal 142 of the switch seat 14, such that the wire connected on the first positive terminal 141 does not contact with the wire connected on the second positive terminal 142. Furthermore, the second part 2 does not press the first positive terminal 141 and the second positive terminal 142 when connecting with the first part 1.

While the preferred embodiments of the invention have been set forth for the purpose of disclosure, modifications of the disclosed embodiments of the invention as well as other embodiments thereof may occur to those skilled in the art. Accordingly, the appended claims are intended to cover all embodiments which do not depart from the spirit and scope of the invention
