  • Patent number: PP8215
Abstract: A new and distinct variety of golden pygmy barberry plant named Bogozam is provided. The new variety can be readily distinguished from its parents, Berberis thunbergii `Atropurpurea Nana` and Berberis thunbergii `Aurea` (both nonpatented in the United States). For instance, the new variety forms a dwarf, compact, broad low-mounding plant; generally forms mature leaves of a brighter and more intense golden coloration; generally forms new growth having a brighter and more intense red coloration; generally exhibits a rapid growth rate between internodes of a relatively short length and a dense growth habit; and is more tolerant to sun scald. The new variety is particularly well suited for growing as attractive ornamentation in the landscape.

  • Patent number: RE34230
Abstract: A casement operator for a window has a deployment linkage connectable between the window frame and the base and operable to cause movement of the window sash. A gear drive drives the deployment linkage, which coacts with a sash lock and a lock linkage having a window-actuated trigger. A plurality of rigid links are in pivotal engagement with the deployment linkage and in driving engagement with the gear drive, and a tie rod is disposed intermediate the rigid links and the sash lock. A trip lever with a trigger extending beyond the window frame is pivotally secured to the base and engageable with the lock linkage for restricting the movement of said lock linkage during a non-locking mode of operation of the operator.

  • Patent number: RE34232
Abstract: This improved cattle stanchion discloses an essentially coplanar and rectangular frame for automatically locking and manually releasing the heads of cattle. The frame unit consists of three vertical bars and two essentially horizontal bars, the top of which being slightly arched upwardly to form an apex over the center of the frame while the bottom bar is slightly arched downwardly to form a nadir under the center of the frame. These arches define an arc of travel for the central pivotally mounted vertical bar with an annular ring extension around the top arch of the frame. The annular ring cooperates with a locking mechanism consisting of pairs of elliptical latching sleeves mounted linearly apart and above the frame unit on a horizontal bar which may be operated by an attendant to either lock or unlock the stanchion.

  • Patent number: RE34234
Abstract: An internal combustion engine control apparatus has a digital arithmetic unit to which signals are inputted from a plurality of detectors such as detectors for detecting an operational state of the engine and air fuel ratio detector and controls a fuel air ratio and ignition timing according to output signals from the arithmetic unit. The apparatus comprises by a misfire detector for detecting a misfiring state of the engine, NOx concentration detector and a controller for controlling the fuel air ratio and the ignition timing so as to fall within a tolerable stable combustion range defined by a detected misfire boundary and a detected NOx limit. The misfiring state and/or NOx concentration can be detected through detection of temperature change in the combustion chamber by a detector. The detector comprises a black body disposed in the combustion chamber and a fused silica cable mounting the black body.
