SIDE OPENING STORAGE BOX

Abstract

A side opening storage box includes a body having an opening on the peripheral wall thereof and provided with a buckle structure, and a side cover provided with a positioning structure and a pivot structure. The pivot structure is movably pivoted to the position of the peripheral wall corresponding to the opening so that the side cover can be deflected relative to the peripheral wall to close or open the opening. The positioning structure is detachably installed on the buckle structure to position the side cover on the peripheral wall, achieving the purpose of simple use, convenient access to storage items for users, and improvement of the practicality of the storage box.

Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to storage boxes and more particularly, to a side opening storage box.

2. Description of the Related Art

Storage boxes allow people to place and store life and work items in a unified manner, not only can make the environment cleaner and orderly, but also improve the efficiency and quality of life.

However, if multiple storage boxes are stacked on top of each other, the storage box on the lower layer is not easy to pick and place items, and the user must first move the storage box stacked on top to use the storage box on the lower layer smoothly, causing inconvenience and trouble in use.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention has been accomplished under the circumstances in view. It is the main object of the present invention to provide a side opening storage box, which is easy to use, can also facilitate users to access storage items, and improve the practicality of the storage box.

To achieve this and other objects of the present invention, a side opening storage box provided by the present invention comprises a body and a side cover. The body comprises a top, a bottom, and a peripheral wall ringed between the top and the bottom. The peripheral wall comprises an opening, and a buckle means adjacent to the opening. The side cover comprises a positioning means and a pivot means. The pivot means is movably pivoted to the peripheral wall corresponding to the position of the opening, so that the side cover can be deflected relative to the peripheral wall to close or open the opening. The positioning means is detachably installed on the buckle means to position the side cover on the peripheral wall. With the above technical features, it achieves the purpose of simple use and being convenient for users to access storage items, and the purpose of improving the practicality of the storage box.

Preferably, the positioning means comprises a hook. The hook comprises a beveled edge. The beveled edge faces the position corresponding to the buckle means.

Preferably, the peripheral wall of the body comprises an elongated guide groove; the pivot means is located in the elongated guide groove and movable along the elongated guide groove relative to the opening of the body.

Preferably, the side cover is detachably installed on the peripheral wall of the body.

Preferably, the peripheral wall is provided with a metal reinforcement corresponding to the position of the side cover.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The technical contents and features of the present invention will now be described hereinafter with reference to the accompanying drawings. The present invention can be widely used in various forms of storage boxes. Those skilled in the art can understand that the explanatory terms of this embodiment belong to a higher-level description that does not limit the application field. For example, the term material or shape includes but is not limited to the material or shape specified in the description, the term location includes but is not limited to setting, approaching, connecting, or adjoining, and the number “a” of each component includes one and more than one component number. The directional adjectives such as “up”, “down”, “inside”, “outside”, “top”, and “bottom” mentioned in the contents of this specification are merely illustrative description terms based on the normal use direction, not as the purpose of limiting the scope of the claims.

Referring to FIGS. 1-7, a side opening storage box provided by the present invention comprises a body 10 and a side cover 20. The body 10 has a top 12, a bottom 14 and a peripheral wall 16 ringed between the top 12 and the bottom 14. The peripheral wall 16 has an opening 18, and a buckle means 13 adjacent to the opening 18. In the present preferred embodiment, the buckle means 13 comprises two convex portions 15 respectively located at the top positions on both sides of the opening 18. The body 10 in the preferred embodiment is generally in the form of a container as an example.

In the present preferred embodiment, the side cover 20 is generally a plate as an example. The side cover 20 has a notch 22 located at a top end of each of two opposite lateral sides thereof. The side cover 20 further comprises positioning means 24 and pivot means 26. In the present preferred embodiment, the positioning means 24 comprises two hooks 25 symmetrically located in the notches 22. Each hook 25 has a beveled edge 27. In the present preferred embodiment, the pivot means 26 comprises a pivot 28 located at an opposing bottom end of each of the two opposite lateral sides of the side cover 20. The side cover 20 is located at the opening 18 of the peripheral wall 16. With the pivots 28 respectively coupled to respective elongated guide grooves 19 at two corresponding positions of the peripheral wall 16, the side cover 20 is movably pivoted at the position of the peripheral wall 16 corresponding to the opening 18. In addition to being able to deflection relative to the peripheral wall 16 to close or open the opening 18, the side cover 20 can also be displaced between a first position and a second position.

As shown in FIGS. 9 and 10, when the side cover 20 is to be closed at the opening 18, the side cover 20 can be directly driven by the user to deflect in the direction of the peripheral wall 16 until the side cover 20 is close to the opening 18. Since the beveled edge 27 faces the position corresponding to the buckle means 13, the side cover 20 uses the beveled edge 27 of each hook 25 to abut the buckle means 13 and move to the first position. The positioning means 24 is offset to the buckle means 13, the side cover 20 is then deflected to close the opening 18. The side cover 20 can move downward naturally by gravity so that the positioning means 24 is embedded in the buckle means 13, and the side cover 20 is then positioned on the peripheral wall 16.

As shown in FIG. 8, the top of the side cover 20 is provided with a joint 29. When the side cover 20 is closed on the peripheral wall 16, the joint 29 can be locked with fitting means 11 at the corresponding position of the peripheral wall 16, further strengthening the fixing strength of the side cover 20. Moreover, a metal reinforcement 30 can be added to the peripheral wall 16 corresponding to the top edge of the side cover 20 to improve the strength of the overall structure.

With the above technical features, because the side cover 20 uses the structure of the beveled edges 27 of the positioning means 24 and the buckle means 13, the side cover 20 can be easily buckled and fixed to the peripheral wall 16 during the deflection closing process. The side cover 20 can be opened and closed on the body 10. It is also convenient for users to access and store items, achieving the purpose of improving practicality.

Claims

1. A side opening storage box, comprising:

a body comprising a top, a bottom and a peripheral wall ringed between said top and said bottom, said peripheral wall comprising an opening and a buckle means adjacent to said opening; and

a side cover comprising a positioning means and a pivot means, said pivot means being movably pivoted to the position of said peripheral wall corresponding to said opening so that said side cover is deflectable relative to said peripheral wall to close or open on said opening, said positioning means being detachably connected to said buckle means, said positioning means comprising a hook, said hook comprising a beveled edge, said beveled edge facing the position corresponding to said buckle means.

The side opening storage box as claimed in claim 1, wherein said side cover is movable between a first position and a second position; when said side cover is to be deflected and closed at said opening, said side cover is first moved to said first position, so that said positioning means is offset to said buckle means, until the side cover is completely closed to said opening, said side cover is then moved to said second position, and said positioning means is then embedded in said buckle means to lock said side cover to said peripheral wall.

3. The side opening storage box as claimed in claim 1, wherein said peripheral wall of said body comprises an elongated guide groove; said pivot means is located in said elongated guide groove and movable along said elongated guide groove relative to said opening of said body.

4. The side opening storage box as claimed in claim 1, wherein said side cover is detachably installed on said peripheral wall of said body.

5. The side opening storage box as claimed in claim 1, wherein said peripheral wall is provided with a metal reinforcement corresponding to the position of said side cover.
