  • Patent number: 5375281
Abstract: The instant invention provides a method for treating, in particular, for dyeing fabric warps, wherein the warps in the raw (white) state pass through a so-called sizing bath which rigidifies them and makes them more wear-resistant. The warps so treated are then woven and the textile so made is dyed in a manner to drastically lower costs. The invention calls for untreated warps in the raw (white) state to pass in-line through at least one bath containing the size in a single operational step, the dyes to be deposited being present as a viscous or pasty substance in the bath in addition to the size.

  • Patent number: 5375299
Abstract: The present invention relates to a clamping device for semipermanently fixing a part, such as a fluid conveying hose, dustproof bellows, axial boot or the like, on the circumferential surface of an desired mating device. According to this invention, even if such part looses its elasticity owing to aging, the clamping device maintains the permanent stable firm clamping state. For this purpose, the inner and outer overlap portions (11a, 11b) of the clamp band (11) are forced by an operating tool to spread until the seizing tooth (18a) of the inner overlap portion (11a) and the fixed tooth (22b) of the outer overlap portion (11b) seize each other, thereby contracting the bore diameter of the clamp band (11). This state is locked by a prop key (23) extending from the outer overlap portion (11b) to engage the inner overlap portion (11a), while an elastic hump (25) for storing the spring force acting circumferentially of the clamp band (11) is outwardly bulged from the outer overlap portion (11b).

  • Patent number: 5375308
Abstract: A valve spring compressor apparatus for removing and installing valve springs on automotive racing engines includes a valve seat and a compressor pump assembly. The valve seat is placed between the valve spring and the engine housing. The compressor engages the valve spring seat with a support arm and extends a piston toward the valve spring seat, thus compressing the valve spring and allowing for the removal of the retainer ring and keeper lock. The compressor uses a source of compressed air to drive a power piston into a compression chamber multiplying the supply air pressure several times. This multiplied air pressure is retained in the extension piston chamber by a one-way valve. As the extension piston extends, the multiplied air pressure in the extension piston is maintained by repeated cycling of the compressor.

Hereby the multifilament yarn is fed from a delivery godet, around which it is wrapped, at a first velocity into a main drawing zone and removed from the main drawing zone at a second velocity by a drawing-off godet around which it is wrapped. The drawing in the main drawing zone takes place between the delivery godet and the drawing-off godet whereby the drawing-off godet is heated to a temperature of between 160.degree. C. and 240.degree. C. The first and the second velocities are so adjusted with respect to each other that the second velocity is 70% to 180% greater than the first velocity.

Abstract: A method for repairing a damaged sill member of a vehicle bodywork, wherein the sill member is formed as an extruded hollow section member which is disposed connected between two cast light-metal node elements. A damaged girder portion of an extruded hollow section sill member is severed at a distance from each node element, and is removed. A girder stub portion of the original hollow section sill member remains attached to each node element. Short sleeve inserts are slidably inserted into the open ends of each of the girder stub portions such that a portion of a sleeve insert extends into an associated stub portion and another portion of the sleeve insert projects out of the associated stub portion. Abstract: A pallet nail press used to drive random fasteners extending from the pallet after repair and assembly has taken place. The pallet nail press includes multiple continuous feed and exit conveyors that pre-position individual repaired pallets within a press support assembly having multiple vertical lift beams below the conveyors. The vertical lift beams are driven by a lift bag assembly. In use, the pre-positioned pallet is lifted off the continuous conveyor and driven against correspondingly positioned anvil beams driving the outwardly extending fasteners flush with the pallet. Sensors activate positioning pins and lift bag air assembly in a selected nature, cycling the pallets through the pallet nail press.

Abstract: A method for forming a small outline "J" lead for a semiconductor device having a main body and a lead comprises three bend steps. The lead comprises a surface attached to the body, a distal end away from the body, and a proximal area interposed between the attached surface and the distal end. Next, the proximal area of the lead is bent close to the attached surface such that the proximal area of the lead forms an angle of between about 60.degree. and 90.degree. with the attached surface of the lead. Finally, the arc in the distal end is increased to a radius of between about 0.035" and 0.045".
