  • Patent number: RE34549
Abstract: An air conditioning system has a negative ion-filtering device in union for purifying function which comprises a PC board to produce negative ions, a high voltage lead, high voltage electric sheets, and a dust mesh, being positioned in the air blow direction path of the air conditioner for use after the temperature adjustment is made. Electric sheets which produce negative ions make the passing dust particles of the air carry negative charges and be sucked attached to the dust mesh producing positive ions, this way achieving purification of the air passing there-through.

  • Patent number: RE34552
Abstract: A plastic preform from which a plastic container is blow molded. The preform replaces a three layer preform by providing a preform which is of a five layer construction in the base forming portion thereof and wherein a secondary material which forms the core layer of the three layer preform construction is divided into an inner intermediate layer and an outer intermediate layer by a third injection of material. The third injected material is preferably the same material as the primary material which is first injected. This results in the reduction of the cost of the preform and also provides remaining in the injection nozzle a quantity of the last injected material which is the same as the first injected material for the following preform in the same preform injection mold cavity.

  • Patent number: 5287561
Abstract: A fabric hat which is usable as such by a child and is also convertible into a flying play object that can be thrown and caught in the manner of a Frisbee. The fabric hat is formed by a pair of dome-shaped sections, one nested within the other to define the crown of the hat, the circular rims of the sections being joined to an annular disc defining the brim of the hat. To convert the hat into a flying object, a toy balloon in its collapsed state is inserted through a port in one of the sections into a space between the sections. The balloon is then inflated to transform the crown into a ball encircled at its equator by the annular disc, whereby the resultant flying object can then be thrown and caught. The hat is packaged in a two-ply display card whose front ply has a circular opening therein through which the crown projects, the shorter rear ply having an arcuate indentation that matches a corresponding portion of the opening.

  • Patent number: 5287562
Abstract: A helmet has attached to its lower rim an inflatable bag which normally is folded so as not to restrict normal head and neck movements of the wearer but on inflation will fill the gap between the helmet rim and shoulders of a wearer. Carried by the helmet and preferably packed with the bag is a package including a conventional gas generator, igniter and battery. A switch to operate the igniter is located in the crown area of the helmet and is closable on an impact with a predetermined force on the crown of the helmet. When closed the bag is almost instantaneously inflated and fills the gap to transfer most if not all of the impact force to the shoulders and relieve the cervical spine of a damaging axial compressive force. In another version, the attachment is a rigid padded ring conforming to the contour of the lower rim or base of the helmet and the lower part of the face guard, if any.

The outer body comprises a pair of sidewalls connected at the rear edges to a rear wall, and a horizontally oriented top connected to both sidewalls and the rear wall resulting in a boxlike structure open at the front. The rear wall of the outer body is adjacent to and flush with a vertical wall of the restroom. The urinal bottom is recessed in the restroom floor and gradually sloped toward a centrally positioned drain. The inner body of the urinal consists of two inner sidewalls connected along their front edge to the outer body sidewalls and along their rear edge to an inner rear wall parallel to the outer rear wall.

  • Patent number: 5287564
Abstract: A multi-purpose water pressure plunger employs a source of pressurized water to dislodge clogs in bathroom drainage pipes and the like. The plunger is fashioned of a resilient cone-shaped cup, a rigid handle, an adjustable valve, and a means of connection to a pressurized source of water. Sealing against and partially extending into a drain opening, the cup permits full thrust of pressurized water into a drainage pipe without a backflow of water. The cup consists of an upper, deformable portion, and a solid, occlusive bottom portion defining a nipple-shaped end. A flow of pressurized water is supplied to the cup through an elongated and ridged handle with a lengthwise aperture therethrough. An adjustable valve including a ball component and a regulating lever controls the flow of water into the handle, and thus, to the clogged drain.

  • Patent number: 5287565
Abstract: A simple yet inexpensive device is presented which is used to divide the water normally supplied to the spill tube and gooseneck reservoir of a commode. Dividing the water supplied to the spill tube and diverting a substantial portion of that water to a holding tank of a commode saves water that is normally unnecessarily fed directly down the drain in the refilling process. The device is a small plastic insert that has a generally rectangular main body. At one end of this main body is a horizontal inlet tube. At the bottom of the main body are a number of lower vertical outlet tubes. In order to evenly disperse the inlet water among the vertical outlet tubes, the upper mouth of the vertical outlet tubes is constricted by narrowing the diameter of the mouth with respect to the inner diameter of the inlet tube. Water is thus distributed evenly among the lower outlet tubes.

  • Patent number: 5287567
Abstract: A time shared arrangement for delivering spa water and pool water to a water heater is disclosed in which check valves respond to the presence of spa water and pool water pressure. Water drawn from the pool is diverted into two streams, one passes through a check valve to a water heater and the other passes through a check valve to a return line. The flow of pool water to the heater is isolated by a further check valve forced to a close position by the pressure of the pool water. Water drawn from the spa is diverted into two streams, one passes through a check valve to a water heater and the other passes through a check valve to a return line. The flow of spa water to the heater is isolated by a check valve forced is closed by the pressure of spa water.
