Latest TOTO LTD. Patents:
Aspects of the present invention relate to a flush toilet, and particularly to a flush toilet that discharges human waste by flushing with flush water.
BACKGROUNDIn a known flush toilet such as an example described in Patent Literature 1, one rim discharge port is located at the back left side of a bowl; and the rim discharge port discharges flush water frontward to wash a waste receiving surface with a swirling flow. Such a flush toilet is configured to use the water supply pressure of flush water from a service water pipe to discharge the flush water from the one rim discharge port. The flush water that is discharged from the rim discharge port swirls along an inner circumferential surface of the rim to reach the entire waste receiving surface.
Also, a known flush toilet such as an example described in Patent Literature 2 includes a variable flow rate device that varies the flow rate of the flush water discharged from the rim discharge port. In such a flush toilet, the variable flow rate device varies the flow rate of the flush water discharged from the rim discharge port to wash away human waste adhered to the waste receiving surface. As a result, the flush water evenly reaches the entire waste receiving surface to wash away the human waste adhered to the waste receiving surface.
PRIOR ART Patent Literature[Patent Literature 1] Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2009-052228
[Patent Literature 2] Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2013-79546
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONHowever, the flush toilet described in the aforementioned Patent Literature 1 has a problem in that if the water supply pressure of the flush water from the service water pipe changes, the flush water cannot evenly reach the entire waste receiving surface; and the human waste that is adhered to the waste receiving surface remains without being washed away. Specifically, if the water supply pressure drops, more flush water is discharged from the rim discharge port and flows downward into the front region of the bowl, and so the flush water no longer reaches the back region of the bowl. Therefore, the human waste that is adhered to the waste receiving surface in the back region of the bowl cannot be washed away sufficiently. On the other hand, if the water supply pressure becomes high, more flush water is discharged from the rim discharge port and swirls toward the back region of the bowl, and so the flush water no longer flows downward onto the waste receiving surface in the front region of the bowl. Therefore, the human waste that is adhered to the waste receiving surface in the front region of the bowl cannot be washed away sufficiently.
In the conventional flush toilet 100 as shown in
On the other hand, as in the flush toilet described in the aforementioned Patent Literature 2, it may be considered to use a variable flow rate device that varies the flow rate of the flush water discharged from the rim discharge port to suppress the change of the discharge pattern of the flush water discharged from the rim discharge port due to the change of the water supply pressure of the flush water from the service water pipe. However, the use of a variable flow rate device unfavorably increases the product cost.
Therefore, the present invention is directed to solve the problems described above, and is directed to a flush toilet that can cause the flush water to evenly reach the entire waste receiving surface to wash away the human waste adhered to the waste receiving surface while suppressing a product cost increase.
To achieve such an object, an aspect of the present invention is a flush toilet configured to discharge human waste by flushing with flush water, in which the flush toilet includes a bowl and a drain trap pipe line; the bowl includes a waste receiving surface configured to receive human waste, a rim located above the waste receiving surface, and a standing water part that is located below the waste receiving surface and configured so that a standing water surface forms inside the standing water part; the drain trap pipe line is connected to a lower part of the bowl and configured to discharge human waste; the rim includes an inner circumferential surface, and one rim discharge port configured to generate a swirling flow of flush water by discharging the flush water along the inner circumferential surface of the rim; the waste receiving surface includes an upper part and a lower part; the upper part of the waste receiving surface has a concave shape extending around an entire circumference of the bowl; and the lower part of the waste receiving surface has a convex shape extending around the entire circumference of the bowl.
According to the aspect of the present invention having such a configuration, the waste receiving surface includes an upper part and a lower part; the upper part of the waste receiving surface has a concave shape extending around the entire circumference of the bowl; and the lower part of the waste receiving surface has a convex shape extending around the entire circumference of the bowl; therefore, the flush water can be prevented from falling from the upper part of the waste receiving surface; and the flush water can swirl around on the upper part of the waste receiving surface. As a result, the flush water can evenly reach the entire waste receiving surface to wash away the human waste adhered to the waste receiving surface. Also, a product cost increase can be suppressed because a variable flow rate device or the like is not used.

According to the aspect of the present invention, favorably, a boundary between the upper part and the lower part of the waste receiving surface is inclined downward toward a front of the bowl when viewed in side-view.
In the aspect of the present invention having such a configuration, the boundary between the upper part and the lower part of the waste receiving surface is inclined downward toward the front of the bowl when viewed in side-view; therefore, the upper part of the waste receiving surface in the front region of the bowl can be larger, and more flush water can swirl around on the upper part of the waste receiving surface.
According to the aspect of the present invention, favorably, an incline angle of the upper part of the waste receiving surface relative to a horizontal plane is smaller in a front region of the bowl than in the back region of the bowl when viewed in side-view.
In the aspect of the present invention having such a configuration, the incline angle of the upper part of the waste receiving surface relative to the horizontal plane is smaller in the front region of the bowl than in the back region of the bowl when viewed in side-view, and so more flush water can swirl around on the upper part of the waste receiving surface in the front region of the bowl.
According to the aspect of the present invention, favorably, the rim discharge port is located in one of a left region or a right region of the bowl when viewed in plan; and a width of the upper part of the waste receiving surface is larger in the one of the left region or the right region than in the other of the left region or the right region when viewed in plan.
