The saddle blanket is then folded over the felt pad to receive a saddle. The saddle bladder may be inflated without dismounting by squeezing an inflation bulb which communicates with the inflation chamber of the saddle bladder to provide a selected degree of pressure equalization between the saddle and the horse.

  • Patent number: 5548949
Abstract: A hay making machine including a carrying structure which can be attached to a tractor such that the carrying structure can travel with the tractor in a forward direction. A substantially vertical support axle is mounted to the carrying structure and supports a rotor having hay making tools. A girder is attached to the support axle. A support structure is articulated to the girder via one substantially vertical pivot spindle positioned forward of the support axle. Two beams, each carrying two carrying wheels, are connected to the support at opposite sides. At curves and turns of the trajectory of the tractor, all of the carrying wheels will pivot together with their beams and the support structure around the pivot spindle. The wheels will therefore be oriented together, without skidding, in the forward direction.

  • Patent number: 5548955
Abstract: The catalytic muffler for small internal combustion engines has a venturi with a flattened profile formed from two stamped pieces, namely the muffler housing and the separator plate. This design eliminates the need for a separate piece of tubing or machined part, as is required in prior art round venturi devices. The catalytic muffler also includes a noise attenuator disposed upstream of the catalyst, thereby eliminating the back pressure which is otherwise applied to the venturi when the noise attenuator is disposed downstream of the catalyst. In addition, back pressure on the venturi is reduced by sizing the port in the separator plate and the exhaust port so that their respective cross sectional areas are substantially equal to the cross sectional area of the catalyst.
