If new paper is loaded during the waiting period for the operation of the paper size setting key, the CPU detects count value Cs corresponding to the feeder position to which new paper has been loaded and sets the counter at a count value of Cs−1.

The objects are lifted upward from the stack one at a time and separated therefrom by progressive adhesive action starting from the trailing end of the object in a transport direction. Once lifted by the adhesion device, the objects are transported in the transport direction by the transport device. The adhesion device may be magnetic for magnetizable articles or may be a suction device. Various techniques for moving suction and/or adhesion progressively along the object to be lifted in the transport direction are disclosed, including progressive application of suction, suction chamber arrangements for accomplishing that and the use of blown air to create a vacuum condition for lifting the sheets. The transport device might comprise a belt for moving the lifted objects. The transport of one object may be occurring while the next object is being lifted.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a leaktight seal with a lip capable of gripping a shaft end and being fitted behind a cap. When the cap is in place covering the shaft end and closing the housing, it presses on a stop flange of seal and pushes the lip outwards so that the rotation of the shaft end causes no wear on the seal. When the cap is removed, the housing remains open but the lip grips the shaft end and restores the leaktight seal. This fitting is of particular use for shaft ends fitted with a key slot used for manually rotating a rotating machine during the inspection phase of servicing, the shaft end being driven during normal use of the machine.

Rail guides and low frictions strips also are relocated from the slider main members to the spacer caps. This relocation enables the modified slider to be mounted on standard body rails of a semi-trailer, which are mounted on and depend from the underside of the trailer body.

As the module cover 28 is depressed, only the module cover 28 moves backward so that the horn switch 54 is actuated by pushing action via a rod 66. When the inflator 24 is actuated, the module cover 28 is securely supported by the hooks 46.

The airbag module has a generator support connected with the skeleton and a covering cap fastened to the generator support. The covering cap is designed as an actuating device for generating a horn signal. At least two recesses are provided in the foam casing of the steering wheel skeleton and on the generator support insert pins are provided corresponding to the recesses. The pins have axes aligned parallel to the steering wheel axis. Further, the pins serve for centering the covering cap relative to the foam casing of the steering wheel skeleton in a plane perpendicular to the steering wheel axis.

The apparatus (10) includes a focusing sleeve (78) for constraining the spherical projectile (76) to move in a predetermined direction from the initiator (74) to the wall portion (60). The focusing sleeve (78) has an axis (142) located on the axis (80) of the initiator (74).

    Abstract: The air bag includes a bag body, a mouth portion for introducing gas supplied from an inflator into the bag body, and a fixture portion for fixing the air bag to a case. The mouth portion is disposed in a central portion of the case. A vehicle front side portion of the bag body located on the front side of the vehicle relative to the mouth portion and a vehicle rear side portion of the bag body located on the rear side of the vehicle relative to the mouth portion are folded to be accommodated between the mouth portion and front and rear inner faces of the case respectively. Upon activation of the inflator, a passenger facing portion of the bag body that faces the passenger in an ultimate deployment state of the air bag is first deployed to a predetermined extent. Thereafter, due to application of tension forces acting in such a direction as to deploy the air bag, the other portions of the bag body that are in their folded states are deployed toward the vehicle front and rear sides respectively.

    Abstract: A pressurized leaking flange joint is sealed with a ¼ circle load support structure, a jacking bolt extending therethrough and applying a radial load to a sealing plug between the flange gap. The sealing plug is a graphite packing ring placed into the flange gap on either side of a gasket centering ring, and a carbon steel compression ring (two ⅛ circles placed end-to-end) placed on top of the packing ring on either side of the gasket centering ring. The load support structure is installed such that the jacking bolt is centered over the flange gap. The jacking bolt is torqued and subsequently applies a radial load to the compression ring, which radial load is transferred to the load support structure and then to two flange bolts against which the load support structure bares. The radial load on the compression rings compresses the packing material into the pathway of the leak, thereby sealing the same.

The overlap of the left and right edges at the top edge changes when the spacing between the first and second detents is changed. The collar also includes a first fastener for fixing the overlap of the left and right edges at the top edge when the edge of the hole is engaged in the groove and a second fastener for fixing the overlap of the left and right edges at the bottom edge. In the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the groove includes a layer of a sealing material for forming a seal between the sheet of material and the edge of the hole.
