FIG. 1 is a plan view of a housing for a fire and smoke detector, showing my new design;

FIG. 2 is a side elevational view thereof;

FIG. 3 is a cross sectional view taken substantially along the lines 3--3 of FIG. 1; and

FIG. 4 is a partial cross sectional view taken substantially along the lines 4--4 of FIG. 2.
