Dual Color Belt

A dual color belt includes a belt body of an elastic webbing with front and back surfaces thereof differently colored so that the front side and back side of the belt body can be selectively used, and a belt buckle having an upper guide groove and a lower guide groove defined in a base component thereof for guiding the front end of the belt body into the base component for enabling the front end of the belt body to be engaged by a clamping plate of the belt buckle. Thus, installation between the belt body and the base component of the belt buckle and replacement between the front side and the back side of the belt body are easy.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to belts for wearing around the waist and more particularly, to a dual color belt, which uses a double-sided belt body with the opposing front and back sides differently color for selective use, and is equipped with a belt buckle having an upper guide groove and a lower guide groove defined in a base component thereof for guiding the insertion of the front end of the belt body into the belt buckle accurately without deviation.

2. Description of the Related Art

Conventional belts, especially the elastic belts with a woven belt body, commonly have the opposing front and back sides of the belt bodies made in one single color. Therefore, if you want to have two color choices, you must purchase two kinds of belts of different colors, which wastes money and takes up storage space.

Further, when the user wants to adjust the length of the belt, the user must loosen the clamping plate of the belt buckle and then take out the belt body and cut the belt body to the required length. When the belt body is to be re-inserted into the belt buckle, it is not easy to align the front end of the belt body and the belt buckle, and the front end of the belt body can be deviated from the correct position after insertion, causing trouble to the user.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention has been accomplished under the circumstances in view. It is the main object of the present invention to provide a dual color belt, which uses a belt body of an elastic webbing with opposing front and back surfaces thereof differently colored so that the front side and back side of the belt body can be selectively used, achieving the effect of double-sided application of the belt body.

It is another object of the present invention to provide a dual color belt, which has an upper guide groove and a lower guide groove defined in a base component of the belt buckle thereof for guiding the front end of the belt body into the base component for enabling the front end of the belt body to be engaged by a clamping plate of the belt buckle. Thus, installation between the belt body and the base component of the belt buckle and replacement between the front side and the back side of the belt body are easy.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Referring to FIGS. 1-6, a dual color belt in accordance with the present invention comprises a belt body 1, a belt buckle 2, and a tailpiece 3.

The belt body 1 is an elastic webbing.

The belt buckle 2 comprises a base component 21, a buckle frame 22 and a tongue 23 pivotally connected to a front side of the base component 21, a clamping plate 24 pivotally connected to an opposing rear side of the base component 21 and having a toothed engagement portion 241 for engaging a front surface 11 (see FIGS. 1, 3 and 5) or an opposing back surface 12 (see FIGS. 1, 4 and 6) of the belt body 1, and a belt keeper 215 (see FIG. 2) located on an outer side of the base component 21 adjacent to the clamping plate 24 for the insertion of the belt body 1.

The tailpiece 3 is a one-piece plastic injection molding with softness and toughness stitched to a rear end of the belt body 1, having a plurality of punch holes 31 spaced along the length thereof for the insertion of the tongue 23 selectively.

The dual color belt is characterized in that the front surface 11 and back surface 12 of the belt body 1 have different colors. In the present preferred embodiment, the front surface 11 of the belt body 1 is provided with at least one white color portion 111 (see FIGS. 1, 2, 3 and 5); the back surface 12 of the belt body 1 is provided with a red color portion 121 (see FIGS. 1, 4 and 6). The front surface 11 and back surface 12 of the belt body 1 can be selectively engaged by the clamping plate 24 of the belt buckle 2. Thus, the front surface 11 and the back surface 12 can be selectively used, that is, the belt has two different colors to choose the convenience and practicality of wearing. The base component 21 of the belt buckle 2 comprises an opening 210, an upper rail 211 (see FIG. 2) and a lower rail 212 (see FIG. 2) disposed at one side of the opening 210 and respectively defining an upper guide groove 213 (see FIG. 2) and a lower guide groove 214 (see FIG. 2) for guiding the front end 10 of the belt body 1 into the base component 21. After insertion of the of the belt body 1 through the upper guide groove 213 and the lower guide groove 214 into the base component 21, the clamping plate 24 is biased to lock the front end 10 of the belt body 1 to the base component 21.

The clamping plate 24 is pivotally connected to the rear side of the base component 21 between the upper rail 211 and the lower rail 212.

Further, the width of the upper guide groove 213 on the base component 21 of the belt buckle 2 is greater than the thickness of the belt body 1, and the width of the lower guide groove 214 is also greater than the thickness of the belt body 1.

In summary, the invention has the characteristics and advantages as follows:

  • 1. The belt body 1 is an elastic webbing having a front surface 11 and an opposing back surface 12 differently colored for selective use to achieve the convenience and practicability of a belt with two different colors to choose to wear. As far as users of consumers are concerned, it is like buying one get one free.
  • 2. The base component 21 of the belt buckle 2 provides an upper guide groove 213 and a lower guide groove 214 for guiding the front end 10 of the belt body 1 into the base component 21, facilitating installation between the belt body 1 and the base component 21 of the belt buckle 2 and replacement between the front side and the back side of the belt body 1.
  • 3. When the user wants to cut the length of the belt body 1, the length of the belt body 1 can be arbitrarily cut, and then the front end 10 of the belt body 1 is conveniently inserted through the upper guiding groove 213 and the lower guiding groove 214 into the base component 21, facilitating installation.

Claims

1. A dual color belt, comprising:

a belt body of an elastic webbing comprising a front end, a rear end opposite to said front end, a front surface and a back surface opposite to said front surface;
a belt buckle comprising a base component, a buckle frame and a tongue pivotally connected to a front side of said base component, a clamping plate pivotally connected to said rear side of said base component and having a toothed engagement portion for selectively engaging the front surface or back surface of said belt body, and a belt keeper located on an outer side of said base component adjacent to said clamping plate for the insertion of said belt body; and
a tailpiece stitched to a rear end of said belt body, said tailpiece being a one-piece plastic injection molding with softness and toughness and having a plurality of punch holes spaced along the length thereof for the insertion of said tongue selectively;
wherein said front surface and said back surface of said belt body have different colors and are selectively engageable by said clamping plate of said belt buckle; said base component of said belt buckle comprises an opening, and an upper rail and a lower rail disposed at one side of said opening and respectively defining an upper guide groove and a lower guide groove for guiding said front end of said belt body into said base component for enabling said front end of said belt body to be engaged by said clamping plate.

2. The dual color belt as claimed in claim 1, wherein said clamping plate is pivotally connected to said rear side of said base component between said upper rail and said lower rail.

3. The dual color belt as claimed in claim 1, wherein the width of said upper guide groove of said base component of said belt buckle is greater than the thickness of sad belt body; the width of said lower guide groove of said base component of said belt buckle is greater than the thickness of sad belt body.
