An adjustable towel tree includes a post having a plurality of pins; a base configured for attachment of the post; a plurality of rods; a plurality of apertures formed on the post, each of the plurality of apertures being sized and configured for passage therethrough of a corresponding one of the plurality of rods, and wherein each of the rods is on a different axis relative to the other rods of the plurality of rods; each of the plurality of rods having a plurality of openings formed along its length; and wherein a user may selective adjust the placement of each of the plurality of rods along a corresponding axis by displacing the pin from the opening of a corresponding one of the plurality of rods, adjusting the position of the corresponding rod, and then inserting the pin into a selected one of the plurality of openings.

The present application claims the priority of U.S. Provisional Patent Application Ser. No. 62/986,924 filed Mar. 9, 2020, entitled “Adjustable Towel Tree” and is incorporated herein in its entirety.
FIELD OF THE INVENTIONThis invention relates to stands for supporting hanging towels and, more particularly, an adjustable towel tree.
DESCRIPTION OF THE BACKGROUNDMany attempts have been made to make freestanding towel stand inventions. Most common are the rack-style freestanding towel stands, which, when multiple towels are hanged upon, does not provide an adequate open-air environment for drying one or more wet towels.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONIn accordance with one form of the present invention, there is provided an adjustable towel tree including a post having a plurality of pins; a base configured for attachment of the post; a plurality of rods; a plurality of apertures formed on the post, each of the plurality of apertures being sized and configured for passage therethrough of a corresponding one of the plurality of rods, and wherein each of the rods is on a different axis relative to the other rods of the plurality of rods; each of the plurality of rods having a plurality of openings formed along its length; and wherein a user may selective adjust the placement of each of the plurality of rods along a corresponding axis by displacing the pin from the opening of a corresponding one of the plurality of rods, adjusting the position of the corresponding rod, and then inserting the pin into a selected one of the plurality of openings.

DETAILED DESCRIPTIONAn adjustable towel tree, such as for, but not limited to, one or more towels, is disclosed.
The post 14 preferably comprises two sections, 14A, 14B, which is beneficial primarily for packaging and shipping purposes. The top section 14A forms a plurality of apertures 18 passing through the width of the top section 14A. The bottom section 14B is securable to the top section 14A at a first end and the base 16 at the opposing end.
In one embodiment, the rods 12 are each 25 inches in length and the combined height of the post 14 and base 16 is 65 inches. In other embodiments, the rods 12 may be of dissimilar lengths. For example, the rods 12 on the lower portion of the towel tree 10 may be longer than one or more rods 12 near the top of the towel tree 10.

Claims
1. An adjustable towel tree comprising:
- a post having a plurality of pins; a base configured for attachment of the post;
- a plurality of rods;
- a plurality of apertures formed on the post, each of the plurality of apertures being sized and configured for passage therethrough of a corresponding one of the plurality of rods, and wherein each of the rods is on a different axis relative to the other rods of the plurality of rods;
- each of the plurality of rods having a plurality of openings formed along its length; and
- wherein a user may selective adjust the placement of each of the plurality of rods along a corresponding axis by displacing the pin from the opening of a corresponding one of the plurality of rods, adjusting the position of the corresponding rod, and then inserting the pin into a selected one of the plurality of openings.
2. The adjustable towel tree as recited in claim 1 wherein the post comprises a top section and a bottom section.
3. The adjustable towel tree as recited in claim 1 wherein the base surrounds an interior chamber for filling with a liquid to weigh down the base during use.
4. The adjustable towel tree as recited in claim 1 wherein each of the plurality of rods is each 25 inches in length.
5. The adjustable towel tree as recited in claim 1 wherein at least one of the plurality of rods is of dissimilar length to the remaining ones of the plurality of rods.
6. The adjustable towel tree as recited in claim 1 wherein the combined height of the post and base is 65 inches.
