Static band

I created the Static Band from a combination of my life's elements; exercise, stability and meditation. Through this process, I developed equipment that would help me run safely on a treadmill while I kept my eyes closed. With the utility of my invention, it serves a range of advantages such as stopping the swaying from side-to-side and allowing people with poor vision to exercise comfortably. My invention can serve multiple purposes from your personal health, for the handicap, to build your mental strength, insuring your comfortability and even for safety precaution. Not only does it stop the side-to-side motion but it can also increase your intensity by the restriction of the backwards movement encouraging you to keep pushing while it eliminates visible distractions around you in case of discomfort.

Description
BRIEF SUMMARY OF INVENTION

In general, the Static Band was created to help with your stability while running on a treadmill. The Static Band increases its accessibility by you being able to close your eyes while you run without the fear of falling, this helps eliminate distractions around you or even taking your focus off the time or for instance the blank wall you have to stare at. These two features of the Static Band (stability & the pleasure of closing your eyes) makes it great equipment and a wonderful investment. The Static Band acquires a range of benefits with uses for people who run for distance, the young or old and people with impaired vision.

    • Static=Lacking in movement, action, or change especially in a way viewed as undesirable or uninteresting.
    • Band=A flat, thin strip or loop of material put around something, typically to hold it together or to decorate it.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS

In my application are drawings of my invention in two separate angle views included with a Key that explains the labels on the images labeled as, for example, (FIG. 1, FIG. 2). In image one it gives a rear view of my invention. It depicts an individual standing centered between the handrails of a treadmill while in motion. It shows the design of my invention in use buckled around the handrails of a treadmill and wrapped around the waist of a person. Image two implies the same concept of my invention as image one. Showing a side view of my invention in action added with eye covers to show the imagery of the usability of my invention. With the side view, it gives a clear picture of the functioning of my equipment and the possible utility of it.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF INVENTION

The Static Band was created with an adjustable length×9 inch width, velcro ended fabric belt that wraps a person's waist with 2 extended nylon straps I sewed on attaching them to the left and right side of the harness belt. Its velcro belt allows the different waist sizes and its adjustable nylon straps can be tightened or loosened to fit the different heights or distance of individuals on a treadmill. Between the use of my invention you wrap the fabric belt around your waist with a comfortable tight fit, after stepping onto the treadmill you loop and buckle the nylon straps around the individual handrails of the treadmill making sure to adjust yourself safely, that secures you on centered to begin exercise.

    • Restricts the side-to-side motion while exercising on a treadmill.
    • Can create a joyful experience for people with disabled vision using a treadmill.
    • Its creativity allows you to close your eyes eliminating visible distractions.
    • Reduces the forward and backward movement that helps increase your drive to keep up.
    • Possible safety harness equipment to reduce the injuries of falling.
    • It keeps you centered heightening your treadmill experience.

BACKGROUND OF INVENTION

In my search and analysis of treadmill equipment, I did not find many tools that assist people while exercising on a treadmill machine. The few products I came across along with my invention “Static Band” hold in common a type of harness belt and its own way in helping individuals on a treadmill. One item I found reduced the falling off injuries and arm bumping of a treadmill console by its ability to adjust its distance from the treadmill console. Another product keeps patients harnessed down, in a up lifted position of walking for people whose legs might collapse while exercising and the other product the “Anti-Gravity treadmill” (serial number 77277492) reduced the amount of pressure on a person's joints while exercising on its specialized treadmill machine. In my research, they fail to explain any other functions of their inventions. What makes my invention unique is its lightweight durability and beneficial value. It creates a safely secured, peaceful, reusable experience to your cardiovascular exercise on a treadmill. The Static Band is a great piece of equipment that will give individuals a satisfying experience and create a unique way for treadmill exercise.
