CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS

This application claims priority to Chinese Patent Application No. 202222495724.0, filed on Sep. 21, 2022, the entire contents of which are hereby incorporated by reference.

TECHNICAL FIELD

The present disclosure relates to the field of fitness equipment, and in particular, relates to a rowing machine.

BACKGROUND

A rowing machine is an indoors aerobic exercise machine for simulating rowing actions. In the rowing actions, 80% of the muscle groups of human bodies, including legs, arms, back, abdominal core muscles, and the like, are exercised. Rowing is a complete and efficient exercise. As compared with running and bicycle riding, rowing causes less damage to the joints, and rowing may be a lifelong exercise or even carried out for recovery after injuries or surgical operations. Therefore, rowing is suitable for people of all ages and both genders, and training using the rowing machine is gradually becoming a new exercise option.

In some practices, since the rowing machine occupies a large floor space, people usually have to carry out this exercise in gyms. However, going to gyms and doing exercises there take a lot of time and spend a large amount of money. In addition, the rowing machine available in the gyms typically have a huge size, and occupies a large space, and as a result, people have to do some arrangements and organization work upon completion of exercise, which is time and labor consuming.

SUMMARY

Various embodiments of the present disclosure provide a rowing machine to solve the problem that a conventional rowing machine occupies a large space and is hard to be received.

A rowing machine includes a rowing machine body, wherein the rowing machine further includes a fixing member, a deck fixedly connected to a lower portion of the rowing machine body, and a receiving chamber opened in the fixing member. One end of the deck is rotatably connected to a lower end of the receiving chamber, and a size of the deck is identical to a size of the receiving chamber.

According to the embodiments of the present disclosure, the rowing machine body is mounted on the deck, the deck, serving as a cabinet door, is rotatably connected to the lower end of the receiving chamber. For receiving of the rowing machine body, the deck is first raised up, the receiving chamber is closed, and the rowing machine body is received in the receiving chamber. For use of the rowing machine, the deck is opened and only needs to be placed on the ground. In this way, the receiving and use of the rowing machine body are convenient, and a small space is occupied.

In some embodiments, the rowing machine body includes a support fixedly mounted on the deck, a slide rail fixedly mounted on the support, a seat slidably connected to the slide rail, a power device fixedly mounted on the support, and a foot rest rotatably connected to the support. The foot rest and a tension elastic assembly are both arranged on a side close to the receiving chamber.

According to the embodiments of the present disclosure, during use of the rowing machine body, a user is seated on a bench, steps against foot rest with both feet, and pulls the tension elastic assembly to simulate rowing operations, thereby achieving an exercise effect. The operation is convenient.

In some embodiments, the power device includes a handle, a pull cable connected to one end of the handle, and a resistance assembly connected to the other end of the pull cable.

The handle facilitates gripping by the user, and the resistance assembly supplies a pull force. In addition, the resistance force of the resistance assembly may be adjusted to change a magnitude of the pull force.

In some embodiments, the rowing machine includes a display mounted on the fixing member, wherein the display is disposed above the receiving chamber. The display is configured to play exercise teachings, exercise time, rowing times count, and the like.

In some embodiments, the rowing machine further includes a counter and a timer arranged on the handle, wherein the counter and the timer are both communicably connected to the display. The counter records a times count of pulling the handle by the user, and the timer records the exercise time of the user. The times count and the exercise time are displayed on the display for acknowledge and observation by the user.

In some embodiments, a secure cable is fixedly mounted in the receiving chamber, wherein one end of the secure cable is detachably connected to the deck. The rowing machine body is mounted on the deck, and thus the deck is heavy. During receiving of the rowing machine body, the secure cable fixedly mounted in the receiving chamber is secured on the deck, such that the deck is prevented from abruptly falling over and hitting the user when being opened.

In some embodiments, a pull ring is arranged at an upper end of the deck, wherein the pull ring is disposed on a side, away from the receiving chamber, of the deck. The pull ring facilitates gripping by the user, and facilitates opening and closing of the deck.

In some embodiments, a clasp is arranged on the wall, wherein the clasp is configured to prevent the deck from falling over when being received in the receiving chamber. During closing the deck, the clasp is configured to limit the deck to prevent the deck from falling over.

In some embodiments, a depth of the receiving chamber is greater than a height of the rowing machine body. Further, a width of the rowing machine body is less than a width of the deck. In this way, the rowing machine body is capable of being successively received in the receiving chamber.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

For better and clearer understanding of the objects, features, and advantages of the present disclosure, the present disclosure is described in detail with reference to the attached drawings and specific embodiments. It should be noted that in cases of no conflict, the embodiments and features in the embodiments of the present disclosure may be combined together.

The description hereinafter illustrates more details for better understanding of the present disclosure. However, the present disclosure may also be implemented by various embodiments different from those described herein. Therefore, the protection scope of the present disclosure is not limited by exemplary embodiments described hereinafter.

In an exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure, a rowing machine is provided. As illustrated in FIG. 1, the rowing machine includes a rowing machine body, wherein the rowing machine further includes a fixing member 1, a deck 2 fixedly connected to a lower portion of the rowing machine body, and a receiving chamber 3 opened in the fixing member 1. One end of the deck 2 is rotatably connected to a lower end of the receiving chamber 3, and a size of the deck 2 is identical to a size of the receiving chamber 3.

The fixing member 1 may be a wall, a large-sized cabinet, or the like facility that is capable of providing the receiving chamber 3. In some embodiments, the fixing member 1 is the wall due to low use cost. The rowing machine body and the deck 2 may be connected by welding or bolts. The receiving chamber 3 may be a cabinet embedded into the wall, or may be recess directly opened in the wall, which is not limited in this embodiment. One end of the deck 2 and the lower end of the receiving chamber 3 may be rotatably connected by a hinge or a pivot. In some embodiments, the rotation connection is achieved by the hinge due to low cost and simple structure. The deck 2 and the receiving chamber 3 have an equal size. That is, the deck 2 is capable of serving as a cover of the receiving chamber 3 to seal the opening of the receiving chamber 3.

In some embodiments, a depth of the receiving chamber 3 is greater than a height of the rowing machine body, and a width of the rowing machine body is less than a width of the deck 2.

The depth of the receiving chamber 3 is less than a thickness of the fixing member 1, such that the rowing machine body is received in the fixing member 1. In some embodiments, the depth of the receiving chamber 3 is less than a half of the thickness of the fixing member 1, such that the structure rigidity of the fixing member 1 is not greatly affected.

In another exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure, as illustrated in FIG. 1, the rowing machine body includes a support 4 fixedly mounted on the deck 2, a slide rail 5 fixedly mounted on the support 4, a seat 6 slidably connected to the slide rail 5, a tension elastic member fixedly mounted on the support 4, and a foot rest 7 rotatably connected to the support 4. The foot rest 7 and a tension elastic assembly are both arranged on a side close to the receiving chamber 3.

The structure and shape of the support 4 is determined according to the actual size of the rowing machine and the sizes of various parts of the rowing machine, which are not limited in this embodiment. The slide rail 5 is a rail provided with a slide channel, which matches with the seat 6. A slide block is arranged at a bottom of the seat 6, and the slide block is embedded into the slide channel and is slidable in the slide channel. In some embodiments, the seat 6 is further provided with a roller, which is in contact with an upper surface of the slide rail 5. The roller further reduces a friction between the seat 6 and the slide rail 5, such that the seat 6 is capable of sliding more smoothly. A pivot is arranged at a middle part of the foot rest 7, and the pivot is matched with a sleeve on the support 4, such that a user is capable of adjusting a tilt angle of the foot rest 7 according to his or her preferences when stepping against the foot rest 7.

In some embodiments, as illustrated in FIG. 1, the power device includes a handle 8, a pull cable 9 connected to one end of the handle 8, and a resistance assembly 15 connected to the other end of the pull cable 9.

The user is capable of adjusting a resistance force of the resistance assembly 15, such that different magnitudes of pull forces are supplied to the pull cable 9 for exercise by the rowing machine. In this way, the apparatus has a more extensive application.

In some embodiments, the rowing machine further includes a display 10 mounted on the fixing member 10. The display 10 is disposed above the receiving chamber 3.

The display 10 may be a touch display, and may be embedded in the fixing member 1, such that protrusions on a surface of the fixing member 1 are reduced. In addition, the display 10 may also be connected to other networks or television signals, such that the display 10 is also capable of serving as a home television or the like where the rowing machine is not used.

In some embodiments, the rowing machine further includes a counter and a timer arranged on the handle 8. The counter and the timer are both communicably connected to the display 10.

The counter and the timer are both communicably connected to a tension sensor, and are mounted at a connection point between the handle and the pull cable 9. With a time period during which a tension is detected as changing from increase to decrease as a counting and timing cycle, recorded data is uploaded to the display 10 for real-time observation by the user. In addition, the timer is also capable of recording complete exercise time of the user and uploading and displaying the exercise time.

In these embodiments, the tension sensor is mounted, connected, and controlled by virtue of conventional mounting, connection, and control fashions.

In another exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure, as illustrated in FIGS. 2 and 3, a secure cable 11 is fixedly mounted in the receiving chamber 3. One end of the secure cable 11 is detachably connected to the deck 2.

The secure cable 11 and the receiving chamber 3 are connected by a bolt, and the secure cable 11 may be a nylon cable or made from polyimide and the like materials. The thickness and material of the secure cable 11 are determined according to a total weight of the deck 2 and the rowing machine body, which are not limited in this embodiment. One end of the secure cable 11 is connected to the deck 2 in a detachment easing fashion, for example, connection by a hook and hang ring 14, as illustrated in FIGS. 1 and 3, or connection by a bolt. In some embodiments, the connection by the hook and hang ring 14 is employed due to secure connection and easy detachment.

In some embodiments, as illustrated in FIGS. 1 and 3, a pull ring 12 is arranged at an upper end of the deck 2. The pull ring 12 is disposed on a side, away from the receiving chamber 3, of the deck 2. The pull ring 12 has a height greater than a thickness of a palm of an adult, and a length greater than a width of the palm of the adult. For ease of gripping by the user, the specific height and length of the pull ring 12 are determined according to actual needs, which are not limited in this embodiment.

In some embodiments, as illustrated in FIGS. 2 and 3, a clasp 13 is arranged on the wall. The clasp 13 is configured to prevent the deck 2 from falling over when being received in the receiving chamber 3. In this embodiment, a rotary clasp is employed. In the case that the clasp 13 is rotated to a horizontal direction, the deck 2 is conveniently opened. In the case that the clasp 13 is rotated to a vertical direction, one end of the clasp 13 is stopped on the deck 2 to limit the deck 2, such that the object of closing the deck 2 is achieved. In this embodiment, the vertical direction is a direction from a mounting point of the clasp 13 to the deck 2, and the horizontal direction is perpendicular to the vertical direction.

In another exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure, the power device may be a device as illustrated in FIG. 4. In the power device, a first base 18 is mounted on the support 4, a mounting plate 16 is vertically mounted on the first base 18, arms 17 are horizontally mounted on the mounting plate 16 and are upwardly and downwardly slidable, a resistance assembly 15 is mounted in the first base 18, one end of each of pull cables 9 is connected to the resistance assembly 15, and the other end of each of the pull cables 9 runs through the arms 17 and are connected to the handle 8. A user may adjust a height of the arms 17 according to actual needs, such that the handle 8 is at a height suitable for gripping, and the resistance assembly 15 may be a hydraulic damper, a counterweight damper, or the like.

The power device may also be a device as illustrated in FIG. 5, a second base 19 is mounted on the support 4, the resistance assembly 15 is arranged inside the second base 19, shields 20 are arranged on two sides of the second base 19, vertical posts 21 are vertically mounted on the shields 20, pull cable clasps 22 are slidably connected to the vertical posts 21, one end of each of the pull cables 9 is connected to the resistance assembly 15, the other end of each of the pull cables 9 is led out from each of the shields 20 at a lower end of each of the vertical posts 21 and runs upwardly along the vertical post 21 through the pull cable clasp 22 and is connected to the handle 8. The user may adjust a height of the pull cable clasp 22 according to actual needs, such that the handle 8 is at a height suitable for gripping. In addition, the vertical posts 21 are detachably connected to the shields 20, such that the vertical posts 21 are removed when the power device is not used, and the shields 20 are folded and received, thereby facilitating receiving and storage. An upper end of the base 19 is a flat surface, and an extension bench 23 may be added. In this case, the user may lie on the extension bench 23 and do arm stretching exercise, such that exercise activities are diversified on the apparatus. The pull cables on the power device output power, and the user carries out rowing exercise using the rowing machine according to the present disclosure in combination with the pull cables.

Therefore, the technical solutions according to the embodiments of the present disclosure at least achieve the following technical effects or advantages:

According to the embodiments of the present disclosure, the rowing machine body is mounted on the deck, the deck serves as a cabinet door of the receiving chamber, and the rowing machine body is received in the receiving chamber. In this way, the rowing machine occupies a small space, and is convenient to be received.

The received deck and the receiving chamber are connected by the secure cable. In this way, the deck is prevented from falling over and hitting the user when being opened.

The data of rowing exercise on the rowing machine is recorded by the counter and the timer on the handle and is displayed by the display. In this way, the user easily acknowledges his or her exercise.

Although the exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure are described above, once knowing the basic creative concept, a person skilled in the art can make other modifications and variations to these embodiments. Therefore, the appended claims are intended to be construed as covering the exemplary embodiments and all the modifications and variations falling within the scope of the present disclosure.

Obviously, a person skilled in the art can make various modifications and variations to the present disclosure without departing from the spirit and scope of the present disclosure. If such modifications and variations fall within the scope defined by the claims of the present disclosure and equivalent technologies thereof, the present disclosure is intended to cover such modifications and variations.

Claims

1. A rowing machine, comprising: a rowing machine body, wherein the rowing machine further comprises a fixing member (1), a deck (2) fixedly connected to a lower portion of the rowing machine body, and a receiving chamber (3) opened in the fixing member (1), one end of the deck (2) being rotatably connected to a lower end of the receiving chamber (3), and a size of the deck (2) being identical to a size of the receiving chamber (3).

2. The rowing machine according to claim 1, wherein the rowing machine body comprises a support (4) fixedly mounted on the deck (2), a slide rail (5) fixedly mounted on the support (4), a seat (6) slidably connected to the slide rail (5), a power device fixedly mounted on the support (4), and a foot rest (7) rotatably connected to the support (4), the foot rest (7) and a tension elastic assembly being both arranged on a side close to the receiving chamber (3).

3. The rowing machine according to claim 2, wherein the power device comprises a handle (8), a pull cable (9) connected to one end of the handle (8), and a resistance assembly (15) connected to the other end of the pull cable (9).

4. The rowing machine according to claim 3, further comprising: a display (10) mounted on the fixing member (10), wherein the display (10) is disposed above the receiving chamber (3).

5. The rowing machine according to claim 4, further comprising: a counter and a timer arranged on the handle (8), wherein the counter and the timer are both communicably connected to the display (10).

6. The rowing machine according to claim 1, wherein a secure cable (11) is fixedly mounted in the receiving chamber (3), one end of the secure cable (11) being detachably connected to the deck (2).

7. The rowing machine according to claim 6, wherein a pull ring (12) is arranged at an upper end of the deck (2), the pull ring (12) being disposed on a side, away from the receiving chamber (3), of the deck (2).

8. The rowing machine according to claim 1, wherein a clasp (13) is arranged on the wall, the clasp (13) being configured to prevent the deck (2) from falling over when being received in the receiving chamber (3).

9. The rowing machine according to claim 1, wherein a depth of the receiving chamber (3) is greater than a height of the rowing machine body.

10. The rowing machine according to claim 1, wherein a width of the rowing machine body is less than a width of the deck (2).
