CROSS REFERENCE OF RELATED APPLICATION

This application is a Continuation application that claims the benefit of priority under 35 U.S.C. § 120 to a non-provisional application, application Ser. No. 16/741,721, filed Jan. 13, 2020, which is incorporated herewith by reference in its entirety.

BACKGROUND OF THE PRESENT INVENTION Field of Invention

The present invention relates to makeup applicator, and more particularly to makeup applicator head and application thereof.

Description of Related Arts

Makeup is the act of applying cosmetics, such as eye shadow, blush, liquid foundation, lipstick, lip gloss, and etc., to a corresponding part of the user's body. Makeup can change the exterior appearance of a user, which makes the user look better. Thus, makeup is widely used in daily life.

Makeup brush is a frequently used makeup tool. Cosmetic can be applied to a user's skin surface with a makeup brush comprising a plurality of soft bristles or a circular or elliptical brush head made of foam or sponge. For example, a brush is usually needed to apply cosmetics, such as mascara, eye shadow, lipstick, and lip gloss, having high viscosity on a user. To those cosmetic such as eye shadow, lipstick and lip gloss with high viscosity like the oil paints, a soft brush head is generally used for makeup, or alternatively a makeup brush with bristles may also be used. However, such brush heads and makeup brushes require the user to have higher operation technique in application. A makeup brush is taken as an example for explanation.

When the makeup brush is pressed on the skin surface of a user, since the bristles are soft, the portion of the makeup brush that contacts the skin surface is susceptive to deformation. In addition, the distance between the point of force application of the user and the area that the bristles in contact with skin surface is very easy to change as the bristles bend. As the makeup brush moves on the undulating skin surface of user, the degree of deformation of the makeup brush changes accordingly, so that the user needs to make a lot of effort to control the amount and the angle of the exert force applied to the makeup brush in order to get the right size of the contacting area of the makeup brush and the skin surface.

The bristles with different cosmetic materials attached thereon have different operational requirements. When applying a light cosmetic material attached to the bristles, the cosmetic material may easily be spread out on the skin surface of the user. When applying heavy cosmetic material attached to the soft bristles, the cosmetic material is difficult to be spread out on the skin surface of the user.

Furthermore, there are gaps among the bristles of the makeup brushes and pores formed in the surface of the sponge brush. In other words, the surface of the makeup brush for applying cosmetics is a discontinuous surface that the cosmetic material may fill into such gaps and pores. With the accumulation of cosmetic material in the gaps of the makeup brush and the pores in the sponge brush head, besides it is very unsanitary, the bristles of the makeup brush or the sponge brush head will become hard that will adversely affect the deformation properties of the makeup brush or sponge brush head and the users need to adjust the makeup method according to the change of the properties of the makeup brush or sponge brush head.

Moreover, bacteria can easily breed in the gaps or pores, and the cosmetic material may become a nutrient for bacteria. However, cleaning of the makeup brush or sponge brush head is not an easy task. For example, when the bristles of the makeup brush are relatively tightly distributed and the number of bristles is large, the power form cosmetic filled into the dense bristles will be so difficult to be separated from the roots of the dense bristles. It is even more difficult to completely clean the foam or sponge brush head. Even a professional cleaning detergent is used by the users, the service life span of the makeup brush or sponge brush head is inevitably affected because of the strong cleaning effect of such organic cleaning detergent, especially to those makeup brush made of natural animal hair. As the number of cleanings increases, the bristles of the makeup brush or sponge or foam of the brush head may not be as soft as the beginning that in turn causes the user to adjust his or her strength and manner of control in use.

On the other hand, modern cosmetic material is becoming more sophisticated. Users hope that the ingredients of cosmetic material will not contain chemical elements that are harmful to the skin and the human body, and they are willing to pay higher price for higher quality cosmetic products. However, traditional bristles or brush heads are mostly made by low-quality chemicals. As a result, traditional bristles or brush heads often contaminate clean and non-toxic cosmetic material, which is pity and unsanitary.

There are many problems associated with the conventional makeup tools in the market. Those makeup tools may bring potential health risks to the user, while at the same time being inconvenient for the user to control the operation of the tools.

In an alternative mode of the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the supporting member 10 of the makeup applicator 1 is integrally formed with the makeup applicator head 20. When a user needs to replace the makeup applicator head 20, he/she can simply use a new makeup applicator 1.

The makeup applicator set 1000 may further comprise a container lid 2 and a cosmetic container 3, wherein the cosmetic container 3 has a receiving cavity 30 therein and a container opening 300 communicatively connected to receiving cavity 30. The container lid 2 is detachably disposed at the container opening 300 of the cosmetic container 3. The container lid 2 is configured to mount and cover the container opening 300 of the cosmetic container 3.

Further, one end of the supporting member 10 of the makeup applicator 1 may be coupled to the makeup applicator head 20, while the other end of the supporting member 10 may be coupled to the container lid 2 as a handle. The connection member may be fixedly coupled to the container lid 2 or detachably coupled to the container lid 2.

The makeup applicator 1 of the makeup applicator set 1000 may be used independently for applying cosmetic material, or used together with the container lid 2. A user can hold the supporting member 10 of the makeup applicator 1 directly or hold the container lid 2 in order to operate and control the makeup applicator 1.

The supporting member 10 has a predetermined length which is designed according to the actual application requirements. The makeup applicator head 20 has at least one makeup surface 201 configured for applying cosmetic material to the skin surface of user.

It is worth mentioning that the makeup applicator head 20 can not only be used to apply cosmetic material on skin, but also be used to apply cosmetic on hairs, such as eyebrows or hairs at the hairline. The makeup applicator head 20 can not only be used not only to apply cosmetic on a human body, but also be used in other scenarios, such as applying cosmetic material on animals. In this embodiment, the makeup applicator head is illustrated for performing makeup on human skin surface of user as an example. Those skilled in the art should understand that this does not imply any limitation to the application of the makeup applicator head 20.

It is also worth mentioning that the makeup applicator head 20 or the makeup applicator 1 is not necessarily operated by a human user. For example, a robot arm can be used to hold the makeup applicator head 20 or makeup applicator 1 to apply makeup to a certain object. In the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the makeup applicator head 20 or the makeup applicator 1 is illustrated as operating by human user an example. Those skilled in the art should know that this does not imply any limitation to the application of the makeup applicator head 20.

The cosmetic material attached on the makeup surface 201 of the makeup applicator head 20 can contact the skin surface of user by means of the makeup surface 201. Further, the cosmetic material can be transferred to the skin surface of user as completely as possible to reduce residues on the makeup surface 201 of the makeup applicator head 20.

Furthermore, a distance between any two points of the makeup surface 201 of the makeup applicator head 20 is preferred to be constant. During a user applies a force to the makeup applicator head 20 so that the makeup applicator head 20 is pressed against the skin surface of user, the distance between any two points of the makeup surface 201 is configured as a constant distance.

According to the above preferred embodiment of the present invention, the applicator body, or alternatively at least is the makeup applicator head 20, is made of rigid material such as metal, ceramic and etc. The makeup applicator head 20 may be made of a rigid material such as metal and ceramic integrally, or may be made of other rigid material such as plastic and then electroplated or molded to be coated with the rigid material such as metal, ceramic and the like at an outer layer. Accordingly, the makeup surface 201 of the makeup applicator head 20 would not change with the magnitude of the force applied by the user. In other words, the makeup applicator head 20 provides the stationary makeup surface 201. When the user's applied greater force, the makeup applicator head 20 according to this embodiment will not deform in shape as the conventional makeup brush with foam or sponge brush heads does. Also, when the user's applied smaller force, the makeup applicator head 20 according to this embodiment will not deform like a conventional makeup brush with bristles or makeup brush with foam or sponge brush head. Since the makeup surface 201 will not change in shape or deform, the troublesome due to the difficulty for the user to control the applying force and the thickness of the makeup material is avoided accordingly.

Referring to FIGS. 1 to 4, according to the preferred embodiment of the present invention, a cross sectional shape of the makeup applicator head 20 is made to gradually enlarge from the connection end thereof and then gradually getting smaller towards the free end thereof. At least a portion of the side portion makeup surface 2012 is a curve surface adapted for fitting on the skin surface of the user. In addition, the end portion makeup surface 2011 may also a curve surface while the exterior surface at the free end of the makeup applicator head 20 is configured to protrude outwards.

Referring to FIGS. 5A to 6B, according to a first alternative mode of the above preferred embodiment of the present invention, the applicator body 21 of the makeup applicator head 20 has a predetermined number of makeup surfaces 201, including one end portion makeup surface 2011 and four side makeup surfaces 2012, wherein each of the side makeup surfaces 2012 extends outwardly from a perimeter of the end portion makeup surface 2011. According to the first alternative mode of the preferred embodiment, the four side portion makeup surfaces 2012 includes one convex side makeup surface 2012A, one concave side makeup surface 2012C, and two opposing edge makeup surfaces 2012B, 2012D, wherein the convex side makeup surface 2012A and the concave side makeup surface 2012C are opposingly formed on a front side and a rear side of the makeup applicator head 20 respectively, while the two opposing edge makeup surfaces 2012B, 2012D are opposingly formed on the left edge and the right edge of the makeup applicator head 20 respectively, wherein the convex side makeup surface 2012A and the concave side makeup surface 2012 are larger than the two edge makeup surfaces 2012B, 2012D which are respectively extending along the left and right edges of the makeup applicator head 20 in elongated narrow shape.

The makeup surface 201 is formed on the applicator body 21. In particular, at least a portion of an exterior surface 211 of the applicator body 21 forms the makeup surface 201. The applicator body 21 has a free end 212 and a connection end 213, wherein the connection end 213 of the applicator body 21 is coupled to the connection member 22, and at least a portion of the makeup surface 201 is extended to locate at the free end 212, and at least a portion of the makeup surface 201 is extended between the free end 212 and the connection end 213.

For the user, during the operation of the makeup applicator head 20 according to the preferred embodiment of the present invention, it is not necessary to consider the influence of the force applied on the makeup surface 201 as the contact area of the makeup applicator head 20 and the skin surface of user can be anticipated. That is, the makeup applicator head 20 according to the preferred embodiment reduces the requirement on users to control their applying force when doing makeup.

Specifically, the contact surface between the makeup applicator head 20 and the skin surface of user can change according to the amount of force the user exerts on the skin. When the user exerts a larger force, the makeup applicator head 20 presses and squeezes the skin surface of user that causes the skin deforming to enlarge the contact surface with the makeup applicator head 20. However, the makeup surface 201 of the makeup applicator head 20 is the same that the contact portion between the makeup surface 201 and the skin surface of user is the contact surface. During the makeup process, the user may select different area of the makeup applicator head 20 to contact with the skin surface, that is by changing the different portions of the makeup surface 201 to contact with the skin surface, so as to effectively achieve different makeup effects. The makeup surface 201 of the present invention is different from the conventional makeup brush with bristles or foam/sponge brush head that would deform its shape when the user exerts a larger force on the skin and thus only a portion of the exerting force is applied to the skin surface of user. According to the preferred embodiment of the present invention, since the skin surface of the user deforms corresponding to the amount of exerting force on the skin surface in contact with the makeup applicator head, so that the user can effectively and freely control the contact position of the makeup surface 20 with the ski surface based on the stationary rigid surface provided by the makeup surface 201 of the makeup applicator head 20, in order to accurately apply the cosmetic material at an expected position. In other words, the makeup applicator head 20 can give the user a stable expectation for the makeup surface 201, while the makeup surface 201 will not change in shape due to pressing and squeezing.

As mentioned above, the makeup surface 201 of the makeup applicator head 20 does not change with respect to different makeup materials attached thereon. Therefore, no matter a light makeup material or a heavy makeup material with a high viscosity is attached to the makeup surface 201 of the makeup applicator head 20, the stationary makeup surface 201 can be used to substantially spread out the makeup material on the skin surface. Also, since the cosmetic material itself will not cause any change to the makeup surface 201 while attaching thereon, the user can maintain the same operation angle of the makeup surface 201 of the makeup applicator head 20. Particularly, when the makeup material applied to the makeup surface 201 of the makeup applicator head 20 is in liquid form, the liquid form makeup material will not cause any change to the makeup surface 201. However, such liquid form makeup material generally causes the bristles and bristles to stick with each other that will change the applied area on the skin surface.

Further, the stationary rigid makeup surface 201 provides a variety of operation modes for the user, wherein some of such operation modes are difficult to be achieved by a conventional makeup bristle brush or foam/sponge brush head. For examples, the user can use the makeup applicator head 20 to pick up or apply the cosmetic material on the skin surface of user, and that the user can use the stationary rigid makeup surface 201 of the makeup applicator head 20 to achieve different makeup effects in applying cosmetic material with a certain thickness by various application methods, such as squeezing, pressing, sculpting, point pressing, side pressing, scraping, shoveling, repeated tapping, and etc.

Moreover, the makeup surface 201 of the makeup applicator head 20 may be a continuous surface, so that, unlike the discontinuous surface of the conventional makeup bristle brush or foam/sponge brush head that is full of gaps or pores, the makeup material is mainly attached on the exterior surface of the makeup applicator head 20 and will not enter the interior of the makeup applicator head 20. As a result, the user can easily clean the makeup applicator head 20 completely that it can be cleaned simply by wiping it with paper towel or wipes directly.

The makeup applicator head 20 has an exterior surface and at least a portion of the exterior surface forms the makeup surface 201. The makeup surface 201 may be a smooth surface or a rough surface. For example, the smooth exterior surface may form a plurality of slightly rough makeup surfaces 201. The makeup surfaces 201 with different friction coefficients are suitable for attaching cosmetic of different materials.

It is worth mentioning that the makeup applicator head 20 of the present invention is particularly suitable for cream-like or paste-like cosmetics such as mascara, eye shadow, lipstick, lip gloss, or the like which has a relatively high viscosity. It is apparent that it is fine to use bristle brush or foam/sponge brush head for painting paint on a wall surface but it is better to use a rigid shovel to apply cement on the wall surface in order to get a smooth wall surface.

Referring to FIGS. 1 to 4, according to the preferred embodiment, the makeup applicator head 20 comprises an applicator body 21 and a connection member 22. The applicator body 21 is used for applying cosmetic material and the connection member 22 is configured for connection, wherein the connection member 22 is provided on the applicator body 21 for connecting with the supporting member 10.

The makeup surface 201 is formed on the applicator body 21. At least a part of an exterior surface 211 of the applicator body 21 forms the makeup surface 201. The applicator body 21 has a free end 212 and a connection end 213, wherein the connection end 213 of the applicator body 21 is coupled to the connection member 22, and at least a portion of the makeup surface 201 is located at the free end 212 and at least a portion of the makeup surface 201 is extended between the free end 212 and the connection end 213.

Specifically, the makeup surface 201 comprises one end portion makeup surface 2011 and at least one side portion makeup surface 2012 extended from the end portion makeup surface 2011. A distance between any two points on the end portion makeup surface 2011 is a constant distance, and a distance between any two points on the side portion makeup surface 2012 is also a constant distance. Optionally, the distance between any point on the end portion makeup surface 2011 and any point on the side portion makeup surface 2012 is a constant distance.

The end portion makeup surface 2011 and the side portion makeup surface 2012 provide users with a variety of operation methods and angles. The user can use the end portion makeup surface 2011 to perform makeup actions, including tipping, tapping, swiping, sweeping, slapping, and etc., while the makeup applicator head 20 can stand on the skin surface of the user. The user can also use the side portion makeup surface 2012 to apply makeup actions, including tipping, tapping, drawing, scratching, sweeping, patting, smearing, wiping, rubbing, sticking, and etc., while the makeup applicator head 20 can be approximately lying on the skin surface of the user.

Referring to FIGS. 1 to 4, in one embodiment, the applicator body 21 of the makeup applicator head 20 is embodied as round shape, that is the end portion makeup surface 2011 of the makeup surface 201 is extended surroundingly to form a round head shape and the side portion makeup surface 2012 of the makeup surface 201 is extended at the edge position of the end portion makeup surface 2011, and that the side portion makeup surface 2012 is implemented as a curved surface protruding outwardly. The cross sectional area of the applicator body 21 is gradually enlarged from the connection end 213 and then gradually reduced towards the free end 212.

When the makeup applicator head 20 is inserted into the makeup material, the makeup material is capable of attaching to the makeup surface 201 of the makeup applicator head 20. The makeup applicator head 20 may provide different makeup areas at different positions with different sizes, so that the user is able to achieve the desired makeup effect by controlling the contacting position and area between the makeup surface 201 of the applicator body 21 of the makeup applicator head 20 the makeup applicator head 20 and the skin surface of user.

For example, a user may hold the round shaped makeup applicator head 20 according to this embodiment, so as to use the end portion makeup surface 2011 of the applicator body 21 of the makeup applicator head 20 to contact with the skin surface of user, and that since the end portion makeup surface 2011 is smaller in area than the side portion makeup surface 2012, each respective contact area with the skin surface of the user is relatively smaller, so that it is more suitable for applying cosmetic material in small areas. As shown in FIG. 3, when a user needs to apply an eye shadow to an eye area, the user can use the end portion makeup surface 2011 to tip the makeup material onto the end position of the eye and then use the side portion makeup surface 2012 to gently spread the makeup material from the end position of the eye to the corner of the eye.

The size of the area where the end portion makeup surface 2011 or the side portion makeup surface 2012 to be in contact with the skin can be flexibly controlled. The user can control the angle between the end portion makeup surface 2011 or the side portion makeup surface 2012 and the skin surface of the user to change the size of the contact area between the makeup applicator head 20 and the skin surface. As shown in FIG. 4, the user can use the end portion makeup surface 2011 to sweep the lip glaze to the surface of the lips. When makeup is required to be applied to the periphery of the lip, the user can change the contact angle between the makeup applicator head 20 and the lip, that not only prevents the makeup material from spilling out of the lip line, but also helps to outline the lip using a smaller area of the makeup surface 201.

By means of the makeup applicator head 20, a user can flexibly apply makeup materials to the skin surface of the user in a variety of different ways, such as the aforementioned tipping method or sweeping method. By using the makeup applicator head 20, the makeup material can also be spread out on the skin surface of the user, wherein the makeup applicator head 20 can be fitted on the skin surface of the user so the makeup material is able to be flattened during the back-and-forth movement of the makeup applicator head 20.

Since the makeup surface 201 of the makeup applicator head 20 does not change in shape and size with the magnitude of the force applied by the user, the user does not need to intentionally and precisely control the force applied on the makeup applicator head 20 while spreading out and flattening the makeup material. The stationary rigid makeup surface 201 can be used to spread out and fatten the makeup material. If there is unevenness of the cosmetic material in some areas, the process may be repeated couple times. Compared with the conventional makeup bristle brush, the makeup applicator head 20 according to the preferred embodiment of the present invention is convenient in use and simple to operate. To the users, it is user friendly, especially for novices.

Furthermore, when the user needs to apply cosmetic to a larger area of the skin surface, the end portion makeup surface 2012 of the applicator body 21 of the makeup applicator head 20 can be freely pressed against the skin surface of the user. At this time, the user does not need to deliberately control the force and the end portion makeup surface 2012 is completely in contact with the skin surface of the user to provide a large contact surface adapted for the makeup applicator head 20 moving back and forth. When the user needs to apply cosmetic on a smaller area of the skin surface of the user, the makeup applicator head 20 can be lifted upwards to reduce the contacting surface area between the makeup applicator head 20 and the skin surface. Similar operation applies when a user applies cosmetic with the side portion makeup surface 2012 of the makeup applicator head 20.

The user can alternately use the end portion makeup surface 2011 and the side portion makeup surface 2012 of makeup applicator head 20. For example, in the process of applying eye shadow, the side portion makeup surface 2012 can be used firstly on the skin area between the eyebrows and the eyes to put on the base makeup, and then the end portion makeup surface 2011 is used to focus on deepening the areas near the eyes to highlight the makeup effect.

Different cosmetic materials can be attached to the end portion makeup surface 2011 and the side portion makeup surface 2012 of the makeup applicator head 20. For example, the side portion makeup surface 2012 can be attached with a lighter color cosmetic material and a darker color cosmetic material may be attached to the end portion makeup surface 2011. It can be understood that the cosmetic material can be transferred to a corresponding area of the makeup applicator head 20 by using a small tool such as a cotton swab. When the user needs base makeup, a lighter color cosmetic material attached to the side portion makeup surface 2012 can be used. When the user needs to highlight the makeup effect, a darker color cosmetic material attached to the end portion makeup surface 2011 can be used.

Referring to FIG. 5A to FIG. 5C, a first alternative mode of the makeup applicator head 20 according to the above preferred embodiment of the present invention is illustrated.

The connection member 22 may be screwed to the supporting member 10, or may be snapped to the supporting member 10, and even the connection member 22 and the supporting member 10 may be firmly connected to each other by means of elastic deformation.

Referring to FIG. 10A to FIG. 10L-4, it is worth further mentioning that, like the first alternative mode of the present invention as illustrated in FIG. 5A to 6B, for the user, during the operation of the makeup applicator head 20 according to the preferred embodiment of the present invention, it is not necessary to consider the influence of the force applied on the first to fourth side portion makeup surfaces 2012A-2012D as the contact area of the makeup applicator head 20 and the skin surface of user can be anticipated. That is, the makeup applicator head 20 of the invention reduces the requirement on users to control their applying force when doing makeup. Specifically, the contact surface between the makeup applicator head 20 and the skin surface of user can change according to the amount of force the user exerts on the skin. When the user exerts a larger force, each of the end portion makeup surface 2011 and the first to fourth side portion makeup surfaces 2012A-2012D of the makeup applicator head 20 can be pressed and squeezed against the skin surface of user that causes the skin deforming to enlarge the contact surface with the makeup applicator head 20. However, the end portion makeup surface 2011 and the first to fourth side portion makeup surfaces 201 of the makeup applicator head 20 are the same that the contact portion between the makeup surface 201 and the skin surface of user is the contact surface. During the makeup process, the user may select different area of the makeup applicator head 20 to contact with the skin surface, that is by changing the different portions of the end portion makeup surface 2011 and the first to fourth side portion makeup surfaces 2012A-2012D of the makeup surface 201 to contact with the skin surface, so as to effectively achieve different makeup effects. The makeup surface 201 of the present invention is different from the conventional makeup brush with bristles or foam/sponge brush head that would deform its shape when the user exerts a larger force on the skin and thus only a portion of the exerting force is applied to the skin surface of user. According to the preferred embodiment of the present invention, since the skin surface of the user deforms corresponding to the amount of exerting force on the skin surface in contact with the makeup applicator head, so that the user can effectively and freely control the contact position of the makeup surface 20 with the skin surface based on the stationary rigid surface provided by the end portion makeup surface 2011 and the first to fourth side portion makeup surfaces 2012A-2012D of the makeup surface 201 of the makeup applicator head 20, in order to accurately apply the cosmetic material at an expected position. In other words, the makeup applicator head 20 can give the user a stable expectation for the makeup surface 201, while the end portion makeup surface 2011 and the first to fourth side portion makeup surfaces 2012A-2012D of the makeup surface 201 will not change in shape due to pressing and squeezing.

As mentioned above, the end portion makeup surface 2011 and the first to fourth side portion makeup surfaces 2012A-2012D of the makeup surface 201 of the makeup applicator head 20 does not change with respect to different makeup materials attached thereon. Therefore, no matter a light makeup material or a heavy makeup material with a high viscosity is attached to each of the end portion makeup surface 2011 and the first to fourth side portion makeup surfaces 2012A-2012D of the makeup surface 201 of the makeup applicator head 20, the stationary makeup surface 201 can be used to substantially spread out the makeup material on the skin surface. Also, since the cosmetic material itself will not cause any change to the end portion makeup surface 2011 and the first to fourth side portion makeup surfaces 2012A-2012D of the makeup surface 201 while attaching thereon, the user can maintain the same operation angle of the end portion makeup surface 2011 or the first to fourth side portion makeup surfaces 2012A-2012D of the makeup surface 201 of the makeup applicator head 20. Particularly, when the makeup material applied to the end portion makeup surface 2011 and the first to fourth side portion makeup surfaces 2012A-2012D of the makeup surface 201 of the makeup applicator head 20 is in liquid form, the liquid form makeup material will not cause any change to the end portion makeup surface 2011 and the first to fourth side portion makeup surfaces 2012A-2012D of the makeup surface 201.

Each of the end portion makeup surface 2011 and the first to fourth side portion makeup surfaces 2012A-2012D of the makeup surface 201 may be a smooth surface or a rough surface. For example, the smooth exterior surface may form a plurality of slightly rough makeup surfaces 201. The makeup surface 201 with different friction coefficients are suitable for attaching cosmetic of different materials.

Referring to FIG. 11 and referencing to FIG. 1, an embodiment of the makeup applicator set 1000 according to the present invention is illustrated. In this example, the makeup applicator set 1000 is implemented as a lip gloss bottle kit. Those skilled in the art can understand that the makeup applicator set 1000 can be, but is not limited to, an eye shadow bottle kit, a foundation bottle kit, and the like.

The makeup applicator set 1000 includes the makeup stick 1, the container lid 2 and the cosmetic container 3, wherein the cosmetic container 3 forms a receiving cavity 30 therein and has a container opening 300 communicated with the receiving cavity 30. The container lid 2 is detachably provided at a position adapted to cover the container opening 300 of the cosmetic container 3. The cosmetic container cover 2 is arranged for closing the container opening 300 of the cosmetic container 3.

The makeup applicator 1 includes the supporting member 10 and the makeup applicator head (makeup applicator head) 20, wherein the makeup applicator head 20 is installed at one end of the supporting member 10 and the container lid 2 is mounted to another end of the supporting member 10.

The supporting member 10 may be integrally affixed to the cosmetic container cover 2 or may be detachably mounted to the container lid 2.

When the container lid 2 is mounted on the cosmetic container 3, at least a part of the supporting member 10 of the makeup applicator 1 and the makeup applicator head (makeup applicator head) 20 are inserted into the receiving cavity 30. When a cosmetic coating dye is stored in the receiving cavity 30, the cosmetic material may be attached to the supporting member 10 or the makeup applicator head (makeup applicator head) 20. When the makeup applicator head or makeup applicator head 20 is needed, a user may hold the container lid 2 and then pull out the makeup applicator 1 through the opening 300.

Further, the makeup applicator set 1000 includes an inner plugging member 4, wherein the inner plugging member 4 is arranged to be installed at the container opening 300 of the cosmetic container 3 and configured in such a manner that, when the makeup applicator 1 is withdrawn, the supporting member 10 and the makeup applicator head 20 are capable of passing through the inner plugging member 4.

The inner plugging member 4 has an inner surface peripherally defining a surrounding limiting passage 40, wherein the limiting passage 40 is in communication with the receiving cavity 30 and the container opening 300. The size of the limiting passage 40 is similar to the size of the supporting member 10, so that when the supporting member 10 passes through the limiting passage 40, the cosmetic material attached to the supporting member 10 can be scraped off from the supporting member 10. Accordingly, a shaft of the supporting member 10 can be kept clean once it is withdrawn from the cosmetic container 3. The inner plugging member 4 forms one or more cutoffs 400 provided radially around the limiting passage 40, i.e. extended radially from the limiting passage 40 outwardly. In particular, the inner plugging member 4 has an inner surface 401 surrounding the limiting passage 40 and each of the one or more cutoffs 400 is a cut formed and extended outwardly and radially from a predetermined position of the inner surface of the plugging member 4. In other words, the one or more cutoffs 400 are in communication with the limiting passage 40 and a portion of the inner plugging member 4 where the one or more cutoffs 400 are formed is preferred to be made of elastic material, such as rubber, sponge, or the like.

It is worth mentioning that the limiting passage 40 may be a natural limiting passage formed inherently in the inner plugging member 4 that the limiting passage 40 is a channel normally opened communicating the outside with the receiving cavity 30. Or, the limiting passage 40 can be formed under a squeezed state only that the limiting passage 40 is the common ends of the one or more cutoffs 400 that is normally in close condition but able to be stretched out to an open condition when an object passing through the limiting passage 40. For example, the inner plugging member 4 which forms the one or more cutoffs 400 can be partly stretched out to form the limiting passage 40. In this embodiment, the limiting passage is embodied as a natural limiting passage 40.

The one or more cutoffs 400 are provided and configured for that when the connection member 10 passes through the one or more cutoffs 400, the cosmetic material attached to the makeup applicator head 20 which is slightly larger than the supporting member 10 can be retained. For example, referring to the makeup head 20 as shown in FIG. 2, the side portion makeup surface 2012 of the makeup head 20 is a curved surface and the cross-sectional size of the entire makeup head 20 is gradually enlarged from the connection end and then gradually reduced to the free end. The cross sectional area of at least a portion of the makeup applicator head 20 located adjacent to the free end 212 of the makeup applicator head 20 may be smaller than the cross sectional area of the makeup applicator head 20 located adjacent to the connection end 213 in order to retain some cosmetic material.

During the process of the makeup applicator head 20 passing through the inner plugging member 4, the one or more cutoffs 400 of the inner plugging member 4 are stretched and a portion of cosmetic material attached to the makeup surface 201 adjacent to the connection end 213 will be scraped off, but a portion of cosmetic material attached to the makeup surface 201 adjacent to the free end 212 will be retained. After the makeup applicator head 20 is completely pulled out from the inner plugging member 4, the one or more cutoffs 400 will automatically return to their original position and close up the limiting passage 40 again to reduce the possibility of dust entering into the receiving cavity 30.

It would be understood that the cross sectional area of the makeup applicator head 20 at any position may be smaller than the cross sectional area of the limiting passage 40 so that the cosmetic material attached to the makeup applicator head 20 will not be scratched off easily. The makeup applicator head 20 may also merely have at least one position having a cross sectional area smaller than the cross sectional size of the limiting passage 40 so that only the cosmetic material at this position will not be easily scraped off. In fact, if the pulling out speed of the makeup applicator head 20 is fast enough, before the one or more cutoffs 400 are not completely closed up again, even if the makeup applicator head 20 is slightly larger than the limit passage 40, the makeup material attached onto the makeup head 20 may not be scraped off.

Due to the existence of the one or more cutoffs 400, the user will not encounter a large resistance during the pulling out of the makeup stick 1, and at the same time, it can remove at least portion of the makeup material which is very convenient for overall use.

Optionally, the limit passage 40 is formed at a central position of the inner plugging member 4, and the one or more cutouts 400 are evenly and integrally formed around the limit passage 40 radially.

The inner portion of the inner plugging member 4 for forming the one or more cutoffs 400 may be made of elastic material, such as rubber or sponge. Optionally, it can be a material inert to a cosmetic material. The outer portion of the inner plugging member 4 closing the cosmetic container 3 may be made of a hard material to facilitate the connection with the cosmetic container 3.

According to another aspect of the present invention, the present invention provides an assembling method of the makeup applicator set 1000, wherein the assembling method includes the steps of:

    • forming the makeup applicator 1 with the rigid makeup applicator head 20; and
    • coupling the makeup stick 1 to the container lid 2.

According to one embodiment of the present invention, in the above method, the makeup applicator head 20 and the supporting member 10 are made integrally.

According to one embodiment of the present invention, in the above method, the makeup applicator head 20 is mounted on the supporting member 10.

According to one embodiment of the present invention, the method further includes the following steps:

Install the makeup receiving cap with the makeup applicator 1 at the container opening 300 position of the cosmetic container 3, wherein the cosmetic container 3 comprises the inner plugging member 4 and the inner plugging member 4 has the inner surface 401 surrounding and defining the limiting passage 40, and that a predetermined position of the inner surface 401 is extended outwardly and radially to form at least one cutoff 400. When the supporting member 10 passes through the limiting passage 40, at least a portion of the cosmetic material attached to the supporting member 10 is scraped off by the inner plugging member 4. When the makeup applicator head 20 passes through the limiting passage 40, the at least one cutoff 400 is stretched out by the makeup applicator head 20. Therefore, the cosmetic material attached to the makeup applicator head 20 is retained. A portion of the inner plugging member 4 is made of elastic material, so that the at least one cutoff 400 and the limiting passage 40 will automatically restored their original condition after the makeup applicator head 20 withdraws and leaves the inner plugging member 4.

According to another aspect of the present invention, the present invention provides a makeup method for cosmetic material, wherein the makeup method includes the following steps:

    • (i) Attach the cosmetic material to the makeup surface 201 of the makeup applicator head 20, wherein the makeup surface has a constant distance between any two points thereof.
    • (ii) Move the makeup solid brush 20 with respect to the skin surface of the user, while the makeup surface 201 with the makeup material attached thereto is placed and fitted on the skin surface of user, and apply the makeup material to the respective skin surface of user.

According to one embodiment of the present invention, the makeup method further includes the following step:

While the makeup surface 201 is placed and fitted to the skin surface of the user, absorb the cosmetic material to the skin surface of the user from the storage channel 200 through with the opening 2010 of the makeup surface 201.

According to one embodiment of the present invention, the makeup method further includes the following step:

When the makeup applicator 1 is withdrawn through the limit passage 40 of the inner plugging member 4 at the position of the container opening 300 of the cosmetic container 3, at least a portion of cosmetic material attached to the supporting member 10 is scraped off and a portion of the cosmetic makeup material attached to the makeup applicator head 20 is retained.

Those skilled in the art should understand that the embodiments of the present invention shown in the above description and the accompanying drawings are merely examples and do not limit the present invention. The object of the invention has been completely and effectively achieved. The function and structural principle of the present invention have been shown and explained in the embodiments, and the embodiments of the present invention may have any deformation or modification without departing from the principle.
