Abstract: The subject of this application is a new and distinct variety of orchid, resulting from a mutation of a plant in a tissue cultured population of C. loddigesii var. Harrisoniana. The cultivar of the application is outstanding because of its superior flower quality to all of the same market and botanical class which combines heavy texture with its glowing sheen of rose-lavender petals and white-cream labellum tipped with lavender. The shape of the flower is superior to all equivalent cultivars of this species. Because of its exceptional substance the flowers have a longer bloom life than all other cultivars of the species.
Abstract: A device is provided for detecting the ullage level and flow in a vessel by detecting the presence of a solid or liquid material in proximity to a microwave detector. The device may be mounted to the side of the vessel or suspended inside the vessel so as to bring the microwave sensor into proximity with the surface of the contents of the vessel. A microwave bridge circuit may be used to detect a change in either the amplitude or phase of a signal reflected by the material within the vessel compared to a reference signal tuned to either the presence or absence of the anticipated solid or liquid material. In one embodiment, the reflected material signal is compared to the signal from a sample chamber containing the material to be detected. The device can reliably detect the level of multiple interfaces for various materials having distinct electric or magnetic properties.

Abstract: A catheter, which is adapted to be inserted into a body lumen, comprises a symmetrical cylindrical control handle, an elongate tubular catheter body, and a flexible catheter tip having a lumen offset from the axis of the catheter tip. The control handle comprises a housing having a piston chamber at its distal end. A piston is mounted in the piston chamber and is afforded lengthwise movement. The proximal end of the catheter body is fixedly attached to the distal end of the piston. A puller wire is attached to the housing and extends through the piston, through and coaxial with the catheter body and into the offset lumen of the catheter tip where it is attached to the wall of the catheter tip. Lengthwise movement of the piston relative to the housing results in deflection of the catheter tip.

Abstract: A head support for a patient support table having a skull securing clamp that is mounted to a non-circular support bar for selective attachment to the side rails of the patient support table. The skull clamp includes a non-circular support aperture for receiving the non-circular support bar. The structural components of the head support are made from radiolucent material and the support bar includes mounting posts at its first and second ends so that arms for mounting the support bar to the side rails may be located out of the path of the x-rays through the patient's head. The non-circular shape of the support aperture and the support bar prevent inadvertent rotation of the radiolucent skull securing clamp with respect to the radiolucent support bar. The location of the mounting posts on the support arms and the utilization of the radiolucent material results in fewer artifacts in the developed x-ray picture.
