Abstract: A new and distinct variety of shrub rose plant (i.e., garden rose plant) is provided which forms in abundance on a substantially continuous basis attractive semi-double blossoms that are Dresden Yellow suffused with Neyron Rose. The vegetation is vigorous and the growth habit is broad and bushy. Attractive medium green and semi-glossy foliage is formed. Good disease resistance is exhibited. Additionally, the new variety grows very well on its own roots following asexual reproduction by cuttings.

Abstract: Process of drilling a bore into a geopressured-geothermal reservoir containing a gas-laden fluid, allowing the fluid to escape through the bore, passing the fluid into a rotatable turbine which causes a generator to produce electricity, passing the fluid to means for separating gas from the fluid, and passing the fluid into a multi-effect distillation system to extract fresh water from the fluid to produce fresh water and saturated brine.
Abstract: The basic apparatus of the invention is a triple effect absorption cycle apparatus, comprising first, second and third generators each containing an aqueous absorption fluid and operating at successively higher temperatures; first, second and third condensers operating at successively higher temperatures, and operatively communicating with the generators; first heat exchange means cooperating between the third condenser and second generator, and between the second condenser and first generator, for directing energy therebetween; one, two or three absorbers and one, two or three fluid loops for directing aqueous absorption fluid between absorbers and second heat exchange means for exchanging energy between aqueous absorption fluid flows in said loops; and one, two or three evaporators operatively communicating with the absorbers.
Abstract: A track suspension system for a vehicle having a frame and a continuous flexible track. A drive wheel is attached to the frame for engaging and driving the continuous flexible track. A leading idler arm is pivotally attached to the frame on each side thereof and a leading idler wheel is rotatably mounted for engagement with the track. A trailing idler arm is provided on each side of the vehicle and is pivotally attached to the frame and a trailing idler wheel engagement with the track is rotatably mounted to one end of each idler trailing arm. A leading mid-roller assembly engagement with the track is operably attached to the leading idler arm and a trailer mid-roller assembly is in engagement with the track and is attached to the trailing idler arm. A cushioning device interconnects the leading and trailer idler arms for providing shock absorbing function.
Abstract: A thermocouple probe 10 suitable for use in a gas turbine engine comprises a thermocouple element 12 which is coaxially arranged inside a protective sheath 16. The thermocouple element 12 is resiliently supported by a helical member 18 which insulates the element 12 from deleterious vibrations induced in the sheath 16. In use, the thermocouple probe 10 projects through an aperture 30 in the casing 32 of a gas chamber 34. Vibrations in the probe 10 are further reduced by ensuring that the longitudinal axis AA of the probe is angularly offset from the central axis BB of the aperture 30, such that the outer periphery of the sheath 16 is in contact with the inner periphery of the aperture 30 in two diametrically opposite and axially offset locations.
Abstract: A method for selecting data storage media for demount in an automated storage library, and an automated storage library and program product therefor are disclosed. Preemptive demount of storage media is permitted when all peripheral storage devices in the library are occupied and one or more of such devices remains inactive for a predetermined time. Storage media may be demounted to service existing mount requests, provided the peripheral storage devices in which the media are mounted are inactive. There is also a need, however, to ensure the availability of an empty device to service future mount requests, particularly in libraries having only a single gripper mechanism. Thus, even when no mount requests are pending, the status of the peripheral storage devices is continually monitored.

Abstract: A lithographic plate includes a substrate made of a polyester film having a light transmittance of 50% or less, a bending angle in the range of 30.degree. to 90.degree., and a rupture strength after being bent of 8 kg/mm.sup.2 or more. Alternatively, a lithographic plate includes a substrate made of a polymer film containing a polyester and a thermoplastic resin incompatible with the polyester, wherein the polymer film is oriented along at least one axis and has minute cavities formed by the orientation, and the density of the film is in the range of 1.05 g/cm.sup.3 to 1.3 g/cm.sup.3.
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for providing nutrition to elderly patients. Pursuant to the present invention, the enteral composition includes a protein source, a lipid source, and a carbohydrate source. Preferably, the protein source includes at least 18% of the total calories. In an embodiment, the carbohydrate source includes a source of dietary fiber including a balance of soluble to insoluble fiber ratio of approximately 1:3. Still further, the composition of the present invention also includes increased levels of certain vitamins and minerals.

Abstract: A suture anchor device having an anchor member with outwardly extending wing members and an actuating wedge member. The suture anchor device is inserted into a bore hole in a bone as part of an orthopedic surgical procedure wherein soft tissue such as a tendon or ligament is attached to the surface of the bone. The wing members are spread outwardly by the wedge member to lock the suture anchor device in the bone. The suture anchor has similar utility in soft tissue applications.

Abstract: Armor, in particular body armor for female wearers is made of multiple layers (30) of penetration-resistant material for example made of polyaramid fibers, specially shaped to fit over a shaped area to be protected, e.g. the bust of a female wearer. The armor's shaped part is held in shape by a series of darts (37) in successive layers (30) of the material. Each dart in a material layer comprises a generally V-shaped section (35) whose edges (37) are joined to form the dart. The V-shaped section (35) of the material is folded on itself to form a pleat (40) which is folded over to one side of the dart (37) to form an added thickness overlaying or underlying an adjacent part of the material (30). The darts (37) are angularly offset from one another with the pleats (40) oriented in directions so that the added thickness is distributed substantially evenly, thereby avoiding bulges or stiffness and improving the wearing comfort.

Abstract: A limb guard serves to protect a part of a limb from an external impact force and includes an elongate pad member, an elongate sheet layer mounted on the pad member to form an accommodation space between the elongate sheet layer and the elongate pad member, and a one-piece resilient impact absorbing member. The shock absorbing member is inserted in the accommodation space, and has a longitudinally extending central section of a first thickness adapted to resist and consequently absorb the external impact force applied thereon, and two lateral wing sections which are integrally formed with and which extend laterally from two longitudinal edges of the central section.
Abstract: A painter's garment for supporting on a wearer a prescribed paint supply container of the type having a handle and a prescribed paint application tool of the type having an opening. The garment includes a belt for mounting the garment on the wearer. An apron is secured to and depends from the belt. The apron has a front face. A first connector is secured to the apron for engaging and removably holding the handle of the container. A second connector is secured to the apron for engaging and removably holding the paint application tool. The first and second connectors and the apron are relatively arranged and configured such that when the container handle is suspended from the first connector and the paint application tool is supported from the second connector, the container is disposed adjacent the apron and the paint application tool is positioned over or within the container.

The adaptable garment includes one or more removable adhesively attachable stickers, which preferably include a pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive layer, and a garment having a sufficiently rough surface to permit reversible adhesion with the stickers. The stickers are adhesively attached to the rough surface of the garment and are capable of being removed and relocated to substantially any other location on the rough surface of the garment by a child wearing the garment.
Abstract: An article, such as an apparel, bears a laminated image in a transparent window. The article has, for instance, a transparent window on the outside and an opening inside for inserting an image-bearing panel into a pouch for displaying the image through the window. The article may be reversible, in which case it may carry a panel having images on two sides, the panel being visible through transparent material either inside or outside the apparel.
