  • Patent number: 6119273
Abstract: A free-size cap with a size adjusting band is disclosed. In the cap, six gores, integrated into a crown, are made of a stretchable woven fabric, with a weft directional elongation of the gores being higher than a warp directional elongation of the gores. A sweat band is attached along a lower edge of the integrated gores. The sweat band is made of a stretchable woven fabric, with a weft directional elongation of the sweat band being higher than the weft directional elongation of the gores. The warp directional elongation of the gores is 25%.+-.2%, and the weft directional elongation of the gores is 50%.+-.5%. The weft directional elongation of the sweat band is 65%.+-.5%. The free-size cap is thus primarily and manually adjusted in size by its size adjusting band and is finely and automatically adjusted in size by the elasticity of the stretchable woven fabric of both the crown and the sweat band. The cap thus allows a user to feel comfortable while wearing the cap.

  • Patent number: 6119276
Abstract: A sport goggle and a system for ventilating a sport goggle is shown and described. The sport goggle has a strap, a lens structure, and a frame having a first edge extending laterally across the wearer's forehead. The first edge is shaped such that a portion of the first edge is curved in a concave up direction when the sport goggle is in a position of use, and such that, when the sport goggle is worn in combination with a helmet, one or more gaps are created between the first edge and a second edge on the front of the helmet. The first edge has a first opening located to allow air to flow into the goggle chamber. Increased goggle ventilation through the first opening can be caused by either the concave up portion of the first edge, or the gaps between the first and second edges.

  • Patent number: 6119280
Abstract: An all plastic leak-proof, male urinal has a cap with an outstanding circumferential bead projecting therefrom. The inside of the bottle neck has a circumferential depression which receives the bead. The cap has a flat disk-like diaphragm with a reinforced area in the middle thereof. When the cap is placed over the neck and the reinforced area is pushed, the lid takes on a somewhat conical shape which causes it to slide through the neck to a location where the bead confronts the depression. The reinforced area is released and the memory of the plastic of the lid forces the bead into the depression. A handle on the bottle is spaced from the bottle to form a space which has a cove area that locks onto a rail on a hospital bed.

  • Patent number: 6119282
Abstract: A toilet drip and splash guard is comprised of an annular sheet with a central opening. A down-turned flange is arranged at an inner edge of the sheet, and an upturned flange is arranged at an outer edge of the sheet. A tongue is arranged at a rear end of the sheet. The guard is positioned on a toilet rim, with the tongue inserted between the hinges of the toilet seat to prevent the guard from rotating. The inner diameter of the guard is slightly smaller than an inner diameter of the toilet rim. The guard is centered about the toilet rim by having the down-turned flange engaged around the inner edge of the toilet rim. The toilet rim is thus shielded from urine drips and splashes. The guard is substantially wider than the toilet rim, so that it is projected substantially beyond the toilet rim for shielding the floor under the toilet from urine drips and splashes. The front of the guard is narrower than the sides so as not to obstruct a user standing in front of the toilet.

  • Patent number: 6119283
Abstract: A method and apparatus for evacuation of liquids, such as wastewater from e.g. wash basins, urinals, bath tubs or showers, whereby the liquid is collected in a sump, generates a hydrostatic pressure and is evacuated from the sump through a vacuum pipeline after a predetermined hydrostatic pressure is generated. In order to avoid flexible control conduits and to achieve time controlled evacuation with a simple mechanism, valves are integrated in a housing and operated by pressure differences acting on diaphragms after a certain hydrostatic pressure has been generated. One of the valves opens a connection between the sump and the vacuum pipeline to evacuate the liquid.

Abstract: An overhead door having two tracks each of which is designed to be mounted on the side of an opening in a building. Each track has a script-v shape in cross-section, and a groove or channel that runs along its longitudinal axis. One or more panels are positioned between the tracks and coupled to each other. Each panel has a multiple-layer design that provides superior insulation. At least two plungers are positioned on each panel and each plunger has a first end which is biased in a first position. In the first position, the first end of the plunger rides within the channel of the track. The plungers are designed with a low-friction tip that wears away after repeatedly traveling in the channel of the track. The plungers may be designed to release from the track when the panel on which they are mounted is impacted, to rotate in whole or in part as they travel in a channel of a track, or both.

A fillet having a plurality of wires extending therefrom is wound on a cylinder of a finishing machine. The outer ends of the wires extending from the fillet are angled at approximately 80.degree. from vertical. The wires are covered with an abrasive coating which is applied by an arc spray system. The coating extends around the perimeter of the wire from at least just below the bend of the wires and extending to the outer tip of the wires. The fabric is driven over a nip roll that is adjusted to bring the fabric in closer contact with the wires on the cylinder which is rotating. An alternative embodiment of accomplishing the same type of soft finish such as suede or washed or faded denim finish is accomplished with multi rolls (or kiss rolls) finish machinery using the coated wire fillet on each roll.
