Description
TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to the field of storage cabinet manufacture, and more particularly to a foldable storage cabinet.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Currently, most foldable storage cabinets are plastic storage cabinets or non-woven storage cabinetes. Although both can be freely combined, there are some problems. Existing plastic storage cabinets have better load-bearing capacity than those of cloth materials, but have higher cost and heavier overall weight. In addition, the existing plastic storage cabinets can be stacked freely, but a plurality of plastic storage cabinets exist independently, so that the overall stability of the stacked plastic storage cabinets is poor. The plastic storage cabinets are easily toppled during use. Also, the plastic storage cabinets cannot exhibit the color of a cloth art pattern due to the characteristics thereof, and have great limitations. Furthermore, the existing storage cabinets require the cooperation of tools and fittings for the installation when stacked in combination, and cannot be folded integrally after stacking. However, although the existing non-woven storage cabinets can exhibit a pattern color, the load-bearing capacity is poor and the service life is short. The overall stability of the non-woven storage cabinets after stacking is also poor.

Therefore, there is an urgent need for a foldable storage cabinet to effectively solve the above problems.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

A foldable storage cabinet of the present invention will now be described in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which preferred embodiments of the invention are shown. It should be understood that one skilled in the art can modify the invention described herein while still achieving the advantageous effects of the invention. Accordingly, the following description should be construed as broadly as known to those skilled in the art, and not as a limitation on the present invention.

The invention is described in more detail in the following paragraphs by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawings. Advantages and features of the present invention will become apparent from the following description. It is noted that the drawings are in very simplified form and are not intended to be exhaustive or to limit the invention to the precise form disclosed. It should be noted that the drawings are in a very simplified form and use imprecise proportions only for the purpose to facilitate and clearly assist in stating the embodiments of the invention.

As shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, an embodiment of the present invention proposes a foldable storage cabinet including a storage unit 1. More specifically, the storage unit 1 includes a front frame 10, a rear frame 11, and a front door panel 100. Specifically, a cover plate 12 is connected at the top of the front frame 10 and the rear frame 11 together. A first connecting piece 13 is connected to both sides of the front frame 10 and the rear frame 11 together. A plurality of partition spaces are provided in the first connecting piece 13, and a side pad is provided in the partition space. A second connecting piece is connected to the bottom of the front frame 10 and the rear frame 11 together.

Herein, the front frame 10, the rear frame 11, two first connecting pieces 13 and the second connecting piece can form a storage space. In a specific example, the first connecting piece 13 and the second connecting piece are one large piece in the actual production process, and pressed/sewn up by ultrasound and sewing. The side pad is required to be sewn in the first connecting piece 13 beforehand.

In another specific example, in addition to pre-sewing the side pad into the first connecting piece 13, one end of the first connecting piece 13 close to the second connecting piece may be provided with an opening, so that when the storage unit 1 is in an unfolded state, the side pad may be inserted in from the opening of the first connecting piece 13 through the top of the storage unit 1.

In order to facilitate folding, in the present embodiment, the first connecting piece 13 and the second connecting piece are both made of cloth materials.

The first connecting piece 13 is provided with a partition line 130 located among a plurality of the partition spaces. The first connecting piece 13 is folded along the partition line 130. When folded, the cover plate 12 is removed, and the first connecting piece 13 is folded inwards along the partition lines 130 among the plurality of partition spaces, so that the plurality of side pads are overlapped together, thereby folding the whole storage unit 1.

In an embodiment, the number of blocking spaces is at least two, i.e., there is a blocking line 130 on the first connecting piece 13.

To ensure the stability of the device, in this embodiment, the side pad is a solid cardboard, a density board or a plastic board. The front frame 10 and the rear frame 11 are both made of plastic. In terms of achieving the function of folding the storage unit 1, the overall stability can also be ensured, which is beneficial to improving the competitiveness of the product.

By the combination of the cloth material and the plastic material, it is not only possible to print an aesthetically pleasing pattern on the first connecting piece 13 and the second connecting piece made of a cloth material, but also the overall weight thereof is smaller than that of the storage unit made of a plastic material as a whole. By the combination of the front frame 10 and the rear frame 11 made of plastic materials, the overall bearing capacity is improved. It is beneficial to ensure the overall service life.

In a specific example, the first connecting piece 13 and the second connecting piece may be formed by pressing a non-woven (also a plastic particle product) of a certain thickness with the front frame 10 and the rear frame 11 of the plastic (PP) by using an ultrasonic pressing process. It is also possible to achieve that the first connecting piece 13 and the second connecting piece of the non-woven material are firmly connected to the front frame 10 and the rear frame 11 of the plastic material, respectively, by a sewing process, i.e., improved sewing by a sewing machine.

A person skilled in the art would have been aware that under the same effect, the material of the cloth can also be cotton cloth, terylene cloth or even waterproof oil cloth, etc.

In this embodiment, a slot 101 is formed through the front frame 10. Specifically, the front door panel 100 is rotatably mounted in the slot 101. When the storage unit 1 is in the unfolded state, it is sufficient to open the front door panel 100 by rotating to insert the laundry or a small object into the storage space through the slot 101.

Further, holes are provided on opposite inner walls and close to the inner bottom of the slot 101. Specifically, two side walls of the front door panel 100 are provided with plug posts engaging with the two holes. The plug posts of the two side walls of the front door panel 100 are inserted into the holes, and the plug posts can rotate in the holes. Thus, the front door panel 100 can be rotated outwards in the slot 101 to ensure that the front door panel 100 is normally opened. Also, the structure is simple and the cost is low.

In order to further facilitate the opening of the front door panel 100, in the present embodiment, both the front door panel 100 and the rear frame 11 are provided with a handle groove 110. Two handle grooves 110 extend through the front door panel 100 and the rear frame 11, respectively. The provision of the handle grooves 110 not only facilitates the opening of the front door panel 100, but also facilitates the operation when the entire storage unit 1 needs to be moved. This further contributes to the competitiveness of the product.

Further, this embodiment includes a bottom pad. Specifically, the bottom pad is mounted on the second connecting piece. When the storage unit 1 is in the unfolded state, the bottom pad is mounted to the second connecting piece at the bottom of the storage unit 1, so that the overall stability can be ensured and the service life can be improved. For simplicity of illustration, the bottom pad and the second connecting piece are not shown in the figures.

In the present embodiment, the number of the storage units 1 is plural. Also, the plurality of the storage units 1 are connected to each other by nylon expansion rivets. The plurality of storage units 1 can be freely combined and stacked by the nylon expansion rivet. By connecting a plurality of independent storage units 1 with nylon expansion rivets, it is possible not only to prevent tipping, but also to ensure overall stability after stacking.

Further, in the present embodiment, the sidewalls of the front frame 10 and the rear frame 11 are each provided with a plurality of hole sites 15. Specifically, the plurality of nylon expansion rivets are respectively installed through the plurality of hole sites 15 on a plurality of the front frames 10 and a plurality of rear frames 11.

In a specific example, four side walls of the front frame 10 are all provided with at least two hole sites 15. A plurality of front frames 10 are installed by the nylon expansion rivets passing through the hole sites 15.

Preferably, the diameter of the hole site 15 may be dimensioned between 3 mm and 10 mm.

In another specific example, four side walls of the rear frame 11 are also provided with at least two hole sites 15. A plurality of rear frames 11 are installed by the nylon expansion rivets passing through the hole sites 15.

The tight connection can be achieved by the nylon expansion rivet, and a certain thickness of connection can also be achieved. A certain bearing and shear force can be endured, so as to achieve a combination in upper, lower, left and right directions freely.

Further, in this embodiment, a U-shaped frame is provided close to the top of the front frame 10 and the rear frame 11. Specifically, a cambered surface 14 is provided at the connection between the two U-shaped frames and the top of the front frame 10 and the rear frame 11 respectively. The provision of the cambered surface 14 facilitates that the cover plate 12 can smoothly clamp the front frame 10 and the rear frame 11 together.

Preferably, the two U-shaped frames are integrally formed with the front frame 10 and the rear frame 11, respectively. Also, a plurality of cambered surfaces 14 are respectively located at the corners of the top of the front frame 10 and the rear frame 11.

Further, the length dimension of the U-shaped frame is less than the length dimension of the front frame 10 and the rear frame 11. The length dimension of the cover plate 12 is greater than or equal to the length dimension of the front frame 10 and the rear frame 11. The length dimension of the U-shaped frame is less than the length dimension of the front frame 10 and the rear frame 11, so that when the cover plate 12 clamps the front frame 10 and the rear frame 11 at the same time, the periphery of the cover plate 12 is flush with the sides of the front frame 10 and the rear frame 11, so that the overall dimensions just match. A seamless connection between the plurality of storage units 1 is also facilitated.

Preferably, by the arrangement of the cover plate 12 and the front door panel 100, the double-door function of the storage unit 1 can be realized, thereby further improving product competitiveness and facilitating the placement of clothes or materials.

In another embodiment, the device can be used not only as a cabinet to hold clothes, materials, etc., but also sized for shoe boxes according to actual needs.

In this embodiment, as shown in conjunction with FIGS. 4 and 5, a convex plate 111 is provided on the side wall close to the top of the front door panel 100. Specifically, a baffle 1010 is provided at the inner top of the slot 101. When the front door panel 100 is closed, the convex plate 111 clamps the baffle 1010. The provision of the baffle 1010 and the convex plate 111 prevents the front door panel 100 from falling into the interior of the storage unit 1 and also prevents the front door panel 100 from falling outward. The stability of the device is ensured.

Further, the distance between an end of the baffle 1010 away from the slot 101 and the inner bottom of the slot 101 is less than the height dimension of the front door panel 100. It is ensured that the front door panel 100 is prevented from falling into the storage unit 1.

In addition, a person skilled in the art would know that the length, width and height dimensions of the front frame 10, the rear frame 11, the first connecting piece 13, the second connecting piece and the cover plate 12 can be set according to practical requirements.

In an embodiment, a plurality of storage units 1 can be stacked into a 3*3 combined box. A person skilled in the art would know that under the same effect, and since the storage units 1 can be stacked freely in combination, the box after the plurality of storage units 1 are stacked can also be any combination of embodiments other than the 3*3 box in the present embodiment.

In a specific example, the number of the storage units 1 is set to three, as shown in FIG. 6. When the three storage units 1 are stacked into a 1*3 combination, the nylon expansion rivets can be used through the hole sites 15 to connect the upper, lower, left, and right sides of the front frame 10 and the rear frame 11 between the three storage units 1. Then a bottom pad is mounted on the second connecting piece. A cover plate 12 is covered on the top of the uppermost storage unit 1 along the cambered surfaces 14 at the top corners of the plurality of front frames 10 and the plurality of rear frames 11 while clamping the front frames 10 and the rear frames 11. The front door panel 100 is rotatably mounted in the slot 101 of the front frame 10 by means of an insert post and a hole. Thus, the three storage units I can be stacked to form an integral storage cabinet. When it is required to fold up, it is only necessary to remove the first cover plate 12 and take out the bottom pads of all the storage units 1, so that the first connecting pieces on all the storage units 1 are folded inwards along the partition line 130, thereby enabling the integral folding as shown in FIG. 7. It not only has a simple structure, but also can be easily folded.

In another specific example, the number of the storage units 1 is set to nine, as shown in FIG. 8. When nine storage units 1 are stacked into a 3*3 combination, the nylon expansion rivets can be used through the hole sites 15 to connect the upper, lower, left, and right sides of the front frame 10 and the rear frame 11 between the nine storage units 1. Then the bottom pad is mounted on the second connecting piece. Three cover plates 12 are respectively covered on the top of the uppermost three storage units 1 along the cambered surfaces 14 at the top corners of the plurality of front frames 10 and the plurality of rear frames 11 while clamping the front frame 10 and the rear frame 11. The front door panel 100 is rotatably mounted in the slot 101 of the front frame 10 by means of an insert post and a hole. That is, the nine storage units 1 can be stacked to form an integral storage cabinet.

Where the storage cabinets formed by stacking have a plurality of rows or columns, only the uppermost storage unit 1 of each row may have a cover plate 12 to facilitate subsequent integral folding. The rest layers can support the clothes or material by the second connecting piece and the bottom pad.

When it is desired to fold up, it is only necessary to remove the first layer of cover plates 12 in each row and take out the bottom pads of all the storage units 1, so that the first connecting pieces on all the storage units 1 are folded inwards along the partition line 130, thereby enabling the integral folding as shown in FIG. 9. It not only has a simple structure, but also can be easily folded.

In the present embodiment, when it is necessary to use the storage unit 1, the handle grooves 110 on the front frame 10 and the rear frame 11 are grasped and unfolded (if the side pad is not sewn into the first connecting piece 13 in advance, the side pad may be inserted in from the opening through the top of the storage unit 1). Then, the bottom pad is mounted on the second connecting piece. A cover plate 12 is covered on the top of the storage unit 1 along the cambered surface 14 at the top corners of the front frame 10 and the rear frame 11 while clamping the front frame 10 and the rear frame 11. The front door panel 100 is rotatably mounted in the slot 101 of the front frame 10 by means of an insert post and a hole. Thus, the storage unit 1 can be unfolded and mounted.

When it is necessary to fold the storage unit 1, only the cover plate 12 is required to be removed, the bottom pad is taken out, and the first connecting piece 13 is folded inwards along the partition line 130 between the plurality of partition spaces, so that the plurality of side pads are overlapped together, thereby compressing the whole and folding the whole storage unit 1.

In view of the above, the present invention provides a foldable storage cabinet with the following advantages.

A front frame, a rear frame and a front door panel are provided; a cover plate is connected at the top of the front frame and the rear frame together; a first connecting piece is connected to both sides of the front frame and the rear frame together; a plurality of partition spaces are provided in the first connecting piece, and a side pad is provided in the partition space; a second connecting piece is connected at the bottom of the front frame and the rear frame together; a slot is formed through the front frame, and the front door panel is rotatably mounted in the slot; the front frame and the rear frame are both made of plastic; and the first connecting piece and the second connecting piece are both cloth materials. Not only the function of folding the storage unit can be achieved, but also the overall stability can be ensured, which is beneficial to enhance the competitiveness of the product. Also, it is not only possible to print an aesthetically pleasing pattern on the first connecting piece and the second connecting piece made of a cloth material, but also the overall weight thereof is smaller than that of the storage unit made of a plastic material as a whole. In addition, by the combination of the front frame and the rear frame made of plastic materials, the overall bearing capacity is improved. It is beneficial to ensure the overall service life. Moreover, when a plurality of the storage units are stacked in combination, it is also possible to fold the first connecting pieces of all the storage units inward along the partition line by removing only the cover plate of the uppermost layer and taking out all the bottom pads, thereby enabling the integral folding. It not only has a simple structure, but also can be easily folded.

In addition, by connecting a plurality of independent storage units with nylon expansion rivets, it is possible not only to prevent tipping, but also to ensure overall stability after stacking. Furthermore, the connection between the plurality of storage units can be achieved only by the nylon expansion rivet passing through the hole site without using an additional tool at the time of installation.

It will be apparent to those skilled in the art that various modifications and variations can be made in the present invention without departing from the spirit or scope of the inventions. Thus, it is intended that the present invention cover the modifications and variations of this invention provided they come within the scope of the appended claims and their equivalents.
