ELECTRICAL TABLE CARRIER MECHANISM

An electrical table carrier mechanism includes two carrying members, a connection member, and two suspension arms, which provide a sufficient supporting force and stability to a tabletop of an electrical table mounted thereto. The carrying members, the connection member and the suspension arms are all formed through pressing and folding of metal plates so that the material cost and the machining cost are low and products thereof are made light in weight to facilitate transportation thereof so as to improve competition power of the products.

(a) TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates generally to a carrier mechanism of an electrical table, and more particularly to a structure design of a carrier mechanism featuring length adjustability for accommodating tabletops of different lengths, so that various advantages, including lowering material and fabrication costs and making products light in weight, can be achieved with the design of this invention.

(b) DESCRIPTION OF THE PRIOR ART

As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, a known electrical table 1 that provides a function of adjustment comprises, at least, a pair of table legs 11, a carrier mechanism 12 and a tabletop 13, wherein the pair of table legs 11 is provided, in an interior thereof, with an operation mechanism (not shown). The table legs 11 each have a top to which a mechanism seat 111 is mounted, and a lower end of the table leg 11 is provided with a leg base 112 for positioning on a ground surface. The carrier mechanism 12 comprises a plurality of main frame tubes 121 that are each of a rectangular configuration and set horizontally, a connection tube 122, and suspension arms 123 coupled to the main frame tubes 121, respectively.

Driving, through one of the mechanism seats 111, the operation mechanism that is arranged internal of the table legs 11 to operate allows the table legs 11 to undergo an ascending or descending operation to achieve an effect of adjusting a height of the electrical table 1. Extension or retraction realized through the main frame tubes 121 and the connection tube 122 of the carrier mechanism 12 makes it possible to vary a horizontal length in order to accommodate different lengths of the tabletop 13.

However, in the known carrier mechanism 12, the plurality of main frame tubes 121 and the connection tube 122 must be cut into desired lengths in the fabrication thereof. In addition, welding is necessarily carried out on the main frame tubes 121 and the connection tube 122 to mount a plurality of connection plates 124 for fixing a tabletop 13. It is commonly known that cutting and machining rectangular tubes is an expensive operation and an extended period of time is necessary for such an operation. All such adverse conditions make the fabrication expenditure of the carrier mechanism 12 relatively high, leading to an excessively high cost of the electrical table 1 that is disadvantageous for sale.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to an electrical table carrier mechanism, which is made to overcome the drawbacks that the known electrical table carrier mechanism is of a high price due to excessively high material and machining costs.

To achieve the above objective, the present invention provides an electrical table carrier mechanism. The electrical table carrier mechanism according to the present invention at least comprises two carrying members, a connection member and two suspension arms that are formed through pressing and folding metal plates, wherein the two carrying members each comprise a carrying surface in a planar form. The carrying surface has two opposite sides each comprising a side plate vertically extending downward therefrom and the two side plates define and delimit a receiving space. One of the side plates is extended and folded from a location in proximity of one end toward an opposite end to form a partially open channel. The connection member comprises a first planar plate, a second planar plate, and a vertical plate connected to the first planar plate and the second planar plate. The suspension arms each comprise a flat board in a planar form. A notch is formed in a middle portion of the flat board. The flat board comprises two lugs extending downward from two ends of the notch and an edge board vertically extending downward from one side of the notch.

The efficacy provided by application of the above structure according to the present invention is that the carrier mechanism of the present invention comprises two carrying members, a connection member, and two suspension arms, which provide a sufficient supporting force to a tabletop of an electrical table during assembling thereof. The carrying surfaces of the carrying members, the first planar plate of the connection member, and the flat boards of the suspension arms are arranged to provide the tabletop with excellent levelness and stability in fixing thereof. In addition, the two carrying members, the connection member, and the two suspension arms of the carrier mechanism are all formed through pressing and folding metal plates so that the material cost and the processing cost are both low and products thereof are made light in weight, which facilitates transportation of the products, thereby improving competition power of the products.

The foregoing objectives and summary provide only a brief introduction to the present invention. To fully appreciate these and other objects of the present invention as well as the invention itself, all of which will become apparent to those skilled in the art, the following detailed description of the invention and the claims should be read in conjunction with the accompanying drawings. Throughout the specification and drawings identical reference numerals refer to identical or similar parts.

Many other advantages and features of the present invention will become manifest to those versed in the art upon making reference to the detailed description and the accompanying sheets of drawings in which a preferred structural embodiment incorporating the principles of the present invention is shown by way of illustrative example.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

The following descriptions are exemplary embodiments only, and are not intended to limit the scope, applicability or configuration of the invention in any way. Rather, the following description provides a convenient illustration for implementing exemplary embodiments of the invention. Various changes to the described embodiments may be made in the function and arrangement of the elements described without departing from the scope of the invention as set forth in the appended claims.

Firstly, referring to FIG. 3, an electrical table carrier mechanism 2 according to the present invention at least comprises two carrying members 21 formed by pressing and folding metal plates, a connection member 22, and two suspension arms 23. The two carrying members 21 each comprise a carrying surface 211 in a planar form. The carrying surface 211 has two opposite sides from each of which a side plate 212 extends downward. The two side plates 212 define and delimit therebetween a receiving space 213. One of the side plates 212 is extended and folded from a location in proximity of one end toward an opposite end to form a partially open channel 214.

The connection member 22 comprises a first planar plate 221, a second planar plate 222, and a vertical plate 223 connected to the first planar plate 221 and the second planar plate 222. In an embodiment, the first planar plate 221 comprises at least one fixing plate 2211 for the purpose of fixing.

The suspension arms 23 each comprise a flat board 231 in a planar form, and a middle portion of the flat board 231 is formed with a notch 232. The flat board 231 is extended downward from two ends of the notch 232 to form two lugs 233, and is also formed, in a vertical direction, with an edge board 234 extending downward from one side of the notch 232.

Also referring to FIGS. 4-7, the electrical table carrier mechanism according to the present invention is generally applicable to an electrical table that is capable of adjustment of height and also adjustment of tabletop length. The electrical table comprises a pair of table legs 3 and a tabletop 4. The pair of table legs 3 is coupled with the carrier mechanism 2 according to the present invention. The table legs 3 each comprise a main post 31 and a leg base 32. The main post 31 is provided, in an interior thereof, with an operation mechanism. The operation mechanism can be of any known structural arrangement or design and constitutes no novel part of this invention so that further details will not be discussed herein. The main post 31 has top to which a mechanism seat 33 that is operatively coupled with the internally arranged operation mechanism is mounted. The main post 31 of each of the table legs 3 has a lower end that is coupled to a leg base 32 positionable on a ground surface or a fixture surface.

The tabletop 4 is mounted to the carrier mechanism 2 according to the present invention.

In practice, firstly, the two carrying members 21 of the carrier mechanism 2 are set to respectively cover, with one end thereof, the mechanism seats 33 of two table legs 3. The receiving space 213 defined between the two side plates 212 of each of the two carrying members 21 have a width that corresponds to the respective mechanism seat 33 so that the mechanism seat 33 is receivable and thus fit into the receiving space 213. With the mechanism seat 33 being so covered by the carrying members 21, the two side plates 212 of the carrying member 21 are exactly located on and positioned against two opposite sides of the mechanism seat 33. Next, the two suspension arms 23 of the carrier mechanism 2 are respectively set on the mechanism seats 33 of the two table legs 3 and the notches 232 of the suspension arms 23 respectively receive the carrying members 21 to fit therein, allowing the two lugs 233 of each of the suspension arms 23 to be respectively positioned on outside surfaces of the two side plates 212 of the respective carrying member 21 and a lower end of the edge board 234 of each of the suspension arms 23 is set on and in abutting engagement with the mechanism seat 33. The threading fasteners A are then applied to penetrate or screw through the lugs 233 of the suspension arms 23, the side plates 212 of the carrying members 21, and the mechanism seats 33 for fixing, thereby combining the two carrier mechanisms 2 with the two table legs 3, respectively, as a unitary structure.

Then, two ends of the connection member 22 are respectively received into interior spaces of the channels 214 of the carrying members 21, wherein the first planar plate 221 and the second planar plate 222 of the connection member 22 are respectively positioned against a back side of the carrying surface 211 of each carrying member 21 and a bottom of each channel 214, while the vertical plate 223 of the connection member 22 is positioned against one sidewall of each channel 214, namely an inside surface of the side plate 212 of each carrying member 21. Based on a desired length of the tabletop 4, an overall length of the connection member 22 and the two carrying members 21 so combined is selected and adjusted, and then threading fasteners B are applied to screw from an outside surface of the channel 214 of each carrying member 21 to have the connection member 22 and the two carrying members 21 fixedly coupled to each other. Afterwards, the tabletop 4 is laid flat on the two carrying members 21, the connection member 22, and the suspension arms 23 of the carrier mechanism 2, and finally, a plurality of threading fasteners C are applied to respectively screw through the carrying surfaces 211 of the carrying members 21, the fixing plate 2211 of the first planar plate 221 of the connection member 22, and the flat boards 231 of the suspension arms 23 to further screw into the tabletop 4. Meanwhile, a control box 5 that is operable to control operation of the mechanism seats 33 is disposed in the receiving space 213 of one of the carrying members 21 with the control box 5 being electrically connected to the mechanism seats 33 to thereby complete assembly of the electrical table. After this, the control box 5 can be operated to drive, through the mechanism seats 33, the main posts 31 of the table legs 3 to ascend and/or descend so as to achieve the effect of height adjustment.

Further, also referring to FIG. 8, in combining the present invention with the tabletop 4, the tabletop 4 is set to have a back side thereof laid flat on and fixed to the carrying members 21, the connection member 22, and the suspension arms 23 of the carrier mechanism 2 of the present invention, wherein with the carrier mechanism 2 according to the present invention, the carrying surfaces 211 of two carrying members 21, the first planar plate 221 of the connection member 22, and the flat boards 231 of the two suspension arms 23 allow the tabletop 4 to gain excellent levelness and stability during fixing, while the side plates 212 and the channels 214 of the two carrying members 21 that vertically project downward and the first planar plate 221, the second planar plate 222, and the vertical plate 223 of the connection member 22 are arranged to have the carrying members 21 and the connection member 22 collaboratively increase a supporting strength of an overall structure of the carrier mechanism 2, so that even though they are fabricated with metal sheets may still offer sufficient strength to support the tabletop 4. Further, as shown in FIGS. 7 and 9, the lower ends of the edge boards 234 of two suspension arms 23 the edge board 234 are set on and placed in abutting engagement with the mechanism seats 33 so that with the edge boards 234, which are generally vertically arranged, abutting the mechanism seat 33, a better supporting strength could be provided by the two suspension arms 23 to support the tabletop 4.

Further, for a control box 5 that has an excessively large size, when the connection member 22 is fit into the channels 214 of the carrying members 21, internal spaces of the channels 214 and the receiving space 213 are reduced due to the connection member 22 penetrating therein so that the large-sized control box 5 may not be fixed therein. To handle such an issue, as shown in FIG. 10, in a different embodiment of this invention, the connection member 22, which is also formed through pressing and folding a metal plate, is structured such that the connection member 22 comprises a first planar plate 221, a second planar plate 222, and a vertical plate 223 connected to the first planar plate 221 and the second planar plate 222; however, the first planar plate 221 and the second planar plate 222 are respectively extended from two opposite sides of the vertical plate 223 in opposite directions and two side portions of the second planar plate 222 are each formed with an elongated slot 2221 penetrating therethrough.

Further, as shown in FIG. 11, in practice, the connection member 22 are fit to outside surfaces of the channels 214 of the two carrying members 21, and after a desired adjustment of length is done, a plurality of threading fasteners B are applied to set through the elongated slots 2221 on the two side portions of the second planar plate 222 of the connection member 22 to screw into the channels 214 of the two carrying members 21 to fixedly couple the connection member 22 with the two carrying members 21. Further, the suspension arms 23 each comprise a flat board 231 in a planar form and the flat board 231 is formed, in a middle portion thereof, with a notch 232. The notch 232 of the suspension arm 23 receives the respective carrying member 21 to fit therein with two lugs 233 of the suspension arm 23 respectively positioned against outside surfaces of the two side plates 212 of the respective carrying member 21. Then, threading fasteners A are screwed through the lugs 233 of the suspension arms 23, the side plates 212 of the carrying members 21, and the mechanism seats 33 for fixing, thereby combining the two carrier mechanisms 2 with the two table legs 3, respectively, as a unitary structure. Next, also referring to FIGS. 12 and 13, the tabletop 4 is laid flat on the carrying members 21, the connection member 22, and the suspension arms 23 of the carrier mechanism 2, finally, a plurality of threading fasteners C are applied to respectively screw through the carrying surfaces 211 of the carrying members 21, the first planar plate 221 of the connection member 22, a and the flat boards 231 of the suspension arms 23 to further screw into the tabletop 4. Since the connection member 22 is set on outside surfaces of the channels 214 of the two carrying members 21, a large amount space of the receiving space 213 of each of the two carrying members 21 can be preserved for receiving the large-sized control box 5 to be disposed therein. In this way, the large-sized control box 5 is receivable in the receiving space 213 of one of the carrying members 21 and the control box 5 is electrically connected with the mechanism seat 33 to complete the assembly of the electrical table. After this, the control box 5 can be operated to drive, through the mechanism seats 33, the main posts 31 of the table legs 3 to ascend and/or descend so as to achieve the effect of height adjustment.

The efficacy of the present invention is that the carrier mechanism 2 according to the present invention comprises two carrying members 21, a connection member 22, and two suspension arms 23, which provide a sufficient supporting force to a tabletop 4 fixed thereon, wherein the carrying surfaces 211 of the carrying members 21, the first planar plate 221 of the connection member 22, and the flat boards 231 of the suspension arms 23 are arranged to provide the tabletop 4 with excellent levelness and stability. In addition, the carrying members 21, the connection member 22, and the suspension arms 23 of the carrier mechanism 2 are all formed through pressing and folding metal plates so that the material cost and the processing cost are both low and products thereof are made light in weight, which facilitates transportation of the products, thereby improving competition power of the products.

It will be understood that each of the elements described above, or two or more together may also find a useful application in other types of methods differing from the type described above.

While certain novel features of this invention have been shown and described and are pointed out in the annexed claim, it is not intended to be limited to the details above, since it will be understood that various omissions, modifications, substitutions and changes in the forms and details of the device illustrated and in its operation can be made by those skilled in the art without departing in any way from the claims of the present invention.

Claims

1. An electrical table carrier mechanism, comprising:

two carrying members, each of which comprises a carrying surface in a planar form and having two sides each comprising a side plate vertically extending downward therefrom, the two side plate defining and delimiting a receiving space, wherein one of the side plates is extended and folded from a location in proximity of one end toward an opposite end to form a partially open channel;
a connection member fit into interior spaces of the channels of the two carrying members, the connection member comprising a first planar plate, a second planar plate, and a vertical plate connected to the first planar plate and the second planar plate; and
two suspension arms, each of which comprises a flat board in a planar form, a notch being formed in a middle portion of the flat board to receive a respective one of the carrying members to fit therein, the flat board comprising two lugs extending downward from two ends of the notch.

2. The electrical table carrier mechanism according to claim 1, wherein the first planar plate of the connection member comprises at least fixing plate for fixing.

3. The electrical table carrier mechanism according to claim 1, wherein each of the suspension arms comprises an edge board extending downward from one side of the notch.

4. An electrical table, comprising the electrical table carrier mechanism according to claim 1 and a pair of table legs and a tabletop, wherein the table legs each comprise a main post and a leg base, the main post being provided therein with an operation mechanism, the main post having a top to which a mechanism seat that is operatively coupled with the internally arranged operation mechanism is mounted, the two carrying members of the carrier mechanism being set to respectively cover, with one end thereof, mechanism seats on the main posts of the table legs, respectively, the tabletop having a back side that is positioned on and fixed to the carrying members, the connection member, and the suspension arms of the carrier mechanism.

5. The electrical table according to claim 4, wherein the mechanism seats on the tops of the main posts of the table legs of the electrical table are each disposed in the receiving space defined by the side plates of a respectively one of the carrying members.

6. The electrical table according to claim 5, wherein each of the mechanism seats has a width that corresponds to a width of the receiving space defined by the two side plates of the respective one of the carrying members.

7. The electrical table according to claim 4, wherein the edge boards of the suspension arms of the carrier mechanism are set on and in abutting engagement with the mechanism seats on the tops of the main posts of the table legs of the electrical table, respectively.

8. The electrical table according to claim 4, wherein a control box is disposed in the receiving spaces of the carrying members of the carrier mechanism to control operation of the mechanism seats.

9. An electrical table carrier mechanism, comprising:

two carrying members, each of which comprises a carrying surface in a planar form and having two sides each comprising a side plate vertically extending downward therefrom, the two side plate defining and delimiting a receiving space, wherein one of the side plates is extended and folded from a location in proximity of one end toward an opposite end to form a partially open channel;
a connection member fit to outside of the channels of the two carrying members, the connection member comprising a first planar plate, a second planar plate, and a vertical plate connected to the first planar plate and the second planar plate, the first planar plate and the second planar plate extending from two opposite sides of the vertical plate in opposite directions; and
two suspension arms, each of which comprises a flat board in a planar form, a notch being formed in a middle portion of the flat board to receive a respective one of the carrying members to fit therein, the flat board comprising two lugs extending downward from two ends of the notch.

10. The electrical table carrier mechanism according to claim 9, wherein the second planar plate has two side portions each formed with an elongated slot.

11. An electrical table, comprising the electrical table carrier mechanism according to claim 9 and a pair of table legs and a tabletop, wherein the table legs each comprise a main post and a leg base, the main post being provided therein with an operation mechanism, the main post having a top to which a mechanism seat that is operatively coupled with the internally arranged operation mechanism is mounted, the two carrying members of the carver mechanism being set to respectively cover, with one end thereof, mechanism seats on the main posts of the table legs, respectively, the tabletop having a back side that is positioned on and fixed to the carrying members, the connection member, and the suspension arms of the carrier mechanism.

12. The electrical table according to claim 11, wherein the mechanism seats on the tops of the main posts of the table legs of the electrical table are each disposed in the receiving space defined by the side plates of a respectively one of the carrying members.

13. The electrical table according to claim 12, wherein each of the mechanism seats has a width that corresponds to a width of the receiving space defined by the two side plates of the respective one of the carrying members.

14. The electrical table according to claim 11, wherein a control box is disposed in the receiving spaces of the carrying members of the carrier mechanism to control operation of the mechanism seats.
