Description
FIELD OF INVENTION

The present invention generally relates to cosmetic industry and various tools and devices used for makeup. More specifically, present invention is a unique eye liner imprinting device particularly for imprinting “Cat-Eye shaped eyeliner” capable of automatically imprinting perfect “Cat Eyes” or “Wings” or any other shape, on both eyes, quickly just by pressing an outwardly protruding horizontal bar.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Eyeliner is a type of makeup used in the cosmetic industry, generally to enhance beauty of the eyes and make them look more attractive. It comes in various colors like black, blue, brown, green etc. and varying consistencies like liquids, gels and pencils. Normally, it is freely drawn around the upper and lower eyelash region by an applicator that has a brush or a felt-tip resembling the nib of a pen at one end; made out of synthetic hair or soft, rubber-like material called accuflex. To simplify more, the body of the eyeliner itself may also be extended to a winged part (also called CAT EYE) which is extended beyond the limit of the eyelid and can be of various shapes as desired. Since the eyeliner is drawn with a FREE hand on the upper eyelid, the entire application procedure is usually HIGHLY dependent on manual skills of the user relying heavily on experience, practice and stability of the hands. Since the main aesthetic appeal lies with the eyeliner being neatly drawn over each eyelid as well as both eyes having similar shapes and angle of the ‘wings’, it can be a difficult task to achieve for most users especially beginners. Not to mention, the free-hand application can take many-a-tries and subsequently become a very time-consuming task.

Many users experience shakiness of the hands when applying an eyeliner which makes it difficult even for trained professionals to draw perfect eyeliner shapes particularly shapes having a wing or cat-eye shape at the outermost corner.

All these commonly experienced issues are not only time-consuming but also lead to a lot of frustration at the user's end up to a point that they sometimes discourage many users to completely abandon using eyeliners altogether.

Looking into this issue, some people have ventured out in developing tools and applicators which attempt to make this job error free.

PRIOR ART PATENTS AND THEIR LIMITATIONS

  • 1. U.S. Pat. No. 9,635,924 B1 discloses a cat eye makeup applicator with a handle and a cat eye stamping member having a base portion for detachable and attachable connection to the handle and having left-side and right-side, mirror image stamping surfaces for transferring eyeliner to a user's skin and claiming to create perfect, symmetrical cat eyes. This patent broadly comprises of a handle having distal end and an attachable or detachable cat eye stamping member having a left-side cat eye stamp and a right-side cat eye stamp.
    • The main drawback of prior art patent is that it has a 180 degree straight structure which makes it almost necessary to have stable hands for a precise application, hence are not very convenient to use for those with shaky hands.
    • In comparison, the present invention discloses a device which imprints a major part of the eyeliner. Present invention consists of body of the device (a of FIG. 5) having two diagonally opposite, bent portions (b of FIG. 5) at an angle (92-145 degrees) (c of FIG. 6) on both ends, imprinting assembly (e of FIG. 5) fitted on each bent portion (b of FIG. 5) on both sides of body of the device (a of FIG. 5). Each bent portion (b of FIG. 5) has a channel (d of FIG. 6) through which an imprinting assembly (e of FIG. 5) is attached. Another embodiment comprises a body (FIG. 4) with two button holes on each side, eyeliner imprinting stamps (iii), one for each eye and a mechanism to operate the eyeliner automatically by press of button, one each for each eye. The said universal eyeliner imprinting device which imprints not only the wing but also a major part of eyelid area.
  • 2. CA 2814118 A1 discloses an apparatus for assisting in the application of eyeliner. A handle connects to a shaped member, such as a metal rod, which comprises a guide portion for abutting against a user's eyelid. Users may apply eyeliner by drawing an eyeliner applicator along a side of the guide portion. The guide portion may optionally end in a wing, allowing users to draw eyeliner “wings”. A nose bridge may be situated between the guide portion and the handle, allowing the apparatus to be positioned across a user's nose. The handle may comprise a smudge with which a user may smudge eyeliner after it has been applied.
    • This prior art patent is just an assisting apparatus and is still de-pendent of manual skill of the user.

No technical details as to how much area will this cover are provided. Moreover, it is not disclosing body of the device (a of FIG. 5), as disclosed in present patent application.
  • 4. US D 761,489 S being a design patent of eyeliner application device but it is a wedge like shaped device and is only an imprinting assembly which can be used by holding it in hand. No mechanism or extension of this is provided which can give stability to it while using whereas in the present invention, due care has been taken so that the shakiness of hands is avoided while using the present invention.
  • 5. US D 683,071 S being a design patent of eyeliner applicator has although two imprinting assemblies fixed on a straight rod but these assemblies are not meant to imprint the body of the eyeliner but can only imprint the wing part. Moreover, there is no mention of the manner in which the imprinting shape is positioned with reference to universal reference point of the eye. Present invention clearly discloses the same so that a CLEAR view of the position of the eyeliner being imprinted in INDIRECT vision (in the mirror) to give the user complete control over the position and angulation of the shape being imprinted.

PRIOR ART COMMERCIAL PRODUCTS AND THEIR LIMITATIONS

Existing imprinting devices in the current market are only aligned towards wing application, they fail to imprint the body of eyeliner.

One such product is sold under the brand name of ‘Vamp stamp’. The product is ONLY targeted towards imprinting the wing part of the eyeliner; thereby still leaving behind the problem of drawing the main body of the eyeliner especially for users wanting to imprint eyeliners with no wing at the end. Additionally, the straight 180 degree structure of the device compromises the user's ability to properly view the imprinting surface in indirect vision. This limits the user's ability to judge where the stamp is printing as while using it, the hand or the device itself blocks the user's view. Further, its straight structure demands the user to lift their hand and elbow up in the air. This compromises the accuracy of placement of the imprinting surface especially for users with trembling hands.

Another product is sold under the name ‘Sanfillipo Wing It’ which is a pen-shaped stamping device. However, the device still does not cater to imprinting the inside body of the eyeliner and provides only the ability of imprinting the wing part. For the main body of the eyeliner, the user is still expected to freely draw with a nib-like tip as is the case with most eyeliner applicators. Because it caters ONLY to the wing part of the eyeliner, it is of no use to users wanting to imprint eyeliners without any wing. Further, the 180 degree structure of the device limits the visibility of the imprinting surface and it also does not cater to people with shaky hands.

There is yet another product sold under the name ‘Quick Flick’ which is quite similar to the above mentioned product ‘Sanfillipo Wing It’. The only difference being that this device consists of two pen-like stamping devices instead of one-one for each eye with a nib-like tip at the other end of each. Again, the device still does not cater to imprinting the inside body of the eyeliner and provides the ability of imprinting only the wing part. The 180 degree structure does not cater to people with shaky hands and those not requiring a wing at the end of the eyeliner. Above all, each set consists of 2 separate pen like devices which make them inconvenient to carry. Next, there are some GENERIC eyeliner imprinting stamps available but they do not have any body attached to the stamps. This completely negates the purpose of the stamps because to apply them, the user's hands/arm blocks the view of the stamp in the indirect mirror vision and hinders the accurate placement of the eyeliner. Not only this, it is very difficult to apply uniform pressure in such a setup and thus becomes almost useless for most users. Furthermore, most of these have a complete eye design which is impossible to cater to various shapes and sizes of eyes of the users around the world.

Lastly, there are some thin and small cellophane-sheet plastic STENCILS available. As with all stencils, this procedure is highly dependent on the base below the stencil not moving (in this case, it is the user's eyelid) which most often is not easy or convenient. This makes the entire process cumbersome as even the slightest movement of the eye results in imprecise application thereby diffusing the usage of an eyeliner aide.

Therefore, it can be concluded from the above that in spite of all the eye liner aides available currently, the proposed invention is NOVEL as it takes care of all the problems not solved by currently available devices.

OBJECT OF THE PRESENT INVENTION

Primary object of the present invention is to disclose a unique universal eye liner imprinting device capable of imprinting above the eyelash area, thereby reducing dependence on personal skill. Yet another object of the present invention is to disclose a unique universal eye liner imprinting device which can imprint not only the wing but can imprint entire outer ⅓rd to ½ of the eyelash area in order to drastically increase the utility in people who are beginners in eye makeup or do not possess the necessary skills to draw neat eyeliner shapes.

One more object of the invention is to disclose a unique universal eye liner imprinting device which may be flexible and may be made in bent design and is thus easy for users with shaky hands.

Still another object of the present invention is to disclose a universal imprinting device which can imprint eyeliner on the upper eyelid by providing a CLEAR view of the position of the eyeliner being imprinted in INDIRECT vision (in the mirror) so as to give the user complete control over the position and angulation of the shape being imprinted.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

One embodiment of the present invention comprises of a unique imprinting device which imprints a major part (⅓rd to ½ of the upper eye lash and the wing) of the eyeliner by holding it perpendicular to hand position during application and pressing an outwardly protruding horizontal bar. This bar is connected to a naturally open spring via a threaded vertical bar, a screw and a uniquely shaped disc. This spring is compressed by pressing the applicator downward till it gets locked up to the time the user wants. This dual eyeliner applicator has left eyeliner imprinting stamp and right eyeliner imprinting stamp on same end of the device and on same line, thereby enabling it to be stored upright. The other end of the imprinting device has a flat base (x) which may also be used as a storage for the liquid eyeliner.

The eyeliner imprinting stamps are attached to the main body via a screwing mechanism. Hence, left and right applicators are detachable. The applicators can also be replaced with different sized/shaped applicators to create new shapes and sizes without replacing the entire imprinting device; thus making the present device a universal device for all sized/shaped applicators.

This eyeliner applicator device is bendable to any degree and angle thereby providing the user with utmost comfort while application by enabling the user to support its arm on a stable surface such as a tabletop.

Another embodiment of the present invention presents a mechanical device for imprinting eyeliner on the upper eyelid in mistake-proof way. It can be broadly distinguished into two functional portions—an imprinting assembly and the body of the device.

The imprinting assembly provides a simple yet effective way to imprint not just the wing but also a major part of the eyeliner (outer half of the body of the eyeliner which may or may not end in a wing) on the upper eyelid whilst providing a clear view of the position as well as angulation of the imprinting shape with respect to the imprinting area in indirect vision in the mirror. The device makes use of a constant point in each eye (which is where the upper eyelid and lower eyelid meet at the outermost corner) hereby referred to as the Universal Reference Point. Not only this, by positioning the Universal Reference Point in such a way allows for a clear vision of the edge of the wing (incase of imprinting winged eyeliner) thereby allowing the user to rotate the imprinting assembly and in the process adjusting the angle of the wing, thereby solving the problem of unequal angulation of wings in both eyes.

The body of the device consists of a bent design which can be rigid or can be made of a flexible body which can then be bent. This design of the body of the device helps in allowing the user to place their elbow on a stable surface such as table thereby eliminating the need to lift the elbow up in the air. This prevents shakiness of the hands especially in people with shaky, trembling hands and increases the control of the user over the placement of the eyeliner shape over the eyelid.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The present invention can be understood by way of two embodiments as described below.

First Embodiment of the Present Invention (FIGS. 1 to 4)

It discloses a unique device capable of imprinting both eyes with “CAT-EYE SHAPED EYELINER” or “WINGED EYELINER” or any other shape, quickly just by pressing the horizontal bar. Thus a lot of time is saved. Since the user simply has to the press an outwardly protruding horizontal bar, which will make the device automatically imprint the eyeliner above the eyelash, skill required for usage of the imprinting device is bare mini-mum thereby removing dependence on practice and skill for eyeliner application which, otherwise, is a major bottleneck for the user. Further, the device can be easily bent to a convenient angle so that the arm of the user can easily rest on a fixed surface (like a tabletop) and prevent any shakiness or trembling. The dual eyeliner applicators having left eyeliner imprinting stamp and right eyeliner imprinting stamp are on the same end of the device and on same line thereby enabling it to be stored upright. Each of them is detachable and replaceable. The applicators can be replaced with different sized/shaped applicators to create new shapes without replacing the entire imprinting device.

Constructional Details of the First Embodiment

This embodiment of present invention primarily has two positions. One is as shown in FIG. 1 which depicts closed position of the device when it is not in use and the other is FIG. 2 which depicts open position of the device when it is in use. In this case, eyeliner imprinting stamp (A) lifts to a higher position as compared to other eyeliner imprinting stamp (B).

It further comprises the following:

    • Body (FIG. 4) with two button holes on each side making it a total of four holes in the body.
    • Eyeliner imprinting stamps (iii), one for each eye
    • Mechanism to operate the eyeliner automatically by press of button, one each for each eye, such mechanism further comprises of a threaded vertical bar (iv), connected to eyeliner imprinting stamp (iii) on one end, an outwardly protruding contractile horizontal bar (V) attached to the threaded vertical bar (iv), threaded screw (vi) in which threaded vertical bar (iv) is fitted, special disc (vii) which holds the threaded screw (vi), centrally placed channel (viii) with groove to fit in special disc (vii) for its vertical movement, naturally open spring (ix) connected to the special disc (vii).

Method of Working of First Embodiment

When the device is not in use, it looks like FIG. 1. This position is achieved when the 1st button from the top (i) is pressed and the outward protrusion of horizontal bar (V) contracts in response. A downward force is simultaneously applied on the eyeliner imprinting stamp (iii) which pushes the entire imprinting assembly downwards until the horizontal bar (V) gets stuck in button hole (ii).

This holds the vertical bar (iv) at this position.

When device is in use, it looks like FIG. 2 wherein the imprinting assembly in position (A) is ready to use for imprinting on one eye. 2nd button from the top (ii) is pressed which releases the attachment of the horizontal bar (V) from the 2nd button hole (ii) and moves the imprinting assembly (A) upward due to the naturally open nature of the spring (ix). The horizontal bar (V) is now stuck in 1st button from the top (i) making the ready to use imprinting assembly (A) higher than (B).

The product has a flexible body that can be bent to easily create an angle of about 60-70 degrees as shown in FIG. 3. This helps in supporting the user's elbow on a fixed surface (such as a tabletop) and hence preventing shakiness of the hand which might affect the application procedure.

The detailed method of use of present invention as well as working mechanism comprises the following steps:

Step 1: 2nd button from the top (ii) is pressed which contracts the horizontal bar (V).
Step 2: As soon as the attachment of the horizontal bar (V) is released from buttonhole (ii), the vertical bar (iv) moves upwards due to the tendency of the naturally open spring (ix) connected to the threaded vertical bar (iv) Via special disc and a threaded screw.
Step 3: Upward movement of threaded vertical bar (iv) is supported as it slides smoothly along the groove of centrally placed channel (viii)
Step 4: This movement of the contractile horizontal bar (V) comes to a halt when it gets stuck in button hole (i)

FIG. 2 (a) and FIG. 2(b) indicate different Views of this position (A) which is higher in height than eyeliner imprinting stamp at position (B) which is not in use.

Step 5: This eyeliner imprinting stamp (A) is now ready to use when dipped in the eyeliner and imprint it on the eye.
Step 6: The device is now bent to a convenient angle of about 60-125 degree so as to support the user's arm and elbow on a stable surface like a tabletop.

Same steps are repeated for eyeliner imprinting stamp (B) for imprinting eyeliner on the other eye. To change the shape and size of eyeliner imprinting stamp (iii), threaded vertical bar to which it is attached is simply needed to be unscrewed out of threaded screw (vi). Another eyeliner imprinting stamp (iii) of different shape and size can be screwed in it to make use. There is no need to replace the entire device.

Key Features and Advantages of First Embodiment

a) The eyeliner imprinting stamp (iii) extends beyond the sole ‘wing’ applicator of the existing devices by imprinting almost the entire outer ⅓rd to ½ of the eyeliner, making the eyeliner application even faster and lesser dependent on skill.
b) The flexible body can be used to create an angle of 60-125 degree in the applicator for preventing shakiness of the hands enabling easier and precise application.
c) The detachable eyeliner imprinting stamp (iii) can be replaced with different shapes and sizes of applicators without the need to buy entire applicators.
d) Detachable eyeliner imprinting stamp (iii) ensure they can be washed and dried before attaching them to the body preventing water seepage into the body of the device and thereby prolonging its life.

Second Embodiment of the Present Invention (FIGS. 6 to 11)

One more embodiment may also have a pen-like applicator included with the eyeliner imprinting stamp(s) with or without the above mentioned dispenser to result in a complete solution for an eyeliner tool that can be used by beginners as well as makeup experts.

It may also have a special mechanism for dispensing eyeliner automatically from within the device onto the imprinting surface.

Constructional Details of the Second Embodiment

The said universal eyeliner imprinting device which imprints not only the wing but also a major part of eyelid area comprises:

    • Body of the device (a of FIG. 5) having two diagonally opposite, bent portions (b of FIG. 5) on both ends.
    • Imprinting assembly (e of FIG. 5) fitted on each bent portion (b of FIG. 5) on both sides of body of the device (a of FIG. 5).
    • The bent portions (b of FIG. 5) are at an angle (92-145 degrees) (c of FIG. 6)
    • Each bent portions (b of FIG. 5) has a channel (d of FIG. 6) through which an imprinting assembly (e of FIG. 5) is attached.

The imprinting assembly (e of FIG. 5) which can be rotated, adjusting the angle of the wing manually consists of imprinting shape (i of FIG. 8) with length of the edge of imprinting shape (h of FIG. 7, 8) ranging from 4.5 mm to 14.5 mm. This imprinting assembly (e of FIG. 5) can be placed over a lifting platform which can increase the height of the imprinting shape.

The imprinting shape (i of FIG. 8) is positioned away from the rest of the body of the device (a of FIG. 5) in such a way that it depicts the exact position of the imprinting shape (i of FIG. 8) with respect to the eyelid area in order to allow a clear vision of its position in the indirect vision (FIG. 17).

Co-ordinates of Equivalent of Universal reference Point (g of FIG. 7, 8) to lowest point of cross section of remaining imprinting assembly (f of FIG. 7,8 9) are horizontally ranging from 4 mm to 9 mm and vertically ranging from 0.5 mm to 2.5 mm.

Angle of top half of imprinting assembly (e of FIG. 7, 8, 9) to lower half of imprinting assembly (e of FIGS. 7, 8, 9): 4 to 9 degree

Height of top half of imprinting assembly (e of FIG. 7, 8, 9): 6 mm to 10 mm

All these dimensions and measurements are critically important to achieve the object of the present invention that it should give a CLEAR view of the position of the eyeliner being imprinted in INDIRECT vision (in the mirror) so as to give the user complete control over the position and angulation of the shape being imprinted, to achieve accuracy and to imprint not only the wing part of eyeliner but also a major part of the inside body of the eyeliner.

This imprinting assembly (e of FIG. 5) provides a simple yet effective way to imprint not just the wing but also the outer half of the body of the eyeliner (which may or may not end in a wing), on the upper eyelid. Additionally whilst doing this, imprinting assembly (e of FIG. 5) also provides a clear view of the position as well as angulation of the imprinting shape with respect to the imprinting area in indirect vision in the mirror.

The device makes use of a constant point in each eye, which is where the upper eyelid and lower eyelid meet at the outermost corner, hereby referred to as the Universal Reference Point (r of FIG. 14). The equivalent of this point (g of FIG. 7, 8) in the imprinting shape (i of FIG. 8) is positioned laterally from the rest of the body of the device (a of FIG. 5) in such a way that it allows a clear vision of its position in the indirect vision. (FIG. 13 and FIG. 17). This can then, be made use of by the user by placing this point on the Universal Reference Point (r of FIG. 14) and thereby depicting the exact position of the imprinting shape (i of FIG. 8) in respect to the eyelid area.

Not only this, by positioning the equivalent of Universal Reference Point (g of FIG. 7,8) in such a way allows for a clear vision of the edge of the wing (h of FIG. 12,13) (in case of imprinting winged eyeliner) thereby allowing the user to rotate the imprinting assembly (e of FIG. 5) as illustrated in FIG. 17, and in the process adjusting the angle of the wing, thereby solving the problem of unequal angulation of wings in both eyes.

The material composition of the eyeliner imprinting stamps (iii of FIG. 2 a) and imprinting assembly (e of FIG. 7, 8, 9) is a flexible material that adapts to the contours of the upper eyelid of the user.

Key Features and Advantages of Second Embodiment of the Present Invention

a) The current invention provides a unique structural construction of the device by which eyeliner can be imprinted over the upper eyelid without experiencing the functional difficulty of the user's hands or the device itself blocking the user's view in indirect vision. This is done by placing the equivalent of the Universal Reference Point in the eyeliner shape laterally from the rest of the main body of the device in fixed and calculated measurements. This helps the user to clearly envision the region and position of the imprinting eyeliner shape.
b) The placement of the eyeliner imprinting surface in the above mentioned way also provides a clear view of the lateral edge of the eyeliner so that the users can rotate the device depending upon their preference and control the angulation of the wings thereby eliminating the problem of unequal angulation of the wings in both eyes.
c) The body of the device presents a bent design such that the user can rest their elbow on the rigid surface such as a table and then begin imprinting the eyeliner. This prevents shakiness of the hands especially in people with shaky, trembling hands and increases the control of the user over the placement of the eyeliner shape over the eyelid.
d) The imprinting surface is designed in such a way that it not only imprints the wing portion of the eyeliner but also a major part of the body of the eyeliner as well. The imprinting shape extends to a point where it can be used to imprint a maximum area of the eyelid without conforming to any specific shapes of eyes (like being equally useful for almond, round, deep-set or any other shape of eyes). This helps the device in being useful universally.
e) Imprinting a major part of the body of the eyeliner is helpful for users who are looking to imprint eyeliner shapes without the wing at the end. It also helps fasten the process of eyeliner application to such an extent that it can be completed in a matter of seconds.
f) The eyeliner imprinting assembly can be of different shapes and sizes, with or without wings, to allow the users to change the imprinting shape according to their preference or occasion.

Therefore to conclude, the present invention aims not only to drastically decrease the time and skills the user requires to spend on completing their entire eyeliner and not just the wing. It also aims at providing full control to the user to exactly envision where the eyeliner is being imprinted and also prevent shakiness of the user's hands by the inbuilt bent design of the body of the device. All this enables users even with beginner level skills to imprint the maximum amount of eyeliner (and not just the wing) in matter of seconds and as precisely as possible. No other device available enables eyeliner application with this efficiency.

NOVELTY, INVENTIVE STEP AND INDUSTRIAL APPLICATION Novelty

The novelty of the first embodiment of the present invention lies in developing a device which is a unique universal eye liner imprinting device capable of automatic imprinting above the eyelash area, thus reducing dependence on personal skill. The device has detachable eyeliner stamps for both eyes in same device. It can imprint not only the wing but the entire outer ⅓rd to ½ of the eyelash area making the eyeliner application faster than the existing products. This universal eye liner imprinting device is flexible, can be bent at any angle and in any direction, is easy to use and economical. It also has a provision of storage and dispensing of liquid eyeliner in the device body itself making it a complete solution in itself for eyeliner application.

The novelty of the second embodiment of the present invention lies in developing a device targeted towards imprinting a major part of the body of the eyeliner (which may or may not end in winged design) in a way that it suits almost all shapes and sizes of eyes universally. And in doing so, the device provides a fool-proof method by which the imprinting surface is clearly visible in indirect vision which is achieved by placing the imprinting surface in prior disclosed dimensions on top of the rest of the body. Additionally, the body of the device is bent at an angle which further helps supplement the visibility and control given by the device to user, especially people suffering from shaky hands.

No such device is available in the commercial market or in patent database which discloses these features of present invention. Thus the invention qualifies for novelty.

Inventive Step

The technical advancement of the knowledge in the first embodiment of the present invention lies in disclosing a complete device with specially developed mechanism using a naturally open spring which is compressed by pressing the applicator downward till it gets lock up to the time the user wants. During use, the operator has to bring the eyeliner imprinting stamp (iii) of the device close to its eye by holding it perpendicular to its arm and pressing the horizontal bar (V) thereby releasing the eyeliner imprinting stamp (iii) and resulting in an eyeliner imprint above the eyelash area. This automatizes the imprinting procedure thereby reducing dependence on manual effort. Dual eyeliner imprinting stamps (iii) for both eyes are detachable and replaceable. They are available on the same end of the device. The device may also provide a special mechanism for dispensing eyeliner automatically from the within the device onto the imprinting surface. The material of the device is flexible making it bend at any required comfortable angle. Detachable eyeliner imprinting stamp (iii) is achieved by providing threads on the vertical bar so that it can be easily unthreaded from the body. Thus due intellectual effort has been put in by the applicant to come up with this universal eyeliner applicator device.

The technical advancement of the second embodiment of the present invention lies in disclosing a complete device with calculated measurements which enables the user to exactly view the position and angulation at which the shape is being imprinted. This is done by defining a ‘UNIVERSAL REFERENCE POINT’ which is constant in every eye. This is the point where the upper eyelid and lower eyelid meet at the outermost corner. The equivalent of this point on the imprinting shape is carefully placed over the device at a distance of 4 mm to 9 mm horizontally from the lowest point of cross section of remaining imprinting assembly and 0.5 mm to 2.5 mm vertically downwards from the lowest point of the circular platform. These dimensions are important because they enable the eyeliner imprinting surface to be far enough so that the user can distinguish the ‘Universal Reference Point’ in INDIRECT vision but close enough to the body of the device so as to enable controlled pressure of the imprinting surface over the eyelid.

The placement of this equivalent of ‘Universal Reference Point’ away from the body of the device in the above calculated dimensions also allows viewing the outermost edge of the eyeliner or the wing (incase of winged eyeliner shapes) clearly in indirect vision which provides the user full view and control. Thereby eliminating the age-old problem of angle of the wings not being similar in both the eyes.

Further, the curvatures of the eyeliner shapes allow for accommodation of almost every eye shape by rotating the shape clockwise or anti-clockwise.

Additionally, the extent to which the body of the eyeliner shape extends inside is calculated to the point where it is long enough to cover as much region of the eye as possible but small enough so the user can finish off the application depending upon their eye shape.

The eyeliner shape is attached on top of a platform which further supplements a clear view of the eyeliner shape by helping the user distinguish it clearly in the mirror.

The body of the device is bent at an angle such that it helps the user place their elbow on a stable surface and then use the device so that the device does not move and spoil the application even for users with shaky hands.

INDUSTRIAL APPLICATION

The present invention is a breakthrough in cosmetic industry related products because no imprinting device of the above kind are commercially available. It is easy to manufacture at industrial level and can be made in bulk to cater to worldwide need of beauty and cosmetic industry. It solves the user's problems and so has a demand in the market. Thus it qualifies for industrial application as well.
