Abstract

A headgear tray assembly for facilitating a work surface for rolling a cigarette includes an article of headgear that is wearable on a user. The article of headwear has a brim and a lip is coupled to the brim. The lip surrounds the brim such that the lip defines a border around the brim. The border inhibits the smoking material from falling off of the brim while rolling the cigarette.

(g) BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

(1) Field of the Invention

The disclosure relates to tray devices and more particularly pertains to a new tray device for facilitating a work surface for rolling a cigarette. The device includes an article of headgear which has a brim. A lip extends downwardly from the brim and the lip extends around a full perimeter of the brim. The article of headgear is positioned in an upside down orientation such that the lip defines a border around the brim to facilitate smoking material to be place on the brim without spilling the smoking material off of the brim.

The prior art relates to tray devices including a brim attachment device that attached to an outer edge of brim of a hat for protecting the brim. The prior art discloses a hat which has a brim and a roughened striking surface on the brim for striking a match. The prior art discloses a cap brim which has a pair of slidable extension panels that can be extended away from either side of a brim of a cap.

(h) BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising an article of headgear that is wearable on a user. The article of headwear has a brim and a lip is coupled to the brim. The lip surrounds the brim such that the lip defines a border around the brim. The border inhibits the smoking material from falling off of the brim while rolling the cigarette.

There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.

The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.

(j) DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to FIGS. 1 through 6 thereof, a new tray device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by the reference numeral 10 will be described.

As best illustrated in FIGS. 1 through 6, the headgear tray assembly 10 generally comprises an article of headgear 12 that has a brim 14. The article of headgear 12 can be worn on a user's head. The article of headgear 12 may comprise a baseball cap, a military cap, a trucker cap or any other type of cap that has a brim 14. The brim 14 has a lower surface 16 and a perimeter edge 18, and the lower surface 16 is comprised of a friction inhibiting material. In this way smoking material 20 can be positioned on the lower surface 16 for rolling a cigarette such that the smoking material 20 does not stick to the lower surface 16. The smoking material 20 may be shredded tobacco or other type of organic material that can be smoked in a cigarette.

A lip 22 is provided and the lip 22 is coupled to the brim 14. The lip 22 surrounds the brim 14 such that the lip 22 defines a border 24 around the brim 14. In this way the border 24 inhibits the smoking material 20 from falling off of the brim 14 while rolling the cigarette. The lip 22 extends downwardly from the bottom surface and the lip 22 is aligned with the perimeter edge 18. Furthermore, the lip 22 is coextensive with the perimeter edge 18 such that the lip 22 is continuous. The lip 22 may have a height and a thickness of approximately 0.25 inches.

In use, the article of headgear 12 is worn in the traditional convention of headgear 12. The article of headgear 12 removed from the user and the article of headgear 12 is positioned in an upside down orientation when the user wishes to roll a cigarette. In this way the lower surface 16 of the brim 14 defines a work surface 26 upon which the smoking material 20 can be distributed for rolling the cigarette. The smoking material 20 is poured onto the lower surface 16 of the brim 14 and the cigarette is rolled over the brim 14. The lip 22 inhibits the smoking material 20 from falling off of the brim 14 while the cigarette is being rolled. In this way the cigarette can be rolled in any location with a minimal amount of waste.

With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.

Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.

Claims

1. A headgear tray assembly for facilitating a user to roll a cigarette without spillage, said assembly comprising:

an article of headgear having a brim wherein said article of headgear is configured to be worn on a user;

a lip being coupled to said brim, said lip surrounding said brim such that said lip defines a border around said brim Wherein said border is configured to inhibit a smoking material from falling off of said brim while rolling the cigarette; and

wherein said brim has a lower surface, said lower surface being smooth withing said border and comprised of a friction inhibiting material wherein said lower surface is configured to have the smoking material positioned on said lower surface for rolling a cigarette such that the smoking material does not stick to said lower surface.

3. The assembly according to claim 1, wherein

said lip extends downwardly from said bottom surface, said lip being aligned with a perimeter edge of said brim, said lip being coextensive with said perimeter edge.

4. A headgear tray assembly for facilitating a user to roll a cigarette without spillage, said assembly comprising:

an article of headgear having a brim Wherein said article of headgear is configured to be worn on a user, said brim having a lower surface and a perimeter edge, said lower surface being comprised of a friction inhibiting material wherein said lower surface is configured to have a smoking material positioned on said lower surface for rolling a cigarette such that the smoking material does not stick to said lower surface;

a lip being coupled to said brim, said lip surrounding said brim such that said lip defines a border around said brim wherein said border is configured to inhibit the smoking material from falling off of said brim while rolling the cigarette, said lip extending downwardly from said bottom surface, said lip being aligned with said perimeter edge, said lip being coextensive with said perimeter edge; and

said lower surface of said brim being smooth within said border.
