The foundation has a plurality of pivotally connected transverse plates that are moved to bend the mattress to a desired contour and shape. Open top recesses in the foundation located below the plates accommodate bags have flexible walls. The bags are separately expandable and contractible to move the plates to selected elevated positions. The recesses hold the bags in lifting positions relative to the plates when the bags are inflated. The bags fit into the recesses when deflated to allow the plates to move to a horizontal position. The bed is equipped with a vibrator that is operable to vibrate the air mattress.

The receptacle is sized to surround the chamber so that the amount of fluid in the chamber is sufficient to permit the flow of fabric through the chamber and the amount of fluid in the kier outside the receptacle is sufficient to meet net pressure suction heat requirements of the pumping system employed by the apparatus.

Spaced along the length of the inclined edge of the platform are a plurality of openings into which a drapery hook assembly can be installed and locked, by means of a clamp interacting with the rim of the platform. A pair of identical master carriers can be used to create an overlap in adjacent drapery panels without the necessity for using a projecting arm for this purpose. Attached to the outer face of the upper edge of the drapery is a baton which is attached to the drapery at substantially the point at which the drapery is suspended from the master carrier. Accordingly, when force is applied to the baton to move the drapery, little or no torque is created.

When the pin tenter clamp is open, the stripper plate resides above the tenter pins. In use on a tenter apparatus, the present pin tenter clamp first holds the fabric to be stretched between the resilient, elastomeric clamp pads before the tenter pins may extend threrethrough.

After establishing an electrical connection between this strip and the supplementary surface at the other side an electrical resonant circuit is produced. Due to the sealed on aluminum foil strip the etching procedure is reduced to only one side with the advantage that considerably less poisonous etching sludge is thus produced.

The bushing is made from a milder steel than the rod so that, upon wearing out, it can be readily replaced by removing the pin and replacing the bushing.

The process is repeatedly carried out until all of the commutators are removed from the tube. The process may also include a commutator tang forming step and a tang ejection capability. An empty tube is replaced successively by other tubes filled with commutators so that the process can be repeatedly carried out over an indefinite period of time.

    Abstract: A method of forming a tubular, double wall, air gap, exhaust duct component for an internal combustion engine, the resulting exhaust duct component, and the blank for such, involving providing an inner membrane duct element, with orifices therethrough spaced along its length, providing an outer structural duct element in 360 degree engagement with the inner duct element in the areas where forming and bending operations are to be performed, conducting such forming and bending operations, securing the resulting blank in a hydroforming die cavity, sealing the ends of the inner element to the ends of the outer element, plugging the ends of the inner element, injecting a liquid, preferably water, into the inner duct element and increasing the pressure on the liquid to expand the outer element away from the inner element and ultimately into conformity with the die cavity while the inner element floats in place, in a manner to create an air gap substantially over the full length of the duct component, i.e.

The upper portion of the tool assembly is releasably engaged in the passage of the drive head by interengaging surfaces about a portion of the outer surface of the upper portion of the tool assembly and about a portion of the wall of the drive head defining the passage, and these surfaces are disengageable by rotation of the tool assembly within the passage to move the interengaging surfaces out of alignment. A releasable fastener in the drive head is engageable with the upper portion of the tool assembly to secure the tool assembly in a rotated position in which the surfaces are interengaged.
