BACKGROUND OF THE PRESENT INVENTION Field of Invention

The present invention relates to a flexible desk, and more particularly to a desk that is capable of flexibly adjusting, removing, and/or changing its office furniture units, such as the keyboard holder and drawer cabinet, according to the user's seating position, which facilitates office works.

Description of Related Arts

Nowadays, in the era of dynamic business environment with multitasking requirements, people need office desks to handle their works every day. As a result, the design of office desk can impact the quality and efficiency of work to a certain extent.

A typical office desk generally has a fixed drawer cabinet arranged under the desktop for storage. With the rise of multitasking needs in the modern offices, office desks are equipped with a variety of computer devices. As a result, a limited desktop space may not be sufficient for placing all the computer devices and other items. Therefore, in order to solve this issue, conventional technology extends the length of the desktop, and attaches the keyboard holder and drawer cabinets to the underside of the desktop so as to expand the available space of a desk.

Although the available desktop space can really be increased by extending the desktop length, nevertheless when the user needs to move from the center to either sides of the desk for utilizing the desktop space there, the drawer cabinets and keyboard holder, which are fixed and incapable of flexible moving according to the user's new seating position, can cause difficulties for the user to use the computer keyboard or reach the drawer cabinets after he/she has moved. Consequently, the available desktop space for the user is still limited to the central area of the desk, and the additional desktop space is usually wasted and not likely to be utilized effectively.

In view of the drawbacks render by the lack of flexibility of the conventional office desks, the present inventor creates the present invention with ingenuity based on his rich experiences in manufacturing and designing the apparatuses in relative fields.

SUMMARY OF THE PRESENT INVENTION

An object of the present invention is to provide an adjustable desk that allows the keyboard holder and drawer cabinet(s) to move according to the user's sitting positions, and allow changes of the office furniture units for various purposes, so as to facilitate office works.

In order to achieve the above and other objects, the present inventor has created and developed an adjustable desk, which comprises a long desktop that comprises at least two legs attached to at least two sides thereof respectively, at least one slide rail mounted on the bottom surface of the desktop along the length direction thereof, and at least a sliding member slidably arranged in the slide rail, which comprises a connector connected with the sliding member, and at least one office furniture unit connected with the connector of the sliding member.

According to an embodiment of the adjustable desk, two slide rails are respectively mounted at the front and rear side on the bottom of the desktop in a parallel manner, wherein each slide rail comprises at least a sliding member, wherein the connectors of the sliding members of the two slide rails are respectively attached to the front and rear side of the office furniture unit.

According to an embodiment of the adjustable desk, the office furniture unit is a keyboard holder.

According to an embodiment of the adjustable desk, the office furniture unit is a drawer cabinet.

According to an embodiment of the adjustable desk, the office furniture unit includes a keyboard holder and a drawer cabinet.

In this way, when the user changes his/her seating position, the sliding members allow the keyboard holder and the drawer cabinet to be moved along the slide rails along the length direction of the desktop so as for flexibly adjusting the keyboard holder and drawer cabinet to the user's new seating position in order to allow the user to operate the keyboard or to reach the drawer cabinet without being limited in a certain location at the desk for work. Accordingly, it may facilitate office work and increase the utilization of the desktop space.

Still further objects and advantages will become apparent from a consideration of the ensuing description and drawings.

These and other objectives, features, and advantages of the present invention will become apparent from the following detailed description, the accompanying drawings, and the appended claims.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

The following description is disclosed to enable any person skilled in the art to make and use the present invention. Preferred embodiments are provided in the following description only as examples and modifications will be apparent to those skilled in the art. The general principles defined in the following description would be applied to other embodiments, alternatives, modifications, equivalents, and applications without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention.

For a more complete and clear disclosure of the technical means of the present invention and the effects it can achieve, detail descriptions with relative drawings and their numbers are further disclosed as follows.

First, referring to FIGS. 1-3, the present invention provides an adjustable desk, which comprises a long desktop 1, two legs 2, respectively and opposite mounted on the left and right side of the desktop 1, and at least a slide rail 3 mounted on the bottom surface of the desktop 1 along the length direction thereof. The adjustable desk may comprises two slide rails 3 respectively mounted at the front and rear side on the bottom of the desktop in a parallel manner, as illustrated in FIGS. 4 and 5. Besides, each slide rail 3 comprises at least a sliding member 4 slidably arranged therein respectively. Each of the sliding members 4 comprises a connector 41. The adjustable desk further comprises at least an office furniture unit 5, which is attached and connected with the connectors 41 of the sliding members 4. The sliding members 4 and the connectors 41 thereof arranged on two slide rails 3 respectively that are respectively mounted at the front and rear side are also respectively connected with the front and rear side of the office furniture units 5. Also, the office furniture unit 5 may include a keyboard holder 51 and a drawer cabinet 52.

Accordingly, when the user utilizes a desk provided by the present invention for office work, s/he may flexibly adjust the office furniture unit 5 according to his/her seating position. For example, when the user moves from the central position to the left side of the desk, s/he may push the keyboard holder 51 and the drawer cabinet 52 of the office furniture unit (5), so as to utilize the sliding members 4 connected with the keyboard holder 51 and the drawer cabinet 52 and slidably arranged on the slide rails 3 to guide the keyboard holder 51 and the drawer cabinet 52 along the slide rails 3 to reach the left side of the desk. In this way, it enables the user to use the keyboard placed on the keyboard holder 51 to operate the computer and to access the objects stored in the drawer cabinet 52 easily.

On the contrary, when the user moves his/her seating position to the right side of the desk, s/he may then push the keyboard holder 51 and the drawer cabinet 52 to the right side of the desk. Here, the office furniture unit 5, such as the keyboard holder 51, the drawer cabinet 52, and etc., can be flexibly adjusted to the right side of the desk along the length direction of the desktop 1 by means of the sliding members 4 along the slide rails 3, so as to facilitate the user in using the keyboard to operate the computer and accessing the objects stored in the drawer cabinet 52.

Thereby, the adjustable desk provided by the present invention allows the user to flexibly change and adjust the position of the office furniture unit 5, such as the keyboard holder 51, the drawer cabinet 52, and etc., to the his/her seating position at the desk, so as to make it easy for the him/her to utilize the keyboard placed on the keyboard holder 51 to operate the computer or to access the drawer cabinet 52 rather than limit the user to a certain position at the desk for work. In this way, it allows the desktop space to be use effectively.

The embodiments or drawings mentioned above are not intent to limit the implementations of the adjustable desk of the present invention. Besides, appropriate changes or modifications made by those skills in the art shall all be considered within the protected scope of the present invention.

Based on the above structures and descriptions, the present invention has advantages as follows:

1. The adjustable desk provided by the present invention comprises the slide rails arranged on the bottom of the desktop, wherein the slide rails respectively have a sliding member slidably arranged thereon and the sliding members are connected with the office furniture unit, such as the keyboard holder, drawer cabinet, and etc., such that the office furniture unit can be flexibly adjusted to the user's seating position by means of the sliding members slidably arranged on the slide rail, so as to facilitate office work.

2. The adjustable desk provided by the present invention comprises the slide rails arranged on the bottom of the desktop, wherein the slide rails respectively have a sliding member slidably arranged thereon, so as to allow the office furniture unit to be adjusted to the user's seating position and, hence, allow the user to use the desktop space effectively rather than to be limited in a certain place of the desk for work.
