Above Ground Solid Pool Cover
The above ground solid pool cover is the only product of its kind that is exceptionally crafted with mechanisms that support pool cover removal and placement all while guaranteeing that little to no debris comes into contact with the pool water. This unprecedented product is uniquely designed with a lighter and more resistant material than any other average pool cover to ensure users are able to easily maneuver, store, and clean the cover for efficient maintenance.
Pool covers are essential in keeping an above ground pool clean and protected from debris, falling leaves, rain water, and other exterior concerns. Current pool covers, however, are ineffective in many cases and are prone to transfer the accumulated water and/or dirt in the pool as a person is attempting to remove the cover, which defeats the purpose of the accessory. There have been no products available as original equipment or as an aftermarket to address this problem.
An apparatus pool covers the pool to protect against incoming debris, yet doesn't transfer said accumulated debris and water into the pool when attempting to remove the cover, is not being met by any known device or system at present. There have been no products available as original equipment or as an aftermarket to address this problem either.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONThe main purpose of the above ground solid pool cover is to provide users with a protective collapsible pool shield that thwart collected debris from actually entering the pool upon its removal.
A device for a swimming pool, the device including an umbrella comprising radiating ribs having a radius equal to a radius of the swimming pool. A telescoping pole configured central to the swimming pool and central to the umbrella is disposed at a top end thereof. A wheel configured to move a bottom end of the telescoping pole central to the swimming pool and in a vertical relation to water in the pool is also included. A rope and pulley are configured to perform an opening and a closing action on the umbrella via the radiating ribs.
Throughout the description, similar reference numbers may be used to identify similar elements depicted in multiple embodiments. Although specific embodiments of the invention have been described and illustrated, the invention is not to be limited to the specific forms or arrangements of parts so described and illustrated. The scope of the invention is to be defined by the claims appended hereto and their equivalents.
DETAILED DESCRIPTIONReference will now be made to exemplary embodiments illustrated in the drawings and specific language will be used herein to describe the same. It will nevertheless be understood that no limitation of the scope of the disclosure is thereby intended. Alterations and further modifications of the inventive features illustrated herein and additional applications of the principles of the inventions as illustrated herein, which would occur to one skilled in the relevant art and having possession of this disclosure, are to be considered within the scope of the invention.
The present disclosed above ground solid pool cover is uniquely designed to offer a modern fabric shield that solves all problems that other covers currently present by not only ensuring a pool is adequately safeguarded against any elements that would otherwise contaminate the swimming area, but also guarantees individuals are able to easily apply and remove the pool cover in both a time and energy efficient manner. The above ground solid pool cover introduces a novel weatherproof, collapsible pool cover in the shape of an umbrella. Through the unprecedented pulling rope mechanism, individuals will be able to easily open, close and store the cover based on necessity of its utilization. To further enhance functionality, when removing the unit off of the pool, the above ground solid pool cover is strategically designed with a center pole and a small wheel that allows it to maintain an upright position and slides smoothly until an individual can reach the center with their hands to remove it; thus, the debris materials collected on the cover move to the center as well and does not, by consequence, fall into the pool are during this process. The above ground solid pol cover ensures a fully operational above ground pool cover that is not only easier to remove but also turns an otherwise two person operation into a quick and independent task.
Although the operations of the method(s) herein are shown and described in a particular order, the order of the operations of each method may be altered so that certain operations may be performed in an inverse order or so that certain operations may be performed, at least in part, concurrently with other operations. In another embodiment, instructions or sub-operations of distinct operations may be implemented in an intermittent and/or alternating manner.
Claims
1. A device for a swimming pool, the device comprising:
- an umbrella comprising radiating ribs having a radius equal to a radius of the swimming pool;
- a telescoping pole configured central to the swimming pool and central to the umbrella disposed at a top end thereof;
- a wheel configured to move a bottom end of the telescoping pole central to the swimming pool and in a vertical relation to water in the pool; and
- a rope and pulley configured to perform an opening and a closing action on the umbrella via the radiating ribs.
2. The device of claim 1, wherein the umbrella comprises a fabric designed to filter a debris in water in the pool via the opening action of the umbrella radiating ribs from a central closed position.
3. The device of claim 1, wherein the umbrella in an open position and the telescoping pole in an erected position are configured to shade and to shield the swimming pool from debris and from direct sunlight.
4. The device of claim 1, wherein the umbrella in an open position and the telescoping pole in a retracted position are configured to filter water in the pool
4. The device of claim 1, wherein the telescoping pole has a low position to dispose the radiating ribs in a closed position proximal a bottom of the pool and underwater.
5. The device of claim 1, wherein the telescoping pole has a middle position to dispose the radiating ribs in an open filter position proximal a top of the pool and out of the water.
6. The device of claim 1, wherein the telescoping pole has a top position to dispose the radiating ribs in an open shade and shield position distal a top of the pool and clear of the water enough for an ingress and egress of human beings.
7. The device of claim, wherein the open umbrella is configured to spin on the telescoping pole and to thereby provide a filter action of the water in the swimming pool.
8. The device of claim 1, wherein the umbrella comprises a fabric designed to filter a debris in water in the pool via the opening action of the umbrella and the telescoping pole in a retracted position.
9. The device of claim 1, further comprising the rope and pulley configured to operate the umbrella in rapid closing and opening actions to flick off debris filtered on a top thereof.
10. The device of claim 1, further comprising the rope and pulley configured to operate the telescoping pole in a rapid erection and retraction to flick off debris filtered on a top of the umbrella.
11. The device of claim 1, wherein a travel of the wheel opens up a crescent shaped space between a circular pool and the umbrella relative to a top of the circular pool and a top of the umbrella.
